Thanks... but the flavor of this dressing is so strong that I only have to use 1 tsp of sesame oil/soy sauce and 2-3 tsp of rice vinegar. I don't know how it comes in terms of sodium but I'm sure it's not that much. |

Why is it important to do it on non-lifting days? What if you CAN'T go to the gym every day? |

Thanks for your inputs! I wear a heart rate monitor and I know I burn an average of 650 cals for the whole workout (not just the HIIT)! So I should reverse the order then? You think it'll make a difference even if at the end of the day I burn the same amount of calories? I'm a bit sceptic but at this point I have nothing else to lose than weigh!! |

Thanks everyone! I looked on wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barbell The article talks in great lengths about the olympic barbell, which is 44.1 lbs apparently, and at the end mentions the standard barbell, which is 22 lbs. When I looked in Google image they all looked the same to me! I guess I'm just gonna ask my gym. I hope the barbells are 45 lbs because it would means I squat 90 lbs. Not bad for a beginner |

I read conflicting info on internet. Some says it weighs 20 lbs, other says 45 lbs. What's the difference between an olympic bar and a "regular" one? How do I know which one they have at my gym? |

I read Hitler's Mein Kampf to better understand what happened in the guy's mind and how disturbed he was and... gosh, it took me 6 months to finish it and the only thing I learn was that in addition to be totally nuts, he was the worst writer ever. |

My frustration is my 5'10" 120 pounds friend with whom I just cannot escape food. She eats ALL THE WRONG THINGS, ALL THE TIME! It's quite hard not to eat in her presence. But don't get me wrong, I like her a lot :) |

| Weight Loss | Spin Class? | Jan 19 2009 21:14 (UTC) |

Just to let you know, CC offers many levels of effort. Look at the watts on your bicycle computer if you have one because it is really easy with this exercise to over-estimate the level of effort. Personally, I've been doing spinning for more than 6 months now and I always put 100 watts - light effort because my speed usually varies between 50 to 200 watts in the hour of the class. It's really, really hard to maintain 150-200 watts for a long time even if you feel your effort is moderate or vigorous. |

I sometimes eat cottage cheese as a dessert. With honey, it's delicious!
For breakfast, I like to mix it with an orange, almonds and raisins. And honey, of course! Super filling. |

| Motivation | Lost 5 pounds but now I just don't feel the same "drive" to lose weight? | Oct 22 2008 03:29 (UTC) |

HO. MY. GOD. I could have post that myself, I'm SO in the same situation. I've been dieting for a month and I lost 5 pounds. I feel better but still have at least 20 to go to be really satisfied. However, it seems that this week I'm just like "whatever". I still have to same desire to lose weight, but not the same drive to make the efforts, especially not eating less... Maybe our bodies and minds need a little break before to focus on our goals again? |

| Foods | Is Chinese food seriously that bad?! | Apr 30 2007 11:10 (UTC) |

| You know I'm leaving in Hong Kong right now and I soooo understand what you're talking about... I'm getting Chinese or Cantonese food almost everyday and despite all my good will I always end up eating bad things. Everything is made out of rice or noodles. Yesterday, I wanted to do good and ordered some steamed tofu with vegetables. Well, the bottom of the plate was covered by a kind of omelette, obviously with the yolks. And this morning, I went for dim sums and had like a dozen of them with meat and custard and.... well, I gave up a while ago and I'm not trying to loose weight anymore. Just to maintain... but it's so hard!! I just want to enjoy my time here and take advantage of the good food! So I say: eat Chinese as a treat but take advantage of the fact that you can get healthy choices whenever you want :) | |||

| I understand you. I'm in Hong Kong for 7 months and there's some days I can't even try to log my food as what I ate was too weird (for instance yesterday I went for dim sum. How to log a steamed bun Shanghai style? Or a Chow Chiew style one? I don't even know what's inside! All I know is that it's good!). Same for other ethnic food like indian... | |||

| Thanks workoutaddict, that's useful info!!
Actually, I weight myself tonight by curiosity and I indeed gained 2 pounds! Good thing I went backpacking and walked a lot those 5 days because I'm sure I would have gain a lot more! So I'm now back on track, lowering my cals to 1200 for the next fews days so those 2 pounds will go away (hopefully!) as quickly as they came! |
