| just a quick message my nets been realy slow so i havn't been able to get on! i wont be on till tuesday (prob) but i will try and get on!! i have cut down my sugar and exercised the same amount, not been to the gym apart from swimming the week just gone as i havn''t had the time or motivation so that starts again next week, and i join it officaly on the 12th so i will be going a lot more when im a offical member..dunno why but it motivates me more if i am signed up lol. You sound like your doing realy well on your exercise and calorie counting, im glad to hear u did the jelly thing lol that was realy sensible!i might nick that idea as its a good one, esp if it filled you up!! i still munch in the evening, so i pop down to sainsburys on my bike on the days i know its going to be 'one of those nights' and grab two packs of fruit mix (not dried, fresh) for 4 pounds and have one of them during the evening, they last and they are good for you! also my snacking at wok has changed, i brought in a shedload of special k bars, dried fruit mixes and calorie counted nuts to eat at around 11 and 2, as they are my danger spots at work. Esp as in the cupbored all we have is biscuits, cakes and cheesebites!! Sorry for abcence, not been able to get on net at home its too slow!! Well done on the walk and swim!! im swimming tonight and biking with my dad after work, after my workride! lol. been doing terrible with calories, ranging from 1300 to 2000! but actity is high! thing is i wont gain weight with that, but i wont lose it as well! any tips on keeping hunger at bay? i can do 1300 on unactive days, even 1000 but on biking/work + gym days i cant stay under 1600! this is my problem. i know im burning tons more, but eating more means the difiict is the same! hope today goes well! and congrats on the w.loss! |

| lol well done for going for your walk! did you power walk? how far? lol did ya go swimming too? what was ur total cal intake for the day?
Okay today i had 1700 cals, but all of it healthy ALTHOUGH again i have to admit 3 mistakes! a slice of cheesecake (workmate b.day) 1 digestive biscuit and During the evening it was yoghurt raisens. But because of this i did the normal 12 mile commute plus 5 min mad dancing, 21 min home bike, 15 min Cross trainer and 1500m on the rowing machine!! So i think i made up for it???? |

| Coolios!! Okay this sounds like we got a good mix here! Okay, hum my aim is under 1400 EVERY day, my Maintaince is about the same as yours (freaky haha) i burn 2487 on the week days i bike, and around 1800 on weekends. i have to admit today i realy didn't start my new lifestyle well, i ate two fairy cakes (tiny ones) and 50g of chocolate which was like 250 cals >< iforgot how it adds up you know? looks so small, that eqates to 11 small blocks. oh, AND 2 biscuits! (due period, i know not a excuse :( ) So i sucked today! but hopefully doing this with you will stop me munching lol i did however do my bike to work and i have a active job (vet nurse assit) I vow to go to the gym 3 times a week AT LEAST and do my bike ride to work, but push myself as hard as i can (its 12 miles at least a day) okay my food summary for the past few days: 1281 -SUNDAY Fat - 28.6% (41 grams) Protein - 20.4% (65 grams) Carbohydrates - 48.1% (154 grams) Alcohol - 0.0% Other - 2.9% Daily Sodium Intake - 901 mg Daily Sugar Intake - 28 grams Daily Cholesterol Intake - 463 mg Daily Saturated Fat Intake - 13 grams Daily Fiber Intake - 11 grams 1704 - MONDAY Fat - 25.4% (46 grams) Protein - 14.0% (57 grams) Carbohydrates - 56.1% (227 grams) Alcohol - 0.0% Other - 4.4% Daily Sodium Intake - 692 mg Daily Sugar Intake - 35 grams Daily Cholesterol Intake - 39 mg Daily Saturated Fat Intake - 13 grams Daily Fiber Intake - 18 grams ----------- Okay, lets check in that we do tour exercise and calories tomorrow night!! Yup!! lets start together! my main goal is funny enough the same! thats 8 stone 9 right? or 56.8KG's ... better in stones and KG's as we are UK lol Yeh my evening snacks are Surgery too! would you rather do it on the forums? i find it easier to find/reply to forum posts. Shall we start on here? Im 22 and 5'4 by the way! If you do decide to do it on here, shall we do a pact to; a daily food dairy (or just end of day calorie count) / calorie goal and stay with our (to be agreed) exercise levels? han x |

