| Im really not sure what Id be considered, perhaps more disordered eating then ED, if so let me know. For almost a year now Ive gone through a month of strong restriction (2468 diet mixed with fasting and excessively excercising) followed by a month of binging like crazy. This summer was when it got the worst, 20 lbs in a month, feeling like hell if I got less then an hour- 1 and a half hours of excercise a day and less then 300-500 calories a day. Since then Ive had weeks/months of it being managable during which I gain back all of the weight from restricting and then severe restriction which quiet often was less then 300 calories on those days. Right now Im trying to loose weight healthily and its proving difficult especially since Im in one of my restriction moods and have spent almost to much time today figuring out how to make myself eat the 1300 calories Im aiming for today without feeling like hell. I dont know if I fit in with the group here enough seeing as Ive never been hospitalized or clinically diagnosed but if Im accepted here Id love it. Regardless, dont give up and stay strong against the battle. | |||

| Im rather sure the intake is for calories, correct? If so then its because for every one gram of protein/carb you get four calories, however every gram of fat becomes I believe seven or eight calories. Hope that cleared it up ^.^ | |||

| I would love a buddy! Im currently 16 and 151 lbs. and am aiming for 99 lbs. by late to mid August (Im 5'1 so the low goal weight isnt unreasonable). I love being able to motivate people as long as theyre willing to motivate me as well. Ive been on and off dieting for a couple years now so I know a lot about it, yet Im terrible at staying commited. Send me a message if your interested! | |||

| Delsinmist-
I personally wouldnt count your days from the time you wake up one day to the time you wake up the next day regardless of the hours. For those in a nocturnal lifestyle, how is that soppused to work? Same way as it would/should here. You wake up, you weigh yourself right? Not at the end of the day? Then weigh yourself when you wake and have your calories count for then. Also, it seems like you are awake a lot more hours then a normal person, I really like mommidwifes ideas, eat more calories throughout the day. Look at the time your awake as your day even if it is diffrent hours then others. HOpe that makes sense. Peacelovehominy- You burn calories weather your awake or not, however being active and up doing stuff does burn more calories then just sleeping. However, getting your recomended amoutn of sleep does help burn calories in the same way that muscle helps burn calories. |

| Weight Loss | I lost 17 pounds in 5 weeks. Is it too slow? | Apr 06 2007 01:27 (UTC) |
|
| Dont be afraid of it (although I know its easier said then done), 2 lbs a week is the ideal amount... for you to be loosing 3.5 is an increadible and prob. unhealthy feat. The absolute least that a person should eat is 1,200 calories a day.... the more active you are the higher it should be though. | |||
