Hello!  I just want to tell you that you are not alone.  I have lost 30 lbs by using CC and still have about 30 to go.  I do that all the time.  Get into a rut and beyond tired of weighing and measuring everything I eat.  I eat what I want, when I want weighing myself every day, surprised that there is no gain.   But then I'll step on the scale and next thing you know, I've gained 3-5 lbs!!!!!!  It's terrible.  And it's a vicious cycle.  I am actually going through it right now!  Only I have gained 5 lbs!  I am so upset with myself and want to get back on track so badly.  I'm sorry I am not much help.  Just wanted to let you know that you're not alone.

I feel your pain.  I keep a log of everything I eat and have been working out.  I ordered the slim in 6 from beachbody.com   So, I have been working out six days a week for the past six weeks (I'm on my last week!).  In the beginning, I was losing 1 lb a week!!  It's like why I am doing all of this hard work for 1 lousy pound?  But we need to change the way that we think.  Much easier said than done.  I have days when I am just an emotional wreck with this whole weight loss thing.  It's definitely hard, physically and emotionally.  Just stick with it and eventually you will be where you want to be.  At least that's what I keep telling myself!  LOL! 

 I also wanted to know how you like hip hop abs.  I am looking for something new.  I thought about ordering turbo jam, that looks pretty good.  After doing slim in 6, I feel pretty confident about ordering something from beach body.  It's a great workout!

Here is my Tuesday weight in!

Start weight: 178

Last week: 162.5

This week: 163

I gained half a pound.  I have been doing a lot better with exercising, but haven't been eating well at all.  I also splurged on cheesecake last night!  I counted my calories all day and had lots left but I know I shouldn't stuff my face at night, especially not with cheesecake!  I am going to try my best to eat right this week.  My weight has been fluctuating that last couple of weeks between 162 and 164.  I haven't been giving it my all, so at least I know why I'm not losing.

I also wanted to welcome all the new people who have joined this forum!  I am very excited that this forum will continue!

Hi!  Well today is Tuesday and I am going to post my weight.  Doesn't seem like many people are involved with this forum anymore.  But having a weigh in day helps me to stick with things, like I have someone to answer to other than just myself! 

Last weigh in: 163

This week: 162.5

Down a half pound.  I have been working out more but not eating as well as I should be.  Hope everyone is doing well and that you haven't given up.  Losing weight is super hard, like I hate it.  But it will be so worth it once we reach our goals.

That really is amazing!  I love that show!  I am so excited to watch the new season.  I think it is very motivational!  I actually just went out and bought the book! LOL!  Just wanted to see what it was all about.  I love seeing before and after pictures and reading the success of other people.  It gives me hope!

Hi Stephanie!

