| wow it looks like a lot of us are starting to questino our goals, eh? I dont want anybody to think they cannot do it, becuase we all can! However, I am glad we're starting to think about how hard it would be to maintain, and how we dont want ot limit ourselves too much forever. I think my goal will be 129-130. | clairebear-i'm in with you girl. You're so awesome! I havent done any bad eaitng to make myself jump up to 132, but yeah. i'll get back down to 130 and we will rethink. Honestly though i dont think its a plateau, I think anything under 130 woul dbe too hard to maintain and I dont wnt to live my life like that, you know? I was looking in the mirror the other day and i've finally realized that my shoulders are a bit more broad then the girls i'd like to look like, and i've got these hip bones that they dont have either. So i think my body could get down to 125 but it would be way too hard. When i'm at 130 again, i'll retihnk, probably want to get to 127-128 and stay there. But, we'll talk more about our long term goals once we've reached 130 and 140! | |||

| today i weighed in at 132.
Guys, the other day i ate so much candy! I did well all day, all week even, but seemingly once a week I will eat at night and snack till i can no longer snack. Today it's only 2:40 pm and i've eating my maintenance calories already. What am I supposed to do? I dont know about my 125 goal, and if I do it isnt going to be a short term goal. I feel like i just want to get back to 130 and then slowly work down to 125 while eating 1500 instead of 1200. I dont know. What do you guys think? I do have simi broad shoulders naturally wide hips so I dotn know if my body just does not want to let go of these last 5-8 lbs becuase it never has been so low before or what. I can honestly say though i'm not deathly skinny and i do have a good amount of meat on my bones still. espeically by thighs and my tummy |

| clairbear- gain height? that is amazing, i've never heard of that. Too bad you didnt measure yourself to begin with to see if you really grew! So how are you and your boyfriend doing??
You know what, the scale has been showing up 131.6, which means i've gained 1.6 lbs since i started running and doing these ab work outs. I'm only running 30 minutes three days a week, but i honestly think it is muscle weight because I dont think I look thicker or anything, i actually think i look the same but a bit more tight, and toned. not much, but a BIT. So i'm not upset by my weight gain. I'm going to stick with this 1200-1400 calorie diet, keep running three days a week and so a little ab workout every day. Hopefully by the end of the month i'll feel great. I also notice i'm happier ever since i started running again. I'm not as impatient and grouchy. :) . What do you guys do for your stomach? How many crounches should I do a day? |

| I think that is waht I will do. You know, i ran three times this week, and not i'm at 132!! the heck?? When i start to run am i supposed to gain that much?
Ok, if i jog for 30-40 minutes three times a week, how much should I eat? I really wanted to get to 125 by may 30th, but i dont see that happening anymore. I shouldnt be discouraged, I just would like to know why the scale is going up. When it stayed at 130 i was frustrated, so i started to run. so now what? |

Anyway, i've been 130-131 for the past month and I dont understand why. Last night I went crazy and ate anything i wanted. I dont know if i want to call it a binge though. I feel okay about it, i'm just scared to weigh in this morning. |

| Clairebear- I say, stick with 1300 and we'll see what happens! I've gona running twice this week. One on monday, wednesday, and i'm planning to tomorrow as well..so that makes three days. I think with yhe schedule I have righ tnow, three days I can manage. It's better than nothing. Maybe i'll work my way up to exercising for 60 minutes three days a week, rather than 30 minutes. But for now, 30-40 minutes is going to have to do. ANyway, I havent seen change in the scale. Well a positive change anyway. It's gone up a lb and a half this week, which i dont understand becuase i'm actually running now. I wonder if its muscle? Or if it's too soon to have built up muscle. It could be water weight too though. The other day i had some pizza and the day before some fajitas with this mix that is very high in sodium. *dont worry, i stayed under my calories with both pizza and the mexican food*. So since i stayed under my cals and have been running, i think the only conclusion is that its water weight. Not to mention i need to be drinking extra on days I run, which i havent really been doing.
I'll keep chugging water and try to stick to low sodium dinners for the rest of the week, so that *HOPEFULLY* on Sunday I will have seen a drop from the 130s. |

