Weight Loss 5-10 pounds to go and stuck!!! Join me to lose the last few pounds! May 17 2007

I'm 10 away from being happy with my weight.  I've been told by my doctor that I have to do 30 min a day of cardio for my heart so that keeps me motivated to go to the gym.  Once I get there, I actually enjoy working out.  I've lost 8 lbs. so far but I've decided not to focus on how much i've lost but have mentally prepared myself as if i'm just starting out (hope that makes sense LOL) so it's 10 to go by July 26 (my b/d).  Whenver I see the commercials that tell us that they lost 10 pounds in 10 days I want to throw something at the television.  What did they do? Cut their heads off?   Maybe I should donate a few organs that I don't need LOL

Dragged my butt to the gym this morning.  Did 30 min on the elliptical, my i pod keeps me going.  I was pretty sweaty when done.  Then I worked my lower body on the machines.  After all that I still had to do laundry, wash the floor, vaccum!  I must have burned off another ten calories (one whole peanut).  Weight is slow to come off.........oh well...not giving up.

Yes, join the gym!  Remember that a gym is only good if you use it.
I love going to the gym.  I know that i've done something good for myself.  It motivates me to see others working out.  I'll see someone who has the type of body that I am striving for and figure that if she can do it then so can I.
If I'm feeling low, I force myself to go, and inevitably I leave the gym feeling better.

It's money well spent.

Hi Everyone;  I cringe every time I step on the scale and this morning was no different.  I put one toe on and lightly add the rest of my naked body.  No difference, still at 155 yuck.  Went to the gym and did 1 hour of cardio and about 20 minutes of weights.  My reward was an amazing homemade gourmet burger that my husband made for me.
Why is it that when you're trying to loose weight it seems like you've been trying forever?  One week down and i feel like i've been doing this forever!!!!
My goal is 138 and when I get there.....i'm going to get a tummy tuck!  Yes, after wanting one for 20 years LOL (i had twins!) I am going to really reward myself with actually going through with it.  But I have to get down to 138 first......yuck

Etobicoke grl here.  Workout at Bally's on West Mall. Love it when i'm on track.  I'm trying to loose 20 lbs before my b/d July 26.

I think CC is a great tool for keeping on track with calories and exercise.  It's fun and it's motivating.

Good luck to all us T.O. girls!

I didn't watch the rant but don't lower yourself to believe that being fat is OK.  It isn't.  It's bad.   No overweight person is healthy.  Period.

Get motivated to get to your ideal weight and see how wonderful you'll feel.  Then you'll believe me.

Hope you're joking!  Sure you can eat all the calories in one shot......but i can guarantee that you'll sneak in food because you'll be hungry and for sure you'll end up gaining weight.

Count me in!  Two pounds a week is my goal but would love to loose 3 per week.

Age: 53

Height: 5' 6"

Weight 154

Goal:  138

I actually set my goal for July 26 (my birthday).  If I achieve this goal, I'm finding a good plastic surgeon to fix my tummy that was huge during my pregnancy with twins.  I've wanted to have this done for 19 years so I'm really motivated.
