I wax and used to get killer ingrown hairs. My waxer had me purchase two products by Jurlique....Honey Cream (after I shower) and an exfoliator that I use before I shower. It's been about a month and it is a GREAT improvement. It's a bit pricey ($30 each), but definitely worth it. You can get it at salons and online.

I had used Bikini Zone before and I thought it worked well, but this has been night and day.

I do the exact same thing! It's so extrememly frustrating. I know I shouldn't be doing it, but I can't (ok...I don't) stop myself. Does anyone have any suggestions how to stop yourself from putting those extra 10 cookies in your mouth??

I know it sounds so easy to just "don't do it", but I struggle with that!

I too am obsessed with peanut butter. It's gotten so bad that I don't even allow myself to buy it. If I happen to have a moment of weakness in the grocery store and I do buy it, it's usually gone within a couple of days. I just plop down in front of the couch with the jar and a spoon! It's horrible!!!

Oh my gosh! I just found this thread. This is great! I am about 6'1" and currently weight 185-190 (I'm boycotting my scale after a baaadddddd 2 weeks). I am currently wearing a size 12. I've been as low as 148 and a size 6. I looked like a walking skeleton. I felt really good around 165/size 8ish.

I try to eat around 1500 calories on days that I don't work out. Hopefully that does the trick. I run/walk on a treadmill and usually burn 400-700 calories, depending on what I do...usually go for about 60 minutes 5-6 days a week.

I've found that J. Crew has some good pants. That's where I get my suits from.

I love it too! They usually bring it back every summer. I live in Oregon and they don't have Paneras anywhere...I was just down in California and had one last week. Unfortunately, that's probably the only one I'll get to have this summer :(

I'm relavitely new to this site as well, and this is something that always bothers me! If I've totally blown it (i.e. gone to a restaurant and just eaten without thought) I don't even bother recording. If I've just had something in moderation and I just can't get the calorie information, I always try to guess.

It is so frustrating because when I really have no idea what I've eaten, that usually triggers the "I've blown it" mindset and I lose control. I would give anything to not do that!!

I hate the fluxuations too, but I have this fear (not real fear, but you know what I mean) that my "weigh-in" day will be a fluxuation day and then I'll get depressed! Where, if I weigh myself everyday, I'll really see how low I get.

I usually go everyday unless I've eaten poorly, then I give myself a few days to get back to normal.

Have any of you ever been to Dotti's Weight Loss Zone? I think the address is www.dottisweightlosszone.com (sorry, can't figure out how to make a hyperlink....the button doesn't seem to work)

Anyway, there are TONS of resturants and grocery store foods that have WW points figured for them. Even if you're not totally familiar with WW, you can figure out that the lower the points, the better.

I usually check that site out when I go out to eat. And, she seems to keep it fairly updated. Just beware of all of the ads and little cartoon decorations that are EVERYWHERE!! You really have to search for what you are looking for.....

I always eat 1/2 cup, but I toss either bananas, peaches, or dried blueberries on top. It's so low in calories, I don't think it's a big deal if you do eat one cup.

Weight Loss question about calorie expenditure Apr 16 2007

So, if you change activity level to "very active" do you not record your workouts if you have a sedentary job? It's not like I'm a construction worker or on my feet all day long. My only physical activity during the day is time spent on the treadmill. Days I don't do that, I'm definitely not classified as "very active".
Weight Loss question about calorie expenditure Apr 16 2007

I had a moment of panic a couple of days ago about this. I'm only a week into this site. I have a fairly sedentary job, but I workout 5-6 days a week for 60 minutes on the treadmill. At first, I took the highest activity level and still added in my workouts. I did this because I consider myself to be a very active person.

Then, I started wondering if I was double-dipping on calories burned. From some help from other members, I came to the conclusion that I should change my level to sedentary and then add in my workouts.

Whenever I have lost my motivation or feel it slipping, I try to remember why I was motivated in the first place. I'm motivated because I want to feel better, look better, and just live a healthier life.

I've only been on this site for a short time, but before I joined, I would try to lose weight and do things the right way on my own. A few years back, I was great about it and successful. Then, something happened (not sure what triggered it) and I lost all control. I hardly worked out, I pigged out on everything in site. I felt horrible doing it, and knew I needed to change. I would stand in front of the mirror and tell myself that "today was the day" but, I liked the feeling of being out of control and swore I would start "tomorrow". I was on a roller coaster between eating good and falling off the wagon.

Eventually, I got tired of the struggle and found this site. I'm hoping that this will keep me in line.

Just take things one day at a time and try to remember why you joined in the first place. Your motivation will return!!
Fitness Does walking help you sleep better? Apr 16 2007

I find that the first week or two is the hardest while your body gets used to the schedule. I'm a morning workout person..I go at 5:30 a.m. I don't have time to do it any other time and if I try to postpone it for the evening, I'm too wiped out to get a good workout in.

Tomorrow's Monday. It's a great day to start!! I find that even when it hurts to roll out of bed, I feel great after it's done and I feel great for the rest of the day. Although one downfall of getting up that early is that fact that I find myself going to bed earlier and earlier....

I always notice it when I've went on a huge binge and stuffed myself completely. It'll usually last for a day or two. It's horrible! But also, motivation to not do that to myself!
