fending off the douchebags.

weekend was rough. found out that guy i thought was great was actually emotionally abusive. blah.

im in a good mood today though.

Totally lame but I hope you kicked his rear to the curb... NO EXCUSE for emotionally abusive douchebags... if it starts this early, he has got to go.  Plus I know you could get better.

Hey TB!  Everything is going really well... I have been super busy trying to get everything ready for the business and in place so I can leave tomorrow and not worry about things until I get back.

How is everything going with you?

Brit~ Someone you know may already have tickets to the sold out SF vs. Hawks game on December 6th... one day after his birthday and two days after yours...

Maybe he may have to check to see if one of his buddies are planning on NOT making it to that game... no promises but he might check to just to see if it is even possible.

Jeg, I see your point[s], but it's too hard for me to put aside the terrible mental pictures I have of the things he did.  I read the transcripts of the trial, and the crimes are literally sickening.

Me too, it was absolutely horrible.  Absolutely...

Maybe I am an optimist but I really think and hope that he can change more lives than any of us ever wish we could.  It is not my place to judge him and can only hope that he learns from this and changes lives of those who are like who he was...

I hope he has changed and the horrible things he has done are done less often because of this.

You know, I am torn on this issue but I think it is a little more complex than a lot of people are willing to look at.  I am not defending his actions as dog fighting and then killing them is very, very sick.  Makes me what to puke sick...  If I think of Wilson and then about what happened to those dogs, I feel very sad.

But I also know that Michael Vick (MV) grew up poor and in the South.  In the South dog fighting is accepted in a lot of places and especially the culture he was raised in.  I guess you start to wonder how much responsibility falls on how he was raised.

If someone is born into a racist, close-minded skinhead family; how is it even possible for a kid who is brought up with those type of values suppose to not be so?  Even if he does terrible, terrible things; should I forgive him if at one point in his life, he sees how ignorantit is and changes his way of thinking.  Then becomes passionate about showing others who where raised in that mentality that it can be broken?

The thing is that he can be more convincing to young people who were raised that way because of the following:

He is a role model.  Whether we like it or not, he is to many children.  He came from a very poor background, worked extremely hard, and at one time was named the third richest athlete in the world.  Underprivileged kids see this and wish every day for this.  It's about hope.

He has had to pay a very, very steep price for doing it.  I think even if MV thought that it was somewhat wrong, he never thought that if he got caught it would lead to this.  There is no one who seems him as a role model who can't see that.  He lost everything, all of his money, most people's respect, his glamorous job, and went to prison.

I could see a real positive thing come out of it and it may be a mixed blessing that he got involved and was caught.  If he can now reach out to people who where raised that this type of action is OK and show them its not, then?!

I may want him to grow into a role model again...  He may be able to change more lives that anyone who can not relate to growing up on that side of the tracks...  People who are raised that its OK will not related to some middle class hippie PETA kid tell them its wrong.  They need someone they look up to, to tell them, "look at what I lost, BUT look how I have change because it is wrong.  You can be better than this.  Use me as an example."

I hope that it turns into this...

But for you Meg, I will work on it...  "I value other people time!"

haha she did call me ugly...

Then she obviously is jealous because she may be able to call you some things J (i wouldn't let her though) but ugly is not one of them...  you are very, very pleasing to a gentleman's eyes.  JMHO

DISLAIMER: just realized, this was not an advance; just stating the facts of the matter.  If your boyfriend reads this, please do not show up and kick my @ss.  I have a delicate face and was only stating a fact.

well epic fail at doing laundry last night...

 Jesse's list of epic failures:

1)  Jew's killing the Messiah

2) World's inability to stop Hitler killing over 1 million Jews

3) Julies failing at doing her laundry last night

4) GWB's presidency

5) Star Wars one, two, and three living up to four, five, and six

Jules~ you landed right between Hitler and our boy George.

Just kidding!!!  Good morning Jules!

(disclaimer:  THIS IS A JOKE and yes, Jewish by heritage on dad's side so I can joke about that without getting into religious debate... only kind of joking about ex president though, lol)

... i am currently debating with myself over my need to do laundry tonight.

Ahhh, the never ending 'do I NEED to do laundry' debate.  I have had that battle many times...

It stinks when you decide no; then go to get dressed in the morning and can't find something you want to wear.   But it is such a pain in the @ss sometimes.  Do you have to go to the Mat or just have to be motivated enough to throw it in?

Also, what ever happened to the fridge?

I am sooooo lucky as Dale Chihuly lives in West Seattle and a ton of his sculptures are around the area.  At the PNW Ballet, Benaroya Hall, the SAM & TAM (Seattle & Tacoma Art Museums), and even on a overpass bridge in Tacoma.

I love his work and am so lucky to have seen so much of it.  If your not familiar with his work, check it out here.  I want some pieces for my house but even small vase or bowls go for 10K.  Maybe some day...