| Clairebear! Good weekly challenge! 30 minutes is better than nothing, heck it's great! 144 again huh? Hopefully this week our running will pay off on the scale :) I'm about to hit the gym to do some running. First time in a long time. Unfortunately, it's only going to be an hour or two after i ate breakfast, but this is really the only time I have. I'm giong to run for at least 30 minutes, hopefully burn off hte breakfast. This is cool becuase I can eat more later! :). Do you think it's bad to go running only two hours after i've eaten? BTW: scale this morning said 130.0. I think it may be because of all the liquids i had yesterday (green tea, water) as well as all the sleep I had last night!! |

| clairbear- I'm wishing you luck for tomorrow morning! i'm excited to see what the scale officially says for you as of tomorrow. also, i want to thank you so much for communicating back to me! Seriously, you're a huge part of the reason i'm not getting discouraged. You're so motivated, even in the midst of a nine week plateau, you're so encouraging! that helps me want to keep on going and not give up, no matter if another week goes by or another month and no progress. You're determined to reach your goal and you will. And i am determined also, but you help me so much! My 10 day challenge resulted in no progress, but hey! Time to start a new challenge. Except this challenge will be differnent. I'm going to take your advice.
I know I can find 30-60 minutes at leat three times a week to go for a jog. I'm so glad you can relate to me on how hectic school/work is. But my new mini challenge starts tomorrow (it conveniently happens to be a monday). It's going to be a week long challenge. Week challenges seem to be easier and more exciting than if i were to plan it for a month, and i also seem to keep on track this way. Anyway, this weeks challenge will be for me to do some cardio work out either on the elliptical or run on a treadmill or outside for at least 30 minutes at least three days this week. I will start tomorrow. So, i will eat more than 1200 of course. I will eat around 1500 calories, and burn 300 off. This is going to be a tough challenge since i havent had time to exercise in a long time, but i want to break through this number and i'm determined to reach my 125 soon!! I know i can find time to run monday/wednesday/friday, and that is three days already I know I can go running. I'm also excited becuse this means on those days I can eat more! My boyfriend is becoming more supportive of this so i'm going to tell him those three days i plan to go for a run so he can help hold me accountable. That was a bit long, I know. I wanted to ask everyone if they wanted to make weekly challenges for themselves. things they personally think or want to improve on. This way we can hold one another accountable as well as watch each other get closer to their goal. |

| I dont exactly have time to work out, but i know that is what will help me get past this number. i just really am too busy. School and work. especialy right now with finals. ech. Any advice? | clairebear! Congradulations lady! I dont know which one it was! it's kind of hard to tell at this point, you know? I definately think that exercising differently made a difference though. As far as calories go, i'm not sure. Try eating around 1400ish today and see what the scale says in the morning!
I took your advice, i weighed this mroning at 130.6 the first time I got on the scale. urgh. This number sucks. |

| Tiffaniekay- heyy there and welcome to the group girl! So glad you found this forum! Tell us about yourself so we can help each other more! How tall are you? age? Weight? goal weight? Know you're not a lone, drinking is what makes a lot of people gain weight once they hit their 20s. Not only is it the high calorie alcoholic drinks, but the junk food cravings after, or the need to snack on something. You need to start to limit the alcohol consumption by a bit so that you will see results! Or, you can eat a little bit less througout the week so that there is plenty of calorie room left for the weekends for you to drink. Just try not to snack afterwards! Anyway, let me know your stats and then i'll totally give you all the advice I can! | |||