Thank you!  I am proud to say that I have accomplished the 11 day cleansing diet.  The diet is by Isagenix.  I ordered the stuff online after a friend of mine completed the diet with much success!  On the non-cleansing days, you have a meal replacement shake for breakfast, for lunch you have a 400-600 calorie meal consisting of 3-5 oz of meat (should be chicken or fish) and the rest of your meal should be veggies.  You can also use dressing of your choice.  So for my lunch I alwasy made a big salad with low fat dressing and chicken.  Every 2 hours you eat 2 dry almonds and a chocolate vitamin tablet. You also must drink a ton of water (half your body weight in ounces).  On the cleansing days, you drink this cleansing drink 4 times throughout the day.  The only food you get is the almonds and chocolate vitamin tablet every 2 hours.  For the eleven days,  Day 1-2 are shake days, 3-4 are cleansing days, 5-9 are shake days and 10-11 are cleansing days.  Then you are done!  Maintenance is to replace one meal a day with a shake and to cleanse once a week.    It was very difficult, but I survived.  I think it was so hard because I did it over Labor Day weekend and went to 3 barbeques!  I just packed my lunch when I went.  It was rough, but I made it and am proud of myself for surviving it!  Now that I am off it, I am afraid to eat.  I lost 8.5 pounds in 11 days, 19 inches.  Pretty amazing huh?  But now, the question is, will I gain that all back.  I have tried just about every diet out there, and am finding that there is no such thing as a "miracle diet".  It is going to take work to lose weight, I think I am coming to the realization that the only way to lose weight is to do it the right way. You know, the way that we all hate.  Eat right and exercise. Sounds easy, but it takes forever.  It's hard to stick with something when you only lose 1-2 pounds a week.  But the truth is, if you do it this way, you will lose weight and keep it off.  I think the Isagenix 11 day program, is great for cleansing. For cleaning your body of all the crap we put in our bodies.  It is also a great way to flood your body with all the vitamins, nutrients and minerals that we deprive ourselves of.  I'm not so sure if it is "great" for weight loss.  Saturday and Sunday were my first 2 days off the diet.  On Saturday, I had my son's first birthday party.  We had a cookout, so hamburger, hotdogs, baked beans, pasta salads, the works!  Surprisingly, I did very well.  I started my morning with a bowl of Special K and lowfat milk, at the party I only ate one hotdog, some baked beans and some pasta salad.  I could hardly finish what was on my plate!  Probably because my stomach had shrunk so much. I only drank water and I didn't even have any cake!  After the party ended, I had another hotdog and for dinner later that night, I had a half of hamburger.  I normally would have eaten way more than that!  And honestly, for a whole day, I don't think that was too much food.  On Sunday I had 2 scrambled eggs, lunch was a leftover hotdog (should be good on those for a while! LOL!) and dinner was a trio meal from Noodles and Company-the calories for that was 630.  Even though I didn't count my calories for the weekend, I think I stayed within my range of 1350, if not I wasn't much over.  Well, I couldn't help but weigh myself this morning to see if the weight actually stayed off.  I went from 159.5 to 165!!  That's a 5.5 lb gain in 2 days!!  I weighed myself twice, I didn't even believe the scale!  I felt so defeated and so depressed all over again!  I know they say not to put so much thought in what the scale says and more on how you feel.  But my goodness, 5.5 lbs after I practically starved myself for 11 days?  Then I realized, well that's it!  I was probably eating less than 1200 calories (which is a big no no) for 11 days. So when I finally started eating normal again, my body probably stored everything as fat in fear that I would be starving it again in the near future.  I feel so depressed, like I put myself through hell for nothing.  And then I feel awful, like I can't do this anymore. I can't keep getting myself all excited one day and super depressed the next.  It's just too much emotionally.  Sorry that you asked a simple question and it turned into a novel.  I am really bummed out about this.  I am too embarrassed to talk to people about it.  So it was nice to get this off my chest.  I may bring this up in the chat forum and see if anyone else has experienced this after a cleansing diet. I am going to weigh myself again tomorrow to see if this morning's weigh in is accurate.

Oh!  I forgot to post my weigh-in!

Starting weight: 178  (I am 5'2")

Last week: 168

This week: 163

I lost 5 pounds!  43 pounds until I reach my goal weight!  I am doing an 11 day cleansing diet, I am on day 9.  This is why I have been able to lose 5 pounds in a week.  It has been extremely hard, especially over labor day weekend.  I am happy that I stuck to it and will be even happier when I complete the 11 days.  After that it's back to counting calories!  I can finally say that I have lost 15 pounds!  It's exciting.

