Wow. Speaking as an organic, free-range chicken egg farmer, I honestly think the battery chickens are better off. My poor birds have all kinds of things happen to them from being free-range and I feel bad for them. |

I'm 23 weeks pregnant. Starting weight was 121 lbs. and I've gained 16 lbs. This is my 4th pregnancy. With my 1st I gained 29 lbs., 2nd was 34 lbs., and 3rd was 39 lbs. Also I had a higher starting weight with each pregnancy. Except this one, this is my lightest starting weight, so I'm a little paranoid about how big I'm going to get. |

I'm a waitress & have a funny vegan story to share. A man and lady came in for dinner one night and although we don't have anything vegan on the menu, the chefs will prepare a vegan meal upon request. So, the man asks for a vegan meal and is very specific that he doesn't want mashed potatoes because they have butter and wanted to make sure we used olive oil on his veggies instead. Then, his girlfriend and he asked if they could start by sharing a caesar salad. I said, "there is anchovy in the dressing... are you ok with that?" He said, he'll deal with it... I went back out and said, "there are raw eggs in the dressing... are you ok with that?" He said he'd deal with it. pfft! WTF??? I forgot to mention the cheese on the salad, but I guess if a vegan can eat anchovy & egg, then cheese should be ok! |

egg whites! For breakfast make a giant egg-white scramble with whatever veg or meat you have lying around. I usually use one whole egg and 2-5 egg whites. The more veggies you add, the better. Onions, garlic, asparagus, artichoke hearts, red bell pepper, anything! |

Wow! I really appreciate the positive feedback! I do want her to be able to eat with us, whatever the rest of us are eating and not making a special meal just for her. I made enchiladas the other day with a separate pan for her vegetarian enchiladas, so that worked out well, but I don't usually make enchiladas. My family pretty much eats a lean protein, with beans or rice and a green veg for dinner. So on nights when I cook that, she just gets some asparagus and rice. That seems to me like it's not enough. She still eats eggs (thank God since I own a chicken egg farm), so I'll make her an egg on the mornings when I wake up in time. I've added a lot of salads to our dinners with nuts & cheese. Again, that's something that when I'm counting calories I won't be eating. |

I would guess that I eat 2-8 eggs a day, 7 days a week. Sometimes we have egg in every meal! An egg white scramble for breakfast, quiche or fried egg sammy for lunch and in fact tonight for dinner we're having pan-seared scallops with an egg on top! |

don't feel bad about the lack of soy products in your area. They are bad for you anyway. Bad Bad Bad. Just eat more eggs! Have an egg/egg-white omelette for breakfast. Make quiche for dinner! |
