This is EXACTLY the type of thread I have been looking for !  I can't wait to get it started :)  Thank you Jamme.

I am now at my goal weight (within 2 pounds or so) and this is thanks to a bit of recent running I think shocked the last few pounds off.  I eat as clean as possible with lots of protein/veggies/fuit and complex carbs(early in day).  I lift and would like more info on both lifting "better than a girl" lol and eating schedules.

Female - 36yrs old -  height 5'8.5 - weight 130 - bf% (although only from a scale so not very accurate) 19.1%.  Goal is to remain same weight and lower that percentage.

I also just started running outside and not on a treadmill.  I ran/jogged to a certain point and back home which measured to  be just a mile.  The next time my goal was to just run a tiny bit futher even if its just to the next house, turn around and go back.  you can measure the distance with your car :)

LOVE THEM !  They are on my top 3 list of favorite all time foods !  They are expensive and I try to hide them in the freezer so my hubbie doesn't indulge himself, but they are great !

I recently used a hummus on a turkey wrap instead of mayo.  It gave it a great flavor.

Ok - you're talking to someone who absolutely cannot have chocolate chips in the house unless baking with them at that moment.  Each time I buy a bag (semi-sweet is my fave) I eat the entire bag :(  By the handfulls, melted with peanut butter....you name it.  grrr.  Anyway I have found that the chocolate vitatop muffins do take care of the chocolate craving and fill me up.

I've done a turkey in a paper bag with a can of beer......or with mayo and it comes out delicious.  Super moist.  I usually take the bag off about 1/2 hour before your ready to eat and turn up the temp just to brown the outside so its crispy !

How soon after working out is recommended ?  I am at the gym at 4:30am (without eating first), home at 5:30 to get ready for work and I normally don't eat anything until 7am on my way to work, I have a vitatop or whole grain waffle with peanut butter...then fruit/yogurt around 10am......or oatmeal... 

I usually do cardio and have been working the strength training harder the last couple weeks as well.  Is it better for muscle recovery/growth to eat right away ?

I bought mine !  I LOVE the chocolate vitatop muffins.  They taste just like a chocolate muffin and are surpisingly filling !

I am up at 4:00am, have a quick cup of coffee made for the ride and at the gym by 4:30 - home by 5:30 so my husband can take his turn.  We have a new baby so its harder to make myself get up.  Sometimes he'll turn the alarm off and I fall back to sleep and never remember even hearing it !  But - I tell myself as I lay there that I will regret not going and feel sooooo good after I do go.  Its not possible for me to go after work and I would be even less motivated then so I just DO IT !   Also what works for me, silly I know, but I tell myself if I go to the gym, I get to eat a little more that day.  That ALWAYS works for me.

I've had three children, the youngest is 10 months.  I am now at my lowest weight of 130 (5 ft 8 in) but definetly have realized at least for me, my diet has a huge impact on my pooch !  If I eat better, it seems to go down considerably.  If I eat garbage and put on 3 lbs, it goes straight to my midsection !

I had the same problem.  Although I never had much of either (bbobs & butt) after having my last baby and dropping the weight, I REALLY LOST BOTH.  Unfortunately, can't change the boobs.  Husband wont pay for implants :) although a good Victoria Secret bra can lift and squish as I call it.  And I will also say that lunges and squats have lifted what butt I have left.  It also seems to have gotten rid of some of the cottage cheese look !  Lots of lunges and a good bra, thats all you need !

I think it makes sense.  For the last couple weekends, I have gone way over - possibly even binged - but by Tuesday morning, after flushing with lots of water on Monday and lots of cardio on monday - I am the same as I was the previous week.   So - I didn't necessarily lose weight or break a plateau, but I'm not gaining.  I think eating low calories during the week and for me sometimes too low due to lots of cardio - and then shocking my system on the weekends - it keeps it in balance.  Maybe keeps me out of what people call "starvation mode".  All I know is its nice to be able to indulge in the foods that I love once in a while and not be afraid I'm gaining 5 pounds.

