Hey Everybody! Long time no see. Cool

This summer was not as productive for me as last year. As a matter of fact, I think I gained about 20 pounds back. I guess I left the group a little too soon. Now, with winter fast approaching,  I guess I better get back on the ball.

Well, I did do one good thing at least ... I just bought an exercise bike. Now I just have to get back in the habit of countin' those calories. It's good to see you all are still here just in case I need help with my arithmetic Laughing

Hey to all who remember me and HOWDY to all those who have joined since I was last here.

It has been 53 days since my last confession Surprised 

I gained back 11 lbs. since I was last here ... but I haven't given up! Just takin' a little diet vacation Cool 

I knew winter would get the best of me and maybe I gave into it a little too easily ... but Spring is just around the corner and with just 34 pounds left to reach my goal I am completely optimistic that I will succeed. After that, I have set a 10 pound gain tollerence level for myself. As long as I stay within that, I should be ok. In the past, my theory has been to diet down to 145 pounds, eat my way back up to 225, and then diet back down to 145 again. NOT a good thing, I know.

Does anybody have any ideas or comments on keeping weight off once it has been lost?

Well, I wanted to feel disgusting so I would want to get back on my diet ... and disgusting is just exactly how I feel.Yell Also, my little holiday binge has left me a Christmas present ... I gained 8 pounds. Undecided I'm sure a good part of it must be water but 8 pounds is 8 pounds so no excuses.

I've got 4 cookies, 5 Hersey kisses, a half a bag of chips, and about a 1/4 of a cup of onion dip left in the house ... after that, it's time to pay the piper!!! I'm pretty disappointed in my lack of self control but hopefully I have learned something from this.

Merry Christmas Everybody!!!!

I have been totally out of control this past week ... AND LOVING IT!!!!  Laughing I even had fudge for breakfast this morning Surprised. I am hoping that I can eat enough junk in the next 2 days to make me feel disgusting and WANT to get back on my diet. Innocent

In answer to your question rockinmama ... I have lost 57 pounds so far. I only have 23 pounds to go but I have a feeling it might take me a while to get there for 2 reasons that, by the way, were NOT on the "List of Excuses". One being that the cold weather and abundant snow will inevitably keep me inside and much less active. The other is that Christmas is coming and I intend to celebrate and eat whatever the hell I feel like eating Tongue out!!! (Not a good example for my fellow CC members so make believe you didn't hear me say that Sealed)

There is a positive side to my misbehaving, though ... I find myself analyzing the reasons why I'm eating the things I eat. In the long run, I hope that might help with changing my eating habits for good. Innocent

Hey Everybody. Sorry I haven't been around ... I have no excuse Embarassed.

I've been stuck at 167/168 for a very long time now. Of course it's probably because I've been eating too much ... or not getting any exercise ... or BOTH! I knew that would happen when the snow came.

It's no mystery, though ... I know what needs to be done. Now all I have to worry about is actually DOING IT!!!  Yell

Hey val, I reported the linking problem to CCPlus and you wouldn't believe what I went through. First email: I reported the problem. Second email: They told me to send them the page #, post #, link address, etc. Third email: They said they got my information but forgot what it was I was trying to tell them. Fourth email: They wrote back and said that the link I sent them didn't work ... DUUUUHHHHH!!! Fifth email: I sent them the whole scenario, from beginning to end, one more time, with a note that said, "Here, I'll try this one more time and then I give up". I haven't heard anything from them since.

Do you feed your day-lilies vk? Try using "Osmocote". Also, if you have time, pick off the spent blooms. I make my rounds everyday. I have a lot of them and they are spread all over the yard so I make the trip part of my exercise. You're in Chicago, right? So I guess the season is pretty much over for them but feed them anyway. Also, after you cut them down in the fall, cover them with some mulch.

Great idea, by the way, with your new pic mabear. When you reach your goal you should have the whole sequence of photos animated. Then you can watch those pounds drop off like magic. I wish I had thought of it.

I got a real kick today. I tried on my old size 14 jeans ... and ... THEY FIT! Well, I did have to lay down on the bed to zip them up and I did hang over the top a little ... but I got them on and that's good enough for me. I guess 5 more pounds or so and I should be able to wear them. Then I can pack away all my elastic waistbands ... Yipppeeeee!!!

Good morning!!!

Today is weigh-in day for me. And yeahhhhh ... down 1 1/2 pounds to 173 Laughing

Total lost = 52   Total left to lose = 28

By the way, I am in awe of those of you who can drink all that water. I hate plain water. It makes me gag. As a matter of fact, I don't drink very much at all. I know I should ... and I try to. But it's a bad habit that I can't seem to break. I do drink Crystal-lite iced tea ... but not nearly enough of it. Does anyone else have this problem?

Just take it one day at a time floresita. You need to keep going forward in order to be able to look back at your progress. Laughing

Sorry blj. The linking system on the new ccplus really stinks. I tested it when I put it on and it worked. But when I tried again just now, it didn't. Just go to my journal and look at the entry for today. That's where it is.

After yesterday's weight increase, this morning I demanded a re-count! And what do you know ... I dropped the pound and a half I gained plus another pound and a half.  Yesterday I was 177.5 and today I am 174.5 ... go figure.  Perhaps it was only water. Yesterday I went out and worked in the yard, in 90 degree heat, for 12 hours and sweat my butt off! Or perhaps it was just a pesky little spike. Or maybe, just maybe, it was the POOF of Val's magic wand! But whatever it was ... I'll take it Wink

Well, I guess I enjoyed my Labor Day weekend camping trip just a little too much. Damn cheeseburgers! So for the first time, in a very long time, I regret to report that I am up 1 1/2 lbs. from 176 to 177.5 Frown. But I suppose it wasn't just the cheeseburgers. It has taken me all week to get back on track. Of course the day isn't over yet so I'll have to wait and see if I am really back on track or not. But even if I make it though today, tomorrow may not go so well because I have to go to a CLAMBAKE Surprised!!! Hey Val ... hit me again with that magic wand, will yaInnocent.

I miss you guys too, bqueen! I've been away much too long. And I have a feeling that the best way to get back on track (and stay there) would be to get on here more often. You guys helped me get this far ... hope you don't mind if I lean on you a little for rest of the trip.

I used to slouch too. Ever since I was a teenager. I was always very self conscious about it. Then I started going to a chiropractor and it went away.

I don't usually post my weight when I sneak a peek at the scale in between weigh-ins. But I just couldn't resist today. It's probably just a downward spike but I'll take it anyway I can get it. Drum-roll please ....... 179 !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even though I am still losing weight, lately I've been struggling with the dreaded late-night snack demon Yell. I've always allowed myself two 100 calorie snacks in the evening, but lately I have been wanting (and having) more. I worry about slipping back into old habits. I guess those demons never really leave us.
