Thanks, nomoreexcuses...

They are a scapegoat..  I don't care what anyone says, if you don't realize that this illegal immigration issue is brought up every few years during political disasters, then you're not paying close enough attention.

Yes, I was wrong to say that everyone who is against illegal immigration is racist.  However, a large majority of them are racist.

OK... Heather keeps talking about breaking laws and crap.. Raise your hand if you break at least one law a day???

***Raises hand***

I speed, I jaywalk, I underage drank, I bought cigarettes for minors, I bought alcohol for minors.....

Anyone else break any laws lately?

heather-- I think you're just racist..

IMMIGRATION IS A SCAPEGOAT..

This administration is using immigration as a scapegoat to take the spotlight off what they're fucking up in the whitehouse and around the world.

I honestly think a lot of this has to do with racism.  As unpopular as that opinion will be, that's where a lot of this comes from.

heather-- Yeah, I agree that it's good enough for them to come risk their lives.  But, coming from where they come from, pretty much anywhere is better.

Well... We need change in America.. How come we're not making it??  It's easier said than done, especially when our government is as corrupt as it is as well as their governments.

Well, is that the illegal immigrants fault or the government/employers fault?

You can't blame them for wanting a better life... You have to blame employers and the government for attracting them and letting it happen.

hgielrehtaer-  I don't want to start an argument here.

But, would you get on your hands and knees for 8+ hours a day to pick berries or whatever even if the wage was, let's say $10/hr???  I really don't think many Americans would do it.

Here we are at our desk jobs making whatever we make, getting fat and lazy...

S.O.B   I knew this topic was eventually going to come up..

I don't see a problem with immigration and illegal immigration, because....

1.  We were all immigrants at one time.. Unless you are 100% American Indian, someone in your family was an immigrant at one point or another.

2.  WHO DO AMERICANS THINK THEY ARE???  Americans can go wherever they want in the world and act like they own the place.. Yet, we can't let people in this country who just want to work and make a better life for themselves?

3.  IF YOU WERE IN THEIR SHOES YOU'D DO IT TO..  If your country didn't have crap for opportunities and it was a struggle to get food on the table and you busted your ass all week to earn pennies on our dollar, you'd come here to.  Don't pretend that you wouldn't.

Illegal and legal immigrants pay taxes (yeah, they can cheat the system because they are illegal and get more back on taxes.  If there were some way to track them, then they couldn't get away with it).

They also support local businesses by buying our products and services.

They also do a lot of jobs that many Americans, including myself, are TOO FAT AND LAZY to do.

I'm hungover and feel like shit.

It reaks like cigarettes in my work because my boss sits at his desk smoking one after another (Yeah, i'm a smoker too, and if it bothers me than it's pretty bad).

I'm sunburnt and uncomfortable.

I've gotta go to some stupid family reunion this weekend and my family hasn't seen me since I put on 40-50 lbs.  They're the type to tell you about it, too.

Agreed with everyone.

How about the people who feel the need to cause a scene in public?  THe guy who always has to yell at the waitress or cashier just to make a frickin' scene.  Get over yourself, asshole.

I don't really know what to think right now.  I'm gonna give it some time and figure out where to go from here.  I don't want to do this on impulse, like i've done everything else.  It's so hard, though.

someday-i-will --  Yeah, i'm from La Crosse.  I think i've been through Waukesha before.  We do get a lot of dirty looks here, but, the more it happens, the more I figure it's their problem.  I'd like to move to Milwaukee or Madison some day.  I assume it's better as far as looks go where you're from?   Where did you meet your hubby?

enoch--- I think you've got some issues with your masculinity, like a lot of men who dont support ANY women president have.  I don't appreciate your feminist comments.  If guys like you would just swallow their pride and try having a woman president for a while, maybe they'd like it.  I don't care if it's HIllary or not, we have to at least try it because we're taking steps back rather than forward.

Yep.  You've got an issue with women in general, not just Hillary.

Sorry to hear that.
The Lounge Hillary Clinton Jul 02 2007

Well, I would vote for Hillary for many reasons.

First of all, it's time we at least tried a woman president.  I know a lot of men disagree, but I think that's because of their egos.

Also, I think things were run rather well when Bill was in office, and, reflecting on our situation at hand.. Bush makes Hillary look like a political genius.

She wants to end the war, and wants to focus more on domestic issues.

I don't care who wins as long as it's not another republican.  Gimme a break, they're debating evolution and things that really shouldn't be at the forefront of a presidential debate.  They're mainly doing it for entertainment, if you ask me.  Trying to win people over with religion instead of issues...It's ridiculous.

Thank you very much for your responses... I'm pretty good at being impulsive, so I'm going to give it a little time before I decide what to do..

This is why I am/used to be commitment-phobic...

Hi there!!  What it sounds like to me is you need confidence. I'm not going to tell you how to make friends or where to go.  But, as soon as you feel better about yourself, people will be more responsive.  You just need to do something that makes you feel good about you.  That's the first step, in my opinion.

Good luck, you can do it.

That's very disrespectful... If he's going to look, the least he could do would be make it as non-chalant as possible.  That's just rude.  What i'd do would be oggle all the guys there and say oohh and ahh.. See how much he likes that.  I think he'd change his mind pretty quickly.  Maybe that's mean but it's not as bad as him doing that to you.

You're not being uncool.....
