| Foods | Any Super Picky Eaters/People with lots of food issues out there? | Jul 12 2007 02:31 (UTC) |

| Goodness, I'm incredibly picky. I hate eating out, or anywhere that I
can't prepare my own food because it almost gives me a panic attack. I
like the control of it. I like foods seperate; I don't like things prepared like lasagna or pot pie or anything where all the ingredients are all mixed together. I like to have everything seperate, and plain. No sauces, salt, anything. It's somewhat ridiculous. It most likely ties very strongly into my eating disorder. |

| Foods | How do you like your cottage cheese? | Jul 11 2007 18:24 (UTC) |

| Fat-free is my choice. I don't care for it with fruit, but when I'm at school I have it with my salads (I don't use dressing). I load it with black pepper and eat it with my veggies. De-lish! | |||

| I use salsa or cottage cheese. Or (current favorite) I whisk together spicy mustard, a little but of honey, and some distilled white vinegar. Soo good. |

| Weight Loss | eating slower. | Jun 24 2007 12:26 (UTC) |

| Growing up in my house, it was eat fast or miss out. It's engrained in my mind to eat a full plate in under 10 minutes... I'm working on it. When I actually think about it, I do get full on less food. Could be that I eat mainly raw veggies and drink tons of water, though, which is pretty filling. |

| Weight Loss | holy crap.. I snack A LOT! | Jun 24 2007 12:17 (UTC) |

| I do the same thing. In summer, I'm on the go so much that the only real meal I eat is breakfast. The rest are snacks by other people's standards. As long as you're fueling your body, I'd say you're alright. |

| Uhh, any diet that forbids me to eat ANYTHING, even in moderation, goes out the window. That's just my opinion, though. |

| Foods | Is sucralose (splenda) bad for you? | Jun 21 2007 12:11 (UTC) |

| I refuse to eat Splenda, aspartame, or any artificial sweetener, for that matter. It's all completely man made, which grosses me out. Plus, makes me sick as a dog after having just a tiny amount. I prefer natural flavors, but whatever works for you! |

| Same temp here, but I never miss a day of running. I can't, I love it too much. There's no such thing as "too hot" for me. |

| I agree completely. As someone constantly battling Anorexia, I definitely feel that my disorder is fed by the hollywood body type. It irks me that there's such a stigma for being an overweight star, but being dangerously thin is ok. Where's the Celebrity Fit Club for the morbidly thin?! |

| Weight Loss | Daily expenditure exaggeration? | Jun 19 2007 21:35 (UTC) |
|
| Hmm, thanks for all the responses. I'm still not sure- I feel like if I eat that much, I'll definitely gain weight. I'm [working on] overcoming anorexia, so that's why I'm quite small. I've gained about 10 or so pounds, but the weight seems to have stopped. I like where I am, so I don't really want to eat more. I don't know if I could fit any more food into the day as it is. My favorite snacks are raw veggies, which I eat most, so I guess that would lower my calories taken in. Hmm. I'm still not sure how it is that I burn that much, so I guess I'll have to do some more research. Thanks! |

| Weight Loss | Eating before 2 PM | Jun 18 2007 12:34 (UTC) |

| laura_loo took the words right out of my mouth. Err... right off of my keyboard... Your friend probably means that you do ALL of your eating before 2. Now, lets say you eat breakfast at 7 in the morning-your body will be using up all those calories, without getting any more, from 2 until 7 the next morning. Not a good idea; modified starvation, if you ask me. |

| Weight Loss | Biggest weakness...cereal! | Jun 15 2007 18:58 (UTC) |

| It's probably unhealthy how much I love cereal. During semester, I eat it for breakfast and two snacks a day. Sometimes all three meals a day. I like to mix Barbara's Bakery Organic Grain Shop with the Honey Toasted-O's of the same brand. Soo good. I also really, really, really love Special K Red Berries, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and Raisin Bran. Eeek! I try to limit myself, but it's so crunchy and delicious. |

| Healthify your recipes with things like egg whites, applesauce, whole wheat flour, and dried fruits. Also, give most of them away right after you make them--you'll feel good for being kind and for getting them away from you. Then, wrap up the ones you keep and put them where you can't see them, like in the cupboard. Only have one a day, and keep busy to prevent yourself from eating them! A little bit of will power goes a long way. | |||

| Weight Loss | OK ... for all you people who eat less than 1200 calories a day... YOU ARE WRONG | Jun 14 2007 02:25 (UTC) |

| I eat when I'm hungry, and stop when I'm not. I don't count calories, though I'm sure I rarely reach the 1200 mark. I run 4 miles a day, work out for an hour, and ride my bike to two jobs at which I'm on my feet all day. That's just the way I function. |

| It's personality, trust me. At least for the guys that are worth it. I'm 5'7" and 107 lbs, and very much single. I'm ridiculously introverted and disassociative, so obviously my social life is less than exciting. I say don't change yourself to be loved. Someone who loves you for you is out there, and they're worth the wait. |

| I have the same darn problem, and it's so frustrating. I'm a vegetarian in the strictest sense, and I don't really eat any junk food. Everything I eat is fruit, vegetable, whole grain, etc, and supposedly loaded with fiber, and I still can't go more than once or so a week. I tried Senna tea, which was supposed to help, and didn't. Finally my doctor just told me to take a light woman's laxative, because I was really starting to get sick. They worked a bit. My advice would be talk to a professional. |

| Glenny's or Genisoy soy chips. Preferably Glenny's. The barbeque and apple cinnamon flavors are to die for, and 20 crisps is only 110 cals. High protein, to boot! |

| Egg white omelet does it for me. I steam a handful of spinach, mic one sliced mushroom (to cook it a bit), cook the whites, top with the veggies, fold, and eat with a mandarin orange and some steamed carrots or some wheat toast. Delicious, filling, healthy. What could be better? |