| IrishMum I would have thought so too, but when i eat around 1800 etc i dont lose weight
thank you for your replys, i am still confused as too how much to eat. So BigMommah - you recommned eating the same as nonehypos is this correct? May i Enquire as to your daily intake and exercise if i may? thank you ^.^ |

| i try to cut it out of my diet as i eat way to much, sometimes 100g instead of the 30g serving surgested. I just cant have it in my diet anymore and if i do so i only have Oat so simple which is in Measured packs if i REALY need it. And on days were i realy realy fancy some i will have the little Portion controled NESTLE packs of like golden nuggests etc. | |||

| if your not hungry, and you dont want to eat dont
one day of low calories wont hurt you. trust your body on how much you need, not anything else. you will find ur make up for it later in the week naturally by eating 100 or so more cals than normal one day. |

| Amy_Blue might i recommened a cat fountine? they are fantastic for cats who dont like to drink, my cats have one and have started to drink each day they realy do work well! cats love running water hence why the fountines work so good for cats ^.^ | |||

| depending on the brand and how good it is. Wet and Dry are both as good as each other (again, if the brand is good) We recommened dry most of the time, for the sake of cats teeth. But there is a whole list of pros and cons to both types of food, Its Owner prefrence more than anything else! | |||

| before anyone asks, yes i do work at a vets. And i am a nurse though not quilfed (yet!) Id advise HILLS R/D. A prescribtion food from all vets. Or Royal Canine weight control. An Obese cat is not funny, it brings on premature bone ageing, diabetes and also increases the risk of heart problems - its as bad for a cat as it is a human or any other animal. Please take it seriously and stop feeding him so much. What food is he on? i realy recommend Hills R/D, please go to your local vets where they will help you with advice and can sell you the correct pet food. If you cant affored the price tag of perscription food then i recommened this: Hills LIGHT adult cat food. The feeding guidelines are on the back but you MUST remember - you are in control of what he eats, if you dont stick to the recommened food grams he wont lose weight at all. EDIT: Hills prides its self on being extremly palatable and it is avalibe in wet and dry foods. If you have worries of him not eating it, there are may ways to get a cat to eat. Although even if they wont eat it, do not let more tan 2 days go by without the cat eating. |

| inherited Hypothyriod here, and im recommened to be on 1600 to 1700 calories to lose weight. BUT im Losing on 1300 (av a month 1400) after a huge long plateou of over 8 months!! lol exercise has even come down in intensty, but im still losing! I also have S.A.D so depression makes it hard to stay on low calories, but stick with it and it will work! |

| i eat a lot more fruit/veg/soups, i cut back on coffee, dont have any treats. Exercise the same and go to bed early. My B/F had flu (the real, cant get out of bed type not man flu) and by doing this i only got a slight cold. Go by your feelings and do what you think is best! |

| HDL (good cholestrol) is good as it carries cholestrol to the liver where it can be disposed off/ This type of cholestrol can be found in Oats and items with plenty of souble fibre. Also Onions, fruits, olive oil, soya and vegetables are good. | |||

| roughly 1600 and 20g of fat, but i can get enough even if i eat 1300 a day. I always make good food chocies and im confident i dont need to resort to peanut butter to get what i need lol. If it works for others, good for them but i can think of many other ways to get the poly/mono-unsaturated fats and the protein with more vitamins thrown in for less calories than PB. Is all im saying. Im not saying its wrong to get it from PB. |

| get medication on right level. work out. eat 100 less cals than C.C tells you to, and you can lose weight just like everyone else. A underactive thyriod can only hold u back if u let it. So dont. I didn't and im nealy at goal!! went from 157 to 130ish. |

| BREAKFAST!! hardly ever have a big dinner, i dont like to do it that way round. I used to, when i tsoped doing it i started losing weight. BIGG old breakffast (has toped 800 cals before :D but normaly 600), small snacks (200 cals ish) throughout the day, light lunch (400 max) and a ligher, sometimes noneexsistant dinner (aim for under 300). I will stop eating after 7 and then only have drink after that. So av. calories are 1500, i always top out at 1700 thats my max. The days i have more cals is when i have a big dinner and a light breakfast. |
