Yeah Ginnyannb!!  Good for you!

I had a bit of a set back yesterday - 2 super tacos and a small tater tot! However, my calorie intake was still way below what I used to eat! Back on track today. No weight gain, thank goodness.

I got measured on Wednesday and I have lost 1 to 1 1/2 inches everywhere! I am so excited and remotivated. Finally lost that first 10 pounds to. So, on track for the weekend - I hope! Happy Memorial Day all - remember, we are going to be healthy and svelte!  :-)

Ginny - hang in there girl, it's bound to get better. I notice that the downers usually last anywhere from 1 day to 7. Just keep on thinking of the good things you have in your life and the people you love and how you want to be there to see them grow and how you want to feel good doing it!  I understand about the "I look good as I am" syndrome. I have told myself that all of my life. Now I am doing this for my health. I have been told to just imagine how good I would look if I was thinner. How am I supposed to imagine that when I have never known me as anything but fat??? So, we cannot justify staying fat if we want to live and feel good while doing it. It's not about how we look, it's about HEALTH!!!

Tabby - I am sorry about your cat. That is a real bummer! She will probably be back. I have a friend whose cat disappeared for six months and came home tired and scroungy but happy to be home and healthy. Don't give up hope. Stay on track and don't let the depression beat ya!

Hey all you happy losers! :-)

I am so glad to report that last nite I passed a HUGE test for myself, I ate nothing after dinner! I usually stuff my face until I go to be and then don't sleep well. I had a lite dinner of cottage cheese (fat free) and canned peaches (drained and rinsed) and was perfectly satisfied. I did have a piece of cake for dessert tho' - white with chocolate frosting. Celebrating with friends. Still, under my normal calorie intake by about 2500!

Keep on hanging in there ya'll!!! Have a great day.

How the heck are you guys losing so much each week??? I have 150 lbs. to lose and I have only lost 7 in 1 month! I have joined a gym and actually go 2-3 days a week and am doing some kind of exercise (walking or golfing) the rest of the week. I am eating 1500 - 2500 calories per day and it just is NOT coming off. If I can lose 50 lbs., I will actually be given my Mom's Vanagan (camping van made by VW) that is in CHERRY condition. HELP!!

This is fantastic!! My Mom has actually used the first one most of her life, if she has tasted it before, she really doesn't need to taste it again. However, I've tasted and tasted and tasted and just can't seem to get enuf! No fully really! I am going to try some of the other idea tho' Thanks!

I am new to this kind of thing also. I posted a reply yesterday on this and it is lost in cyberspace somewhere. I am well over 200 lbs. but I can definitely relate with the feelings being posted here. I hope I am doing it right this time. I have lost 7 lbs. in a month but now I seem to have lost my steam. I still go to the gym and walk and count calories, but I have no control in the "hand to mouth" dept. and it is really upsetting me, almost feel like giving up - almost! Going golfing tonight so hopefully that will do some motivating.

One thing my trainer and others have told me to NOT weigh myself every day - once a week but preferrably once a month! We can fluctuate just with water weight or because of GS cookies 4 days ago!  Just keep eating right and maybe add 10 - 15 more minutes of exercise. Hang in there

I agree 100% with Katydid22! I am going to try to check in with this posting at least once a day also. New to this kind of thing. Love this site tho' so I am excited to try this out. I weigh well over 200 - closer to 300 and am 5'9". People are noticing I am more active and I have lost 10 pounds so I'm glad to see there are more a little like me out there!
Weight Loss What do you do on days when you just want to munch all day? May 09 2007

Thanks so much for all the good ideas - I had a "munch everything in sight" day on Sunday!  Air popped popcorn and butter spray - great and I happen to have both handy. Veggie and rice cakes and fruit sounds great!
