it wouldnt take 3 days to go into starvation mode.....it was probably just some water weight....and the gaining could be some water weight , too i wouldnt worry too too much.....it should even out eventually :) your body may just be getting used to eating your new way :) |

I dont think that you should say like STOP, because that could make her self esteem go down, instead, if you see her opening some sort of snack, say, hey do you want to ahve some carrots and hummus with me? or suggest a better choice she may not respond, but if shes feeling bad about her body, she may stop and think about what shes eating --My sister had a problem similar to this and i did what i just said and she started making healthier choices. And stopped complaining about how she looks **If this keeps on happening, you may want to tell ur mom or someone, because it could be BED |

In response to post: #7, that sounds like a great idea, and then you can bulk it up even more! #9, you only need the TINIEST little PINCH of seasoning, and you dont heat the olive oil until it burns, only until its a little warm, and if you cook them in water, they get soggy and gross, *olive oil is not bad for you* you really dont need a lot of it, and i can use the fat in my diet-

i learned in cross country and track that while you should stretch before and after your workout, it is MORE important to stretch AFTER you run because something about your muscles can function better or something. It has always worked for me and i run 4-5 miles (in 35-40 min) every day and am never sore!! HOPE THIS HELPS ***It is also important to cool down your muscles after you run too! because of the lactic acid, this also could be the cause of your problem |

well, i dont know if this is correct, but i have experienced the same thing, and i think it is because your body does more work when you run, because when you run, you have to push all of your body off of the ground and that takes a lot of energy, but it also depends on how fast you're going, for me i run faster than my spped would be on the elleptical, i think it is all a matter of taste and doing what you want to do |

the thing that i always struggle with is beating myself up over days like that, and there is really no reason to as long as it is not a habit. The thing that always helps me to get over that is that it was only one day of my life, and i can start fresh tomorrow, just work out a little extra for tomorrow! GOOD LUCK!!!! |

| It is often times to exxaterate the trends that are coming, also if you watch the more couture shows, yeah there will be more out there things (think alexander mcqueen) it is to show ideas and it is also about the work that goes into thoes clothes, you wouldnt believe it!!! like some dresses take HUNDREDS of hours to complete | |||

ive only been to one, and it was really fun because of the group that we had, but like beaukat said, if people arent paying attention or goofing off it would be a disaster, just think about the boys especially that you are inviting, because when you get certain people together they will act really different...so if you just get the right people together, it will be really fun. |

| yeah, im dressing as madonna kind of, (its a costume party) and we found this like very pale grey slipcover to put on our couch, as well as a bunch of old records,
in the party favors i am getting all of the girls jelly bracelets and scrunchies and the guys will get either thos ray-ban sunglasse (i think that'sa what they're called-they're the kind that look like almost a headband) or the kind of sunglasses that they have on miami vice and everyone's getting like candy that was popular during that time we're thinking about showing Ferris bhulers's day off--idk because that's one of the few totally appropriate movies (my mom's really stricht with what other kids can watch when they come into our house) --------Any other ideas?? |

i am relatively active (45 min cardio, 5x a week) and since i cook all of my own meals, (because I'm a vegetarian) she wouldn't have a problem and so yeah, she would also buy different foods if i told her why... i LOVE the idea of 6 mini meals a day, but, because of school, that is not an option, so, i was wondering also what would be the appropriate amount of calories that i should have in each meal, considering my activity level?? THANKS LOTS!!! |

one thing that a lot of the kids at my skool do is they bring a box of cereal and a bowl and keep it in their lockers, they buy milk for the cereal and bring some fresh fruit...Sounds good, What i do is just plan out what i want t eat like on sunday and on sunday night, i make all of my lunches, and put them all in bags, and then put them all in the fridge, that way they are all ready in the morning, and you can have a quick healthy lunch! |
