Thanks for all of the help.  I think I will just keep my calories at 1600 and see what happens.  I think if I reduce it, I wont' be getting enough.

Weighed in at 171.4 today, up 0.6 from last week.  I believe it is water, or at least lets hope.

I also need some advice,  we are in the middle of packing up our house and moving and I just don't seem to have the time to fit working out in.  Should I reduce the number of calories I take in right now.

Thanks Kerry, I will definitely give it a try.  I was also thinking that 1300 ish was way too low.  I will stick with 1600 and see where it gets me.

Kerry, I usually go with light activity, since I am running after two kids all day long and I usually work out every day, either walking for an hour or half an hour on the elliptical.  Thanks for your help.

I am in need of some advice... I know that the last 10-15 pounds are the hardest to get off, and I was just wondering if anybody had some tips on how to make it come off faster.  I have only lost 4 pounds in eight weeks.  I know I have not been as strict with my eating as I should.  Any advice would be great!

Not sure if this helps, but my stats are 29 year old female, 5'7", 171 pounds, currently I am eating about 1600-1800 calories a day and burn 300-500 a day depending on whether I walk or Ellipitical.

Also, when I started this weight loss journey, I had set my goal for August 25, 2007, is this too aggressive?  Is it possible to lose 15 pounds by then?

Thanks, Coby

Just weighed in at 171.0, that is a 0.8 lb loss from last week.  These last 15 lbs are killing me.  Slow and steady right?

Thanks for your help.  I do notice that my jeans are fitting better.  Last week I was able to wear a pair that I had bought too small.  I know that I am loosing inches, I guess I  am just too obsessed with the number on the scale.

I just started zig zagging about two weeks ago.  Before that I was just eating 1700 calories a day then plateaued out.

Another question, how often do you generally plateau.  For me I plateaued after loosing 20 pounds and now after another 8.

Thanks for the help.

Sorry about that ... I am a 29 year old female, 172 ish, 5'7".  I average about 1700 calories a day, but zig zag it so I eat less some days and more on others.  I burn about 500 calories a day on the elliptical.

Had a bad day yesterday!  My daughter wanted to make cookies and had girl's night out where I swore I would only eat half a dessert and make it home in time to work out.  Well, my plan did not pan out.  We each ordered an appetizer and then shared and still had half a dessert and did not make it home until midnight, at which point I really did not want to work out.  Hopefully next week will be better.

I was up today, 174.0.  There was a lot of sodium in the food I ate last night.

Can someone help me.... I have a goal to be at 150 pounds by the end of August, is this a reasonable goal or not?

Hi I'm 5'7" and I weigh about 172 right now (started at 200) and my goal is 150.  I haven't been that weight since I got married six years ago (had two kids which did a number on my body)and I like the way I look in my wedding pictures.

Hi Team!!! Can some one give me some advice?? On Wednesday I was soooo excited because I thought I had broke through my month long plateau.... i weighed in at 172.8 and today I am back up to 174.  What is up with that?  I have been very good this week.  I just started to zig-zag my calories and I have been drinking tonnes of water, a lot more than my normal 64 oz a day.  Please help, I am getting very discouraged.  I feel like I have been at the same weight forever, it just does not seem to want to come off.

Weight Loss zigzagging May 09 2007

Just a quick question about zigzagging.  I am trying that now and was wondering if this looks right.  C-C says I should eat about 1700 calories a day to loose and with zigzagging one day I go down to 1400 and another I go up to 2051, seems like not enough on one day and too much on the other.  Does this seem right?

Day 1 - 1709

Day 2 - 1709

Day 3 - 1400

Day 4 - 2051

Day 5 - 1709

Day 6 - 1538

Day 7 - 1880
