| Not clean, I have been bad all week and have not had time to post. I am going to give This another try and see if I can continue. At this point if I can make it a day I will be happy. It is so hard in the summer with the kids home from school. I think I have become addicted to Frito's flavor twists (barbeque). Once I eat one I am done and cannot stop. Thankfully there are no more in my house. I am actually writing down on paper right now what I am going to eat tommorrow so I can stay in my calorie range. Something about the summer makes it harder for me. I am always much better during the rest of the year. I did go to the store and buy lite ice cream and the skinny cow things so I can allow myself some treats when I am giving the kids ice cream instead of eating the regular stuff. I am hoping these new tactics will help. I will let you know. Restart date tommorrow, 6/25. | |||

| Please restart me for June 12. I have got to stop eating. I am going to try some of the clean eating rules from some of the above posts, mostly eating healthy most of the time and staying between 1200-1300 calories a day and 1500-1600 on weekends. It has been hard lately with alot going on. I also have been limited on my cardio as I have bronchitis and it is just hanging on and on. I have a 5 mi run scheduled for Sat and am just hoping I can do it. I ran this last year with my son (16) and we are going to do it together on Sat which is nice bonding time. He totally smokes me but I least I finish. Let's see if I can make it 7 days--my times are getting shorter and shorter. I would like to make it to July 1st, and I will try for that. | |||

| Had a bad weekend, a party on Saturday night went to a party where too many alcohol calories were the culprit and Sunday too many recovery calories needed. Not up to much on the scale and today is a new day-fresh start. My longest clean is 9 days, I need to beat that. That will be my new goal. Start date of June 4.

| Need a restart date of June 1. Yesterday was weigh in and lost 6 lbs (3 wk weigh in) and then just splurged a bit. Today I did not eat too healthy, but stayed in my calorie range. Does anyone else think the nutrition analysis is a little off, today I got an A ,and I ate an Atkins shake, a McDonalds grilled faita wrap; cheese doodles, two cupcakes and two brownie bites and that seems incredible to get an A. I say F, but I still count it as a clean day since I did not exceed 1300 calories which is my upper limit. I will eat more nutritionally sound starting tommorrow. | |||

| Made it through Sunday--let me get through today (Monday) so that this holiday weekend is behind me. We made S'mores on Saturday but I did not eat any, even though I love them. Nothing sweet all weekend and not exceeding calories and exercising.
Dee- when is your weigh in? I think we are somewhat similar, I am 5'5 and now about 141.8. (Was about 148 in the beginning of May) Really want to thank you for starting this. This was just what I needed to get the last bit of weight off when I had been just stalling every month. I have been trying since January to get this ten off ( that I gained over the holidays) and finally it has started to come off. My goal is 135 too. I lost the majority of my weight last January 2006 thru June 2006, some 40 lbs. I did good keeping it off and then over the holdiays...omg it is so easy to put on. I will NEVER do that again. I had maintained at 138 for months and was happy with my size (4 or 6), which now I am comfortable back in. Thanks!! mabear-Kudos to you for even attempting weight loss after such a tragic event. There is nothing like losing a child. I lost a daughter, on June 2 (aniversary coming up on Sat) 7 years ago. It is a tough long road. I gained a lot of weight after the loss and was not ready to even think about weight loss for a long time. God Bless you and your family during this tough time, and please do not be hard on yourself. |

| I think if you have previously had a higher fitness level than what you are at currently, and did a similar amount of cardio than you should be fine. Your body will let you know if it is too much, you may be tired and then rest/take another day off cutting it down to five. Otherwise, go for it... | |||

Went to Applebees and did not order a meal but had a bite of this burger, some appetizer, steak....dessert it was not good. I am starting fresh this morning, please reset me for today. I really fell off the clean eating wagon, I was under 1200 after dinner and then I ate ice cream, a piece of crumb cake and half of a black and white cookie washed down with a lot of milk---no grey area there, it was a cheat--didn't care just wanted immediate gratification. I am so full I feel sick. Tommorrow is a new day, I am running in a 5K so at least I know I have plenty of fuel and I will be able to push. My goal will be to be clean until my next weigh in on May 31st. | |||

| Dee--I did the same thing yesterday, I went a bit over 1300, but I have been doing alot and it was with 1 TB of natural peanut butter and a glass of skim milk. When I thought about it I realized that cheating to me would be cookies, chocolate, donuts, french fries, you get the picture. So if you reset yourself, reset me too. While I did go over the 1300, I don't feel I cheated and I decided that I will plan out what I am going to eat today to stay at 1200. | |||

| Lost 6.6 lbs. at the weigh in this morning and won the gift card!!! This has so helped me--thanks for starting this!!! Now I have to buckle down the next three weeks big time. I have been behind this whole competition which started in January, I have a shot to place but probably not at first place. I have to lose 4.1 lbs to get anything (everyone gets something if you lose 10 lbs; like a gift card of $20) and more like 8 lbs. to possibly win some cash. | I cannot believe the weekend is almost over and I have done it. This will be the first time in weeks, no months, that I will not have to face a 3+ gain on Monday only to spend the rest of the week getting back down. I went to the movies today (Spiderman 3) and ate an apple. I even held the M & M's in my hand and did not indulge.
I have a question, if you exercise, do you eat additional calories to make up what you burn? I run, like yesterday 4 mi and used about 500 calories and still ate same. I do this about 6X a week. I was so starving all day, really bad. If so do you lose as well. I am trying to eat 1200 cal a day. |

| I want to try too. Last year lost almost 40 lbs, since then have regained some. I have been trying to get off that last 10. I lose a few lbs during the week and gain it back every weekend. The weekends are a big challenge for me. Hope this challenge helps!! | |||
