I lost another pound!  Well, I started this whole thing on the 18th, so in 6 days I've lost 2 lbs now.  YEAH!!  It's amazing how this really works, because when I get to that 3500 (give or take) mark of saving calories, I lose the weight.  So I guess there is a science to it! hahaha!!  The one thing I'm still trying to figure out though, is what is good choices and bad choices.  The day before I ate a lot of things like raisin bran, veggies, etc.  Then yesteday, my son wanted to buy me lunch at McDonalds.  I was nervous about it, but went ahead and treated myself, having a grilled chicken club sandwhich.  I could see the fat and sodium count just being unreal.  But at the end of the day, my "grade" was actually higher than the day before.  Go figure.  Maybe it's the variety.  I don't know.  But I was expecting not a good score for the day.  I will say however, I was good the rest of the day with salad for lunch, and then I walked the second I got home, to try and burn off some of the calories I took in at Micky D's.  Have a great day!!

Ok, so I have a question...When I started this thing a few days ago, it gave me recommended # of calories to eat each day in order to lose x amount of weight in x amount of time.  Does that mean I stay on the same calorie recommendation the whole year or whatever time frame it was??  Or, as I lose weight, do I have to decrease calories also?

Sorry I had a typo on the total calorie thing.  It's not 2450, it's 2050.  Much different!  hahaha!!  I'm 5'6.  I did weigh this morning when I got to work and found that I had lost a pound!  I guess you have to start somewhere!  hahaha!!  I've done really well today, and after finishing supper found that I've only eaten about 1100 calories.  Not because I'm not eating, I've just had a ton of vegtables today.  I almost had a weak moment though and considered taco bell or mcdonalds on the way home!!  Fortuntely I talked myself out of it!

Hello!  I'm new to the cc website.  Found it by accident a couple of days ago, but I'm really excited about it!  Until I logged in everything I eat during a day, I had no idea how many calories a person really consumes!  My current weight is 219 and have been overweight for many years.  My husband loves me anyway, which is good, but with 6 children and a full time job, I've never been able to do anything for myself.  This year I decided I am going to do something for me!  I've been walking for about a month and a half - anywhere from 2-4 miles 4 or 5 days a week and didn't lose a single pound!  So discouraging.  I also had changed my diet to mostly healthy things, giving up soda, fast food, etc.  Still no weight loss.  So I'm wondering if maybe I had still been taking in too many calories, even if it were more healthy foods.  My plan recommends 2450 a day, and last night because I was watching everything I did 1845.  That still seems like a lot to me, but I need to wean myself further I think.  Anyway, we'll see how it goes.  Have a great day!!
