I still see the fatter version of me although Im 138...

I mean, somedays I notice the difference in my thighs and in pictures, but in the mirrors, it's all the same.

Nothing but a mental disorder that I'm sure alot of dieters experience.

Well...BBQ has ALOT of sodium, I'm not sure about beer.

You're just retaining water, unless you ate 7000 calories yesterday, then you shouldn't worry about anything.

Drink plenty of water and continue the exercise.

The sodium should lower by tomorrow if not the day after.

It's most likely sodium...Drink alot of water and exercise, and tomorrow, you should see results.

Your probably did break the plateau. I did something similar to you and broke mine, I only hope you did.

It's water weight.

Drink ALOT of water to flush the sodium out

And in a day or two, your weight will drop back down.

No need to worry. I've been scared by sodium alot too, that's why  I stay away from it.

When I do eat excess sodium, I don't get on the scale the next day, lol.

Can I join you guys?

I'm OBSESSED at counting calories. And if I eat something (like a small portion of hamburger helper when im at a friends) I give it an estimate, not even below 300 calories (which is high) because I just want to be on the safe side.

I'm planning to break this habit soon enough though. I CAN'T LIVE LIFE LIKE THIS FOREVER.

Eating small meals throughout the day....every 3 hours, 6 small meals a day that meets your caloric intake.

Exercising! (Cardio...Which worked miracles for my metabolism.)

Ahh.

I was about 8 or 9..maybe 10..

I was a boney little kid, HIGH very high metabolism..

So I caught the hives, & at first the doctors misdiagnosed me and I had an allergic reaction to the medicine, so to counteract, I was put on steroids..

My metabolism went down hill from there. :[ maybe 70-80 lbs my lightest,

highest was 230 at age 15, now im 17 @ 139

Don't sweat it. It's tough letting the scale disappoint you.

Your body needed those extra calories, but the weight should come off quicker now...;]

Here's two things I'm offering as advice for you...Choose which one you think will treat you better.

1.) Eat more than you usually consume, but not exactly alot..Maybe a few hundred calories more.

2.) Stop the exercise for a few days, and cut down on your calories a bit...Then continue exercise and eating the proper amount of calories.

They both worked for me!

Its fine!!! Its fine!!

I was 139.8 friday...I stopped dieting and ate what I wanted, which was Taco Bell, a soft beef taco, beef & cheese quesadilla & 7-layer burrito (whoa @ the sodium.)

this morning I was 139.6...So it's fine! As long as you have been doing well, exercising fairly, then you deserve a piece of what you enjoy.

[[dont think i didnt worry about how much sodium & calories of what I ate from Taco Bell, lol, i was worrying the whole night and the day after]]

Seek some motivation...

Food is taken advantage of by many people. If it's in your house it's going to be there the next day, where you can fit it into your new caloric plans. Before you put it in your mouth, think twice about if you really want it or need it.

What's more important...Becoming healthy and adopting a new lifestyle or eating everything in sight?

Become more active, such as doing a 30 minute walk. Drink plenty of water and eat alot of raw veggies and fruit.

I'd rather get all sweaty by a good workout than to pop a pill myself.

By working out and dieting right, you have ALOT to tell and brag about when it comes to weight lost, instead of saying "Oh yeah..I lost 50 lbs by using....A pill."

Hi! I'm experiencing the same situation...I haven't actually aten over 1100 calories in about 3 weeks if not longer...

So last night, I went out to taco bell, and consumed about 1400 calories, and I have already had 395 cals earlier..

It shouldn't be a problem, since if you go over 3500 calories than you consume in a week, then that's a lb...I'm not getting on the scale until monday morning, just to be safe from the sodium. And today, I just had a small serving of hamburger helper and 4 large bananas.

Tomorrow, I'm getting back on track.

So don't be discouraged or worry!!! :) Jump back on track..And besides, we all deserve what we want as long as we just don't continue eating the same the next day and so on.

Well..Avoid the scale tomorrow.

That sodium from those wings and pizza is going to ruin your morning if you're expecting some results.

I've lost 90 lbs...And yes, the skin is noticeable on the front of the thighs, ALOT when I'm lying down or sitting down. I'm 17 though, so all of this "Elastacity for the young age" I hope it's true...

When you're making the cookie dough, just add a bit of mayonnaise and hot sauce.....If that doesn't make you sick, then I don't know what will.

Thanks you guys!! I'm still lazy (lol) but I enjoy to move around, such as being my crazy self and jumping around in the house and dancing...It's so amazing how much more energy you have!

I'll let you all know when I have the before & after pics.

A calorie is just a calorie.

But, the more you eat healthier (Fruits, veggies..) the more you can eat because of the small amount of calories in fruits & veggies.

Hahah..

I have fiber one cereal, rice cakes, health bars, low cal health snacks in my room....So I have the torture of gazing at it everytime i go to my room.."why is it your room?" you may ask...

so my parents and family won't eat my stuff! :D

I try to stay away from the sodium....

Because I know in the morning, after the previous excess sodium consumption, the scale will ruin my day.

Starvation only works for soooo long!!! But it's not cool!

Males need at least 1500 cals

Females need at least 1200 cals..

Your exercise is fine, just up your calories!!! Of course if you're training, when you up your calories, you're going to build bigger muscles (from the protein and vitamons in the extra food you'll be eating.)
