Of course surgery of any kind has risks. But, the risk is minimal for this operation if you are in good health and carefully choose your doctor, staff and surgery facility. Thousands are performed every year with high rates of success. It's true, implants only last approximately 10+ years before the sides of the implant develop small holes and the contents eventually leak out. At this point, they need to be replaced. If you get them now, you will have to think about budgeting for the future decades. BTW, when you are geriatric, you will typically remove them. How's that for thinking ahead! Anyway, a good surgeon will explain all this to you in the consultation. Then you can make your informed decision. With all this information (plus researching all the problems), I still decided for the implants and the future responsibility for maintaining them and my health. No problems and no regrets.

Did it at 37 after breastfeeding two kids as well. Never regretted it. I would just wait until your done having kids before doing it. |

| Weight Loss | What to eat the day after a Binge??? | Nov 12 2008 22:01 (UTC) |

It seems to me that you should never "force" yourself to eat if you are bloated with food. That could just make you sick. Why not give your body a chance to recover if you have a slip. Of course, this doesn't mean that you should go into a fast-binge cycle or severely restrict your calories when you do resume your diet. I think the wisest route for health and long-term weight loss is summed up in the word 'balance'. Avoid reaching extreme conclusions, for example: "I just binged, therefore I will starve myself." A better conclusion: "I ate more than I needed, I will eat more healthful next time I am hungry". In general, you need to make sure to eat enough healthful food in order to prevent binges in the first place. And, try to really listen and pay attention to what your body needs. Take Care.

Don't beat yourself up because that might make you want to eat more. Unfortunately, I have done the same thing... Typically, it was out of boredom. Here's 2 ideas that work for me: 1) Distract yourself with something else (take a walk, do a service project, help a client, etc)
