Hey guys,

Here I am. Late on the posting again. Sorry about that. Things at work have finally slowed down so I actually have some time to breathe again. Whew!

It looks like everyone is LOOSING I love it. Keep up the great work. There are stalls being broken and some new joins. I am so happy that the thread is active. I am sure that we can keep this way despite the fact that I have to close it. At this point the goal of a 30lb loss by January is not a healthy one if you haven't already started. We have to think of our health first. THat is the whole point, right?

I am down to 149. 3lbs loss so far and I am ecstatic. As long as the scale keeps goin down I am happy. I haven't seen the 140s in months and this thread is such a pivotal point for my sucess. Thanks guys and lets keep it going!!

Hey guys,

I have honestly been trying to send this post for TWO DAYS!! Finally got it together here. Work has been pretty hectic this week..excuses, excuses.

Well I am down 1lb...which I was ecstatic over. For my first week in the gym the scale was moving UP and NOT down. I don't care how much people tell you that that is normal..it just plain sucks :P But I was patient and kept going to the gym knowing there is no way this could continue and finally progress. Whew!

So I am at 151..hope fully by our next weigh-in on October 3rd I'll be in the 140s again.

Also wanted to mention that working out has been the only thing that has kept me going with the crazy week and all the deadlines coming up at work. I feel great when I wake up in the morning and am ready to go again. I skipped a day and was really sluggish. If you can't get to the gym, go for walk or do some crunches while watching TV. ANYTHING!!!

Have a great day!!

Good Morning Guys,

All i can say is WOW! I new I would get a response or two but 27 in two days is awesome. I am really excited about loosing this weight with you guys. Like many of you i have been through this before but I needed others going through the same thing to keep on track.

I have read all the new posts and there seems to be some discouragement due to the fact that the final stretch of this challenge runs into a dieters "FAVORITE" time of the year. I personally think the timimng is perfect because when else are you going to need help and encouragement more to stay on track and watch what you eat???? When we get closer to the holidays lets all make a point to talk more about great holiday choices that won't throw two months of hard work and discipline out the window. Just think of how proud of yourself you will be to 'stick to it' when the 'holliday food fest' is over.

I know I'm disgustingly optimistic, sorry. ;P

I also wanted to know what you guys thought of weigh ins. I read somewhere that you should try to stay away from the scale for two weeks at a time. The fluctuations can be discouraging and harmful to your routine. The best gauge really is how "those jeans' fit. You know the ones I am talking about. So lets say we will have weigh ins every 1st and third wednesday of the month. Making our first the 19th of this month.

Have a great day and remember to make great choices.

Good morning all. I am new to the forums. I am at 152..the biggest I have ever been and I just got that  number this morning. I have been working out for a week and my weight then was 150. After reading posts I think I am not eating enough and cold probably use a little more cardio. Oh well....it takes time right?

Well I am off to the gym after breakfast and I look forward to chatting with all of you.

My goal for the day:

1) Going to a fair.....to drink plenty of water and only eat half of the funnel cake.

2)40 minutes on the elliptical.

Enjoy your day
