I'm still sitting between 134 and 136lbs (20 to go...still).   Unfortunately my running/lifting partner (my fiance') needed a break from working out, due to his knee hurting and just general muscle fatigue.  I however decided (since I'm not running alone out here) that I'd find another way to keep my cardio up, and I picked up a tae bo video.

So far so good :D

Name: Crystal

BMI: 25.5

Biggest diet pitfall: Work. Lots of lunches with colleges to places I shouldn't be eating at.  As of late, the fact that I haven't really lost any weight, but my clothes sure do fit different.

Best motivator: Being able to run full out for 30seconds and then jog afterward, being able to do 20 pushups again.  Lifting weights (up to 15 pounds 8-6-6 reps) and 35 on the bar.  I was happy at 115lbs, I'd like to get there again.  135 is just to much on my 5 foot (and some change) frame.

After the last 1 in half week of completely ruining my food consumption (eating out alot etc) and the random excerise (no scheduling or consistancy what so ever)  I picked up 1 pound :(

This week I'm back on track though.  No more goofing off!

I will admit however, the exercise in general must be doing something, everybody keeps telling me that I look thiner, tho I certainly don't feel much thinner hehe.

OH!!! and!!! i picked out and got my measurements for my wedding dress!!!  I'm not planning on dropping 20+ pounds so getting sized for it and loosing 10 pounds shouldn't affect how it looks on me at all.  It's also a lace up (corset) so it can be adjusted :D   I'm so excited!!!

Wooo what a crazy few weeks 0_o

Between work maddness and just everything... o_o ... been nutty and I haven't been able to track to well (if at all 0_o) on Caloire Counter.  I've been pretty good with food intake, but worse than my norm at the same time... I'm not overly concerened as I know I tend to eat right at the mimimum of what I should be with all the calories I burn from exercising daily.   300 calories more a day isn't going to affect me much heh.

Luckily I have figured something out about myself and running, I'm no where near the lvl my fiance' is with it hehe.  If I run 2 days in a row, by day 3 my shins are trying to explode out the fron of my leg on the warm up walk and I normally can't make it more than 1 mile without wanting to cry.  I've concluded I need to go running/jogging every other day or I'll burn myself out by day 3.  I still lift everyday but for now I'm only running every other.

I haven't actually lost any weight, I went up by a pound+ ( my scale sucks hehe) I'm asuming it's muscle mass since I'm noticing my body shape changing for the better.  Like my knee fats no longer hit each each other I've got clearance again and I can feel that I'm stronger than last week.  At the gym I can no hold my own weight on the stomache machine (the one where you use your arms to support your weight and your feet hang) and do a few crunches :D.

Every week I see more and more changes!!  It's exciting!

I quit about 7 months ago and smoked for about 11 years.  I gained a bit, but I was already watching what I ate and such, so I just monitored myself a bit more.

Thanks for the warm welcome :D

I'm definately hopeing to see some weight shifts in the next few weeks once the working out/metabolism change starts kicking in.  I know this week and possilby next week there will be very little weight change or fluctuating weight changes.  Tho I can already feel my body toneing up, my clothing fits a touch different and what not.  Only bummer is I think I may have pushed to hard during the run yesterday, i get shin split when jogging (I'm still new to it), got bad at 2miles but we still had 2 miles to go so I pushed through it till it all went numb and then away entirely (probably an adrenaline hit) or the muscle giving up and saying fine you win heh.  Today is our day off from running tho, so the rest will be good I think.

Hello all!

I'm kinda new to the forums, old to the site though and looking to get involved some.  I'm 26 at 5 foot and some change and currently weighing in at 135.  I've been watching what I eat, quit smokeing and completely removed soda's and fast food from my life over the past year.  It's become natural to me with this new diet at this point and I dont crave sweets or greesy foods.  Sure sometimes we go out to eat and stuff but once a week and never fast food, yuck.  However with these changes I saw no change in my weight, I just held out around 134-137lbs (my scales a POS but eh I dont need exact numbers close is fine for me).

Recently i started working out and running with my fiance'.  About a month + ago was when i started to join him but I went sporadically and found myself in pain ALOT.  I ended up hurting my leg, to much to fast, and didnt go for about 3 weeks.  I've started again last week and plan to push through a full 8 week cycle then break for a week.  We are running/jogging/walking 4 miles everyday but Thurs and Sat/Sun and lifting everyday but Fri/Sat/Sun.

Only time will tell!!!

My favorite is fresh sliced apple wedges with peanut butter on them.   It doesnt sound that appealing but it's SOOO good.  It's something my grandmother always ate and shared with me when I was little.

I actually enjoying running and then lifting, I'm completely and utterly exhausted when I'm done tho lol.

And technically we do have a break before we lift, it's the last quarter mile back (which we always walk) and then streaching for 10 minutes a rehydration break and just overall time to cool off and let my leg muscles stop being whiny about having to do something.  We lift after that.

I think I'll try to increase a bit tonight, and try figure out what's best for me.

 Thanks all :D

I will continue to run and then lift, I was only questioning if lifting before running helped any with weight loss/fitness as I had heard it did.

I asumed I should tack on a bit more weight, but since I'm still struggling a bit on my last 3counts on my last rep I wasn't sure if I should wait till I had all 3 reps (8, 6, and 6 x3 with a break between) down solid.  I also have no idea how much more weight to add, I'm alot smaller than my fiance', he knows how much he goes up by, I still have no idea for me.