You're welcome Rosasj!  Good idea to wait until baby #1 is out of of diapers! LOL!  My husband and I have put so much thought into baby #2, it's crazy!  I don't want them too far apart in age, but I know that I want to lose weight before I get pregnant again and that is going to take time!  We have finally decided that we are going to wait until next summer to start trying.  This is sad, but I am in 2 weddings next summer and that is what made us finally decide.  Sucks to plan my life around everyone else's, but it just makes sense.  I have been a bridesmaid in 2 weddings already and it takes a lot out of you!  I'll be helping with showers and bachelorette parties, and then of course, dress shopping.  I don't want to be huge and overly tired through it all.  And I'm definitely not ready to have another baby right now!  So we figure if we start trying at the beginning of summer, our kids will be 2 1/2 to 3 years apart.  Hopefully they will still play well together! LOL!  Plus this way I'll be able to enjoy just my son (Larry).  He is such a Momma's boy (which I absolutely love!), he has a hard time just sharing me with his daddy! LOL!   That's so awesome that you have lost 25 lbs, I bet you feel great!  I gained 40 lbs with my pregnancy, lost 32 of it in the first 2 months after having him.  My son was 10 lbs 2 oz (I know: HUGE! I had a C section thankfully!) so that was part of it, and then I breast fed which I think helped a ton.  The problem is, I was over weight before I even got pregnant.   Since I joined CC I have lost 15 lbs.  I feel better, but still not great.   Congrats again on your success!  I know how hard it is, so I am proud of you!  Your baby is only going to be 5 months old, you are doing amazing!

Lauren, I am so proud of you for losing 10 pounds!  That is amazing!  It broke my heart when I read your post about them stupid boys on your bus.  I am so sorry that happened to you.  Kids can be so cruel.  They have no idea what you are going through and obviously no concern for your feelings.  Try not to let that get you down.  Use it as fuel to reach your weight loss goal! 

Jess, Congrats on your success as well!!  I was just reading your profile,  you looked absolutely beautiful for your wedding!  I am also a new Mom, well, my son is almost a year old now.  Anyways,  I am also wanting to lose weight and get back in shape before child number 2!  I figure if that can't motivate me, then what will?  Have you and your husband talked about when?  It's crazy, once you have the first one there's all this planning like how far apart in age do you want your children.  I just love being a Mom!  Can't wait to do it all again.  Wish this weight would just disappear!  LOL!

So I didn't lose any weight this week, but am honestly just thankful that I didn't gain.  I am trying something new this week, it's a cleansing diet.  I know it goes against CC but I just need a jump start and honestly think that it will be really good for my body.  Lots of nutrients and vitamins that I'm sure my body is in dier need of.  Also, I am having a hard time giving up fried foods and fast food.  I am hoping that once I accomplish this I will have enough willpower and respect for my body to give that crap up!  I am on the cleansing diet for 11 days.  Today is day one.

I have lost 2.5 lbs this week, 10 lbs total.  I have 48 lbs left to lose in order to reach my goal weight of 120 lbs.  I am feeling good about what I have accomplished, but am also frustrated.  I am doing well for the most part, weekends are really tough for me.  It's hard to count calories when you eat away from home.  I would like to lose the weight a lot faster.  I need to realize that I didn't gain this weight over night so I am not going to lose it over night either.

Hi Lauren!  Welcome to the group!  When I read your post I was like wow, that is me all the way!  LOL!  I am 24 and already have a son, he will be a year old on September 11th.  Being a Mom is the most incredible thing I have ever experience.  I can't wait to have another baby, though I am going to wait!  My son is still young and I, like you, will not get pregnant at this weight!  I am actually back to my pre-pregnancy weight, 170 lbs.  I am only 5'2", so I was heavy when I got pregnant.  I have always struggled with my weight, and was trying to lose weight when I got pregant.  My husband and I were so excited to start our family, I just didn't wait until I lost the weight.  I gained 40 lbs with my son, I was up to 210 at 5'2".  I was HUGE.  I had a great pregnancy and enjoyed it completely.  In fact, I LOVED being pregnant.  It was the first time in my life that it was okay to let my belly hang out! LOL!  But most of all, it was just amazing to have a life growing inside of you.  I lost 30 pounds withing 2 months of having the baby, I think a lot had to do with breast feeding.  Anyways,  I know that I have to lose weight before I get pregnant again.  I just won't be okay with myself.  Sounds weird, I was heavy the first time I got pregnant.  But it's hard to explain, having a baby completely changes your body.  Before I joind CC, I was 178 lbs.  At that time, my husband who is 6'2", was only 5 pounds heavier than me!!  I HATED that.  It was awful and it was embarrassing to me.  It still is, but I have lost 7.5 pounds and am now 12.5 lbs lighter than my husband!  I wanted to let you know that I can relate to what you are going through.  Good Luck with your weight loss!  We can get through this!

