i'd suggest starting to log tomorrow...and thanksgiving day, just let yourself eat what you usually would while counting calories and then dont log the dinner its self.

that's what i plan on doing.

probably just plan on eating about counting 1000 calories max on thanksgiving day, and then thanksgiving dinner on the side. sounds good to me anyways.

the last three days defiantly couldn't have negated the 3 lbs you lost while your husband is gone, i'd suggest getting back on track as soon as you can. :]

i feel your pain!

I'm still in high school, but i'm taking an academy class at a different school that i have to drive to (only half an hour away, but still) and its meant to be an aerospace technology class.

all we've done is talk about the history of flight.

i had hoped to learn about how aircrafts work.

i use a cheap tinting/moisturizing/sun-screening lotion, and it makes me feel like i'm doing something good for my skin, and on the days i dont use it i notice my face feeling funny, so i'd suggest it. :]

try doing something different!

you should have built muscle enough to try some more advanced things, and if you havent, try doing handstand pushups! move on to walking on your arms! that would be an extremely awesome way to show your strength!

Foods College Eating, how to I make it healthier? Nov 04 2009

i stayed at a college for a weekend and found what worked for me was choosing 1 meal item (aka, grilled cheese sandwich, small slice of pizza, preferably something carb/proteinish, not worrying about fat) then a bowl of fruit and a bowl of veggies. sometimes dessert. it worked for me, but then again, it was only for the weekend.  Eating foods that look like the original, like cut up fruits and veggies, made me feel better about what i was eating.

you know what i would do?

i'd get hooked on things that are available both HIGH and low calorie (breads, jello, cream cheese, soups, juice).  That way, once you reach your goal weight, you can still eat the things you've come to love, and eat the same amount.  It slightly kills two birds with one.

That's what i'd do.

My logic may be flawed tho, if so, please correct me!

The Lounge Underage drinking Sep 30 2009

drinking alcohol is just another thing our society doesnt do in moderation.

Too much alcohol is just another way to go to an extreme, just as too much food, too much nicotine, too much anything.

Binging on alcohol in groups appeals to those under the legal age, as it also gives them a way to rebel against authority.

So, the laws could be considered a partial problem since it gives teens a way to rebel.  If the government banned high sugar foods, watch our teens get a sugar high in order to rebel.

Behavior is also a problem. In families where the relationships between immediate authority and teen are weak or dysfunctional, the teen will most likely be more prone to rebel.  Speaking from experience, my family and I have a healthy relationship most of the time, which means i see no point in breaking their trust and binging on alcohol (not to mention how it effects the development of the frontal lobe and reasoning skills...).
When my parents got over-concerned over my eating habits tho, I subconsciously rebelled by eating more than necessary. This was obviously unhealthy as well.  It takes time and practicing moderation to learn self control.

i row in rain and sometimes hail through crew workouts.

I dont know how cold it is, but if you deck out in warm spandex, it'll get soaked, but the water around you will retain some body heat, and since your running you hopefully won't freeze.

Also, wool. Wool is warm even when its wet. Maybe a nice woolen sweater?

try stretching and try exercising your shoulder by using the same motion you would to lift weights (without weights though). try to get it to a good mobility before adding weights.

anyway, thats only my opinion, i'm not a specialist, but i'm figuring the quickest way to recover is that way.

I'd just pack some calorie dense foods (dried fruit, nuts, crackers/cereal) in a small ziplock baggie to much on through the day.  However many calories necessary to meet your daily nutritional needs and not cause a binge later on.

Simply put, I believe there MUST be a reason to being here, cause if there wasn't one, why would it be w/in human nature to search for one?

I find that the Bible explains why we're here, and it's ideas make sense to me.
My main answer + humble opinion: Many people (not saying the majority of the world or anything), including I, believe we're here to praise/exalt God (with our actions, thoughts, deeds, and taking care of our bodies).

Answer to other questions;

I believe once your body is dead, that's it, but the soul is eternal.
I also believe that sitting around drinking beers and chatting for eternity seems like it could get old after a while. I think it (afterlife for those who accept Christ's death+resurrection in order to make peace with God) is more than 100 times better than the avg person could imagine it.
And i don't really have an opinion on animals, even though i love my dog.

And although i just did some preaching there, i COMPLETELY understand people being bugged by it (and the mormon website post, and the ranting man). The question was asked, and i answered it with my opinion.

i just googled pre and post workout nutrition. :]

well... my comments on it are that i've tried to keep to the post workout advice, and figured out powerbar protein plus bars have about the right percentage and amt of calories and having one after a workout def. helps me not overeat. :]

Hmmm

i'm more or less in that situation

i lost 30 lbs

and now when people ask me why i'm dieting i pretty much say;

i used to weigh abt ten pounds more, but i dropped down to a healthy weight, but the lbs creeped up on me so i gained a lot of it back.

My mom noticed after I lost 5 lbs. She didn't know I was dieting.

um. so whats crazy is, after reading this i decided to waste my time reading fmlife posts.

one was this:

Today, I went to the doctor to inquire about the rash I've been getting in my underarms, behind my knees and sometimes on my face. Turns out I'm allergic to sweat. I'm a varsity rugby coach, gym teacher, and I just shelled out a stack of cash to get a sauna and steam room installed in my house. FML

For your sake i'm hoping it's the fragrance in deodorant that's causing the trouble.

just had to share that.

eat however much you need of the dinner, throw the rest in Tupperware, and eat it the next day for lunch. that way you stretch the meal and your mom doesnt have to worry about the food going to waste. And you wont have to over eat that night cause you know you get to have the same tastiness the next day!

thats what i do during the school year. :]

Young Calorie Counters Teens how many calories do you eat? Aug 31 2009
00:38 (UTC)

17, 5'5", 147 lbs (as of the last 2 weeks) (i realize my bmi is on the high side of average...)

Maintenance is 1800, i dont do much, though i'll take a 20 min walk to my friend's house, or bike to another's in abt 10. Pretty light activity, if not sedentary.

I row during the school season, so i developed some muscle then, which is kinda just sitting on me til i start rowing again this fall. Its probably burning a bit more than if i was ALWAYS sedentary. Rowing is a pretty difficult endurance sport.

often enough :]

i actually like ice cream sandwiches, since they're portioned out for you.

i really like the skinny cow mint ice cream sandwhich (140 cal)

as well as Kondike 100 cal ice cream sandwiches

and lite fudgesicles (40-50 cal, depending on if generic or not) (100 cal if you want un-diet ones and wanna avoid evil sweeteners and just enjoy your portioned sugar)
