The responsability should be mine when it comes to sex ed. From what Jules discribed, a visual such as that could freak her out and thats not necessarily what I want. My mom discussed the birds and the bees with by handing me a book after I walked in on her and my father. After that we didn't really talk about it.

The last thing I want is to be a grandmother with a 16 year old mom!! But I want to do the education constructively. There is a special that runs on the History or Discovery about the mircle of pregnancy and I want her to be able to see something like that as part of our converstation, not just the plain facts.

 That makes sense.  I didn't want to wait, so by the time the school started addressing it, Spike probably could have taught the class-  there was already no surprises.

I had an advantage tho that he was 6 when his brother was born, so he was old enough to get a lasting crash course in reproduction.

 There are some issues that you have to deal with when they comes up, like that boy from last year.

Then there are some issues that can wait. Sex doesn't have to be such a scarry thing. There is a beauty in reprodcution and I think that she should be given the opportunity to see that. Its not all about condoms, birth control, and disease prevention.

Okay, funny story.....

I was 13. My found a couple of crumpled up pieces of paper in the pocket of a pair of pants when she was doing laundry. She read it.....I was grounded for 6 months. Ummmm. If she had read the rest of the lurid details in the diary story she would have noted the part about the volcanoes in Hawaii.

I had quite the vivid imagination for a virgin. So much for reading & then trying my hand at writing a "Harlequin Romance" novel.

 If my mother could have been a fly on the inside of my head, I don't think I would have seen the light of day ever again.

Most recently while I was moving she saw a pair of lace to the knee with 7" heel boots I have. She commented on them and I know she is thinking Im into S&M or something like that.