Well it's Wednesday, but here is my Tuesday weigh in! LOL!  Better late than never!

I have gained a pound.  I feel miserable.  I have been doing awful and am very lucky that I haven't gained more than just a pound.  My goal weight is 120, I have 50.5 pounds to go.  I am so depressed with myself.  I don't know why it is so hard for me to stick with a diet and exercise program.  I am struggling big time!  I am so unhappy with my weight and I am the only one who can change it.  Hopefully I will do better this week.

It is so sad that we are all so young and have to suffer so badly with this weight loss struggle.  Bri, I definitely agree with you that we need to communicate more.  We need to be eachother's motivation.  And Amelia, I know exactly what you mean!  Every time I go out with friends, or family for that matter, there is unhealthy food involved.   Just like last night, my in-laws called us and invited us to go out for icecream!  What do I say, NO, I can't go-I'm on a diet? So I went, and I got Icecream.  It is so hard. Sure I could have gone and not ordered anything, but man, that really sucks. 

I did really well with my diet last week.  But this week I am struggling.  I feel defeated.  I haven't worked out at all this week and today is already Thursday.  Usually, I work out 3 times a week (Mon, Wed, Fri) at Contours (it's circuit training for women only, similar to curves only you use real weight machines and not the hydraulic machines), and then jog on Tuesday and Thursdays.  I go to Contours on my lunch break at work.  I have it worked out so that I can take an hour and a half lunch. I go back to work looking rough, but it's just too hard for me to work out after work.  I already have a hard enough time being away from my 10 month old son all work day.  Then on Tues and Thurs I jog before work.  Well this week due to staffing, I only get a 30 min lunch which isn't enough time to go to Contours. Since I'm not going to Contours I haven't been jogging either.  Funny how that works.  I don't get it, I am either all or nothing. There is no in between for me.

Well, I never posted my stats last week.  This is really sad, but I don't have a computer at home.  Work has been too busy for me to do anything personal.  I did horrible the week before last and ate what I wanted, when I wanted.  The bad news is, I didn't lose any weight. But the good news is that I didn't gain any either. I am really excited for tomorrows weigh in.  I feel I did pretty well last week.  The weekends are seriously SO hard for me.  Why does life revolve so much around food?  It doesn't help any that I love to eat either! LOL!  I went to 2 cookouts over the weekend and also had chinese take out last night.  I didn't over eat, just didn't make the best decision as to what I was eating.  I am hoping that tomorrow there will still be a "loss" despite my poor decisions over the weekend.  I feel good about things.  Mostly because for the first time in my life I am realizing that I must be patient.  That I am not going to lose 50 pounds over night.  I am starting fresh today, unlike my usual attitude of "well I blew it yesterday so I might as well indulge today too!".  Hope everyone survived the weekend, good luck with tomorrows weigh in!

Biggest Motivation:  I am doing this because I am not happy with my appearance. I just want to be comfortable with myself.  I have gone shopping a million times in the past couple of months to find clothes that fit me and have left the store every time with nothing.  What is the point of buying new clothes if you don't like the way you look in them?  I DREAD getting dressed for work in the morning, I am so depressed with my weight.  I am happily married and we have a 10 month old son.  Life is great except for my weight issue.  Another HUGE motivation for me, is that I want to lose weight before we start trying for a second child. Sounds silly, I know.  But having a baby has completely changed my body and I just can't imagine being pregnant again on top of all the weight I am already carrying!