Just to add.... I have a cup of coffee before leaving for the gym.  I do not eat until around 7 when I have a snack - usually toast or a vitatop muffin on my way to work.  Around 9am I eat another snack/breakfast.

I also work 8-4 and fight traffic.  I have 3 children ages 14, 6 and 7 months.  I have always been one to be in bed early and am not motivated to exercise after work especially with the kids and dinner to tend to.  So "my time" is in the morning.  (Except Wednesdays I go to a PIYO class after work). I am up at 4am at the gym at 4:30 - home by 5:45 so my husband can take his turn at the gym.  BUT - I will say that I am in my bed as soon as the baby and 6 year old are tucked in.  I am usually in lala land before 9:00pm.   Also - I find that gettting my workout in early gives me more energy throughout the day and I don't have to worry about fitting it in later.

Bodyscience - I am interested in the same results - but am female, 5'8" and 128 pounds.  I am happy with my weight but would like more definition.  I do weight train mostly with free weights but have a hard time getting into a weight training routine....what muscles to work - with what weights - and when.  Can you recommend a website with a "schedule" or plan ?  I like to be able to go to the gym and know exactly what I need to do instead of wandering around looking silly.  Also - as far as the diet goes is it also advisable for women to up the protein to help muscle growth?

:(   I am in the "no butt" club too.  I have been doing walking lunges, squats, speed walking on an incline..........I can't say that I now have a nice J-lo butt, but I can say that I have lost the "cottage cheese" look and I think maybe it has lifted a little !  I would love to see it more firm ?

Big Y sells Vitamuffins in the bakery department.  They are not always available but are fresh.  Also, in the freezer section they sell a box of 4 vita tops.  They are expensive but worth it !  I usually stock up from the internet when I find a coupon.

I like to cook chicken breasts in the slow cooker with some garlic cloves, diced whole tomatoes, italian seasoning, sliced mushrooms.....and have it with some whole grain angel hair pasta.

AWESOME !  My freezer is stuffed with 100 cal vitatop muffins.  My favorite is the dark chocolate pomegranite.  They have real chocl chips in them. !!   Vitamuffin and a banana - one of my favorite breakfasts !

The kettle korn 100 cal bags are my favorite standy-by for an afternoon snack at work !  It actually pops up to be alot for only 100 calories.  And it tastes good !  I'm not sure of the actual health benefits of popcorn............so I try to eat alot of fruit and veggies during the day, but this is a good way to hold me over til dinner.

I discovered diet peach ice tea (Arizona Tea) with frozen banana, strawberries or whatever frozen fruit I have available with one scoop of berry protien powder.  yummm ! When I'm not too concerned about calories, I use milk with some yogurt and frozen fruit.  You can be really creative with protien shakes !

I'm guilty of bringing my own low-cal popcorn EVERY time !!  Add a couple pieces of dark chocolate with it and your good !

I highly recommend NOT getting into the habit of taking laxatives.  After having my baby 6 months ago - I used them.  It made me feel "thinner" !  I took them daily for a couple months.  I am not, thankfully, doing ok without them but it was difficult.  Things definately DO NOT work the same after getting your body used to laxatives.  I now take a daily fiber supplement and drink ALOT of water.

I can't either !  I know I don't really need to lose weight but I can't resist getting on the scale every day and trying to burn off any extra calories I take in !  Its frustrating.

I had the same problem.  I started doing lots of cardio with walking lunges and squats.  It has definatley improved the apearance of the back of my rear.

Thank you.  Unfortunately I feel I have already become OCD with respect to weight/calorie counting.  All I think about is what is going in and how much I can burn off.   I know it is not healthy and I guess now that I have met one goal (losing the baby weight) now I need to concentrate on maintaining the smart way and find other things to occupy my thoughts !
