| Fitness | treadclimber - your opinion? | Sep 30 2008 04:47 (UTC) |

hey...hope you're still checking the post. I don't have a treadclimber, but I really wanted one. I just found one on craigslist. It's used, but the guy says he's moving and has to get rid of it. He says it's a year old and he's kept it in his home office the whole time. "Like New". Anyway - he only wants $600 - that's nearly 1/4 what you'd pay for brand new. I lucked out - hopefully you can too! If you want, I'll check back when I get it this weekend. I plan to use a heart rate monitor to see just how it compares to a regular treadmill. I'll keep you posted... |

| I started eating tums before working out and it helps a lot....as far as the nose - I'm just going to start grabbing some paper towels before i start and use them during the workout - I did that today and I guess it works - my nose felt weird though, lol. I do drink a lot of water - I think that has helped in the "long run" because I used to have heartburn probably 5 our of 7 days a week but now I haven't had heartburn in....3 months or so I guess ;) Also, I used to get headaches (aka - feel like crap) after exercising, but - I found I was pushing too hard even though I didn't "feel" it during the workout I knew I'd feel like crap afterwards....I started slow and worked my way up to where i am now - before i couldn't even run for more than a minute - today I ran 6 mph (treadmill) for 15 minutes straight. Felt great...I even upped it to 7mph and 8mph in the stretch. Yeah yeah, I'm bragging a little lol (keep in mind I'm 6'4" tall so my long legs help me run faster because of the longer stride lol) Thanks guys. |

i guess I'm just going to keep on doing what I've been doing (logging food, cardio, some weights) but I'm going to look at my food choices even closer over the next week and try to make even healthier choices/alternatives thanks guys |