The first three times I stepped on the scale it was 131.6 the second three times 130.0, what do you think?. SO frustrating. But, i'll keep on trucking until i do reach 125. | hey everyone. I'm still here at 131, which is the same as last time i weighed, which is .4 more than the second to last time i weighed. haha. that was a little confusing. Anyway, i'm going to try and eat 100-200 calories more than i usually do today, becuase i'm thinking i'm not eating enough and that is why my body wont let go of anything else. Becuase i've never been smaller than 130.6 in my life, and when my body hit that it seems to be stubborn. but, i'm not giving up. We're all going to reach our goals. i'm a littl ebummed i'm not going to be at 129 like i planned to be this sunday. But that's okay. As long as I dont give up and keep limiting the cals, i've got to make it to 125 eventually. Stubborn body! only 6 lbs to go. thats it! 6 lousy lbs! I can do it and so can you guys!
Angele-that is exactly what I would do if i were you. It's friday, enjoy it with your friends and what not. it's totally fine to have a few drinks, BUT, make sure you do dance more than drink. Dancing is always fun, and good exercise, and will keep you from drinking too many calories. Clairebear-I should do what you're doing and drink 1/3 more fluids than i normally do. my mini goal was t be at 129. two lbs in ten days (which seemed reasonable because thats the way things were going), but instead i've put on 0.4 lbs! SO, my mini goal is now to just get back to 130.6. I'm hoping the scale will say that again tomorrow morning. But, i'm not bummed becuase we'll start a new mini goal challenge, and I can try to beat that one! Good luck! |

| dude! I did that yesterday! I went to a dodgers game and ate anything! Tacos, kettle korn, chocolate, YOU name it. I know it's nothing to congradulate us on, but I think it's good now to feel bad about it, and to know it was just once in a while. I let myself give in once a week to a treat meal but usually pick the healthiest option at whatever restaraunt i'm at. But once a month I allow myself to eat whatyever i want, be it chocolate, pizza, chipotle, whatever! | |||

| hey everyone! yeah, i sure did have a feast. It was so much fun though. I allow myself one day a month to eat what i like. Yesterady was that day. Super fun too, the dodgers game with my boyfriend was a good day to have a free day. I didnt weigh myself this morning, i was scared! Tomorrow morning though i'll let you all know where I stand. Probably went up becuase of yesterday, but i'll lose it back. Only thing is, cant seem to pass 130. Tomorrow, as long as i'm under 132 i'll be happy. I'll drink plenty of water and nourish myself back to 130, get rid of all the salt i had the other day from kettle korn and tacos. anyway, excited to see where I am tomorrow mroning. Purespark, bacon cheeseburger!!! I splurged also. New day today though! |

I had a BLAST with my boyfriend. I AM NOT weighing myself tomorrow, i was really bad with food today. I ate falafel, tacos, kettle korn. | Still 130.6. I'm kind of nervous. Sure, i'm glad i'm not gaining any, but i have really been restricting my calories. Do you think i'd still be 130.6 if i ate my maintenance calories? I dont understand this. Anyway, i'm a bit scared becuase tomorrow is the dodgers game and i'm going to treat myself to whatever i want at that greek cafe, i'm hoping i dont GAIN any, at least any that isnt water weight. I'm also hoping my metabolism just hasnt gotten to the point where i'm maintaining now becuase i've restricted my calories too much. I'm not sure. I started zig zagging yesterday, so maybe tomorow will be a good way to break through this 130.6. Having about 750 deficit today, and having hardly any tomorrow, and around 800 again the next day. I'm drinking so much water, too! So i know that cant be it.
Clairebear- i promise, almond milk isnt nearly as bad as green tea. I used to think green tea was nasty but it just sort of grew on me. Almond breeze unsweetened milk though, thats really really good. When i went to the UK I stayed in this Astor Hostile near Hyde Park. I also then went to this little village about an hour west of london to stay with my grandma, and then i went to scotland to stay with my aunt. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. I think when i'm going to take a semester abroad in the UK my second year in university! |

| I saw them at hungry-girl.com, and today i was at the grocery store debating on whether i should pay almost five bucks for them. thing is, the box is incredibly small but I dont think they were just muffin tops, i think they were actual muffins. | also, just like jumaolster said, so many of the women have fake breasts, lips, face lifts, the whole deal. I will see someone come in one day looking unrealistically smaller a month later, to where you know the only way they got that way was lipo. Same with breast size. Not to mention half the girls pay big money to get fake tans througout the winter. | |||

| Let me add on to this. I live in hollywood, and i actually work at a cafe where celebs like paris hilton, renee zelwegger, nicole richie, the olson twins etc come in, and everyone in my neighborhood is truely addicted to their looks, it's disturbing. IT really does rule their lives over here. Dont get me wrong, most of them are staying fit the healthy way, particularly the males. But most the women live with calories ruling their lives. | |||
