| I didn't see the Oprah special. I think that she is a woman who has done a lot for different causes that are close to her heart and that these unselfish acts of compassion have changed the lives of so many people around her that I wouldn't even want to try to start counting or to even try to measure up to all her devotion to help others. If only for that, she should deserve our respect. As for her weight issues, she has never made any secrets about her weight gains or losses and has gone out of her way to try and educate people on how to help themselves with their own weight issues through her own experiences. That is the important point in all this I think, weight issues are our own and not other peoples. We can inspire ourselves in reading about the lives of people who have succeeded or failed and learned from their mistakes or say that a celebrity or our child or spouse or a good friend are a good motivation to help us on our journey but how these persons fare in their own struggles should never be a factor in achieving positive results in our own life story because ultimately our success or failures are our own. When we take the initiative to lose weight, stop a bad habit in general or make a major life change it is for ourselves that we do it. In acknowledging that we are the ones who have to take responsibility for our own issues we become less affected by outer influences that can possibly alter our personal goals. I find that society in general still has a very long way to go before finally understanding that we are the ones responsible for our own actions and attitudes in all the aspects of our lives. We should never lose sight that the first reason for personal change should be to love ourselves for who we are just as we are. Smiles :) |

| Your Result: The Inland North You may think you speak "Standard English straight out of the dictionary" but when you step away from the Great Lakes you get asked annoying questions like "Are you from Wisconsin?" or "Are you from Chicago?" Chances are you call carbonated drinks "pop."
This is too funny because I am french Canadian lol smiles:) |

| Hi everyone, I remember when a bus ride in the city used to cost a dime, now it costs 4.25$ A phone call in a phone both would be a dime. I remember when I could buy a small bag of chips, a handfull of 1cent candies and a small bottle of sodapop for a quarter and get a 5cent refund on the bottle and then buy 5 more 1cent candies.... We did everything we could to make that quarter bring in the goodies!... I know, my food obsession started young lol and no no, I'm not getting old!!! age is just a state of mind lol smiles :) |

| I think I would fall asleep watching either of those; they are actually still on the air??? I guess either one would be ok if I needed to not think for an hour lol 1- Having a role in a Sci-Fi flick as a mutant alien, having to wear tight rubber latex costumes that take 8 hours daily in dressing and makeup to put on for a scene that lates 5 minutes Or 2- Being Britney Spears life Coach and having to bring control back into her, image, wardrobe, eating habits and wild ways while being her children?s full time Nanny. All this at minimum wage! |
