I've always eat in a really abnormal way, all my life i've preferred to eat many small meals in comparison to a few large ones. i also have no schedule to my eating...for 8 mopnths i ate every two hours and that seemed to work perfect for me but with stress and everything lately i've just began eating when im hungry and i stopped calorie counting, which is why i think this has happened. i have a healthy bmi and i eat between (approximately since i dont count anymore) 1800-2400 calories a day. im hopeing i can start counting my calories again and stick to a schedule because i think that's the problem

Well i'm very happy to hear that im not the only one this happens too! hah i thought i had like a problem or something but maybe its more common than i thought, i hope someone knows how to get this to stop though!

ive always been curious if a day would hurt you or not, that's good to know! beacuse i sometimes freak if i worked all day and didnt get the chance to get anything to eat and am left with like 1200 cals for dinner...usually i end up trying to eat all at night because i didnt know what to do!

i have the same problem, it kills me. it makes me very angry with myself but it is something i cannot help! its like a problem in its self...from 3:00-3:30 i eat so much food! like i try everything in the cabinet hahah and eat a little of it all

yes people who don't run often normally get menstrual like pains anytime they run...those who run often only do if they up their speed a bit or run longer...

and ovulation definately could be a possiblity, every few months i'll get ovulation pains and its pretty painful! also, i've heard of women who only release an egg from one side...which could be the case with you

Hit the gym and workout if you feel like binging/purging! Also, it'll definately help with the 12lbs you gained even though some of that is just retained water weight from eatin more and probably is just a fluctuation.

musicalfish- i am ashamed to admit (because i had been doing so well for so long) that i am at the same point you are.  i have gone down a self destructive path of binging and then eating normal then restricting then eating normal then restricting then binging, etc. its been two months now and it's been hell. i wish i could go back to when i was healthy and felt great. now i have gained weight and hate myself for that.  at least you've taken a step in the right direction...i can not see a psychiatrist so i am fighting this battle on my own.  working out seems to help a lot

after a year and a half, people still don't even know i have them! the only people who really do are the people who i eat around (because they see me take them in and out!)

i got a rubberband though (they attached little blocks onto two of my teeth and hooked a rubberband from one tooth to another) and people noticed that but no big deal!

invisalign does not work as well or as quickly as braces but it sure is an amazing alternative to those icky braces!

I've had invisalign for a year a half...let me tell you, its really not a big deal if you have your trays out for more than two hrs...

I keep my trays out from the time I get home from class until after dinner that way I can snack and get my dinner in and my ortho tells me I'm doing a great job.

The few hours with them out doesn't do much as long as your wearing them all night long and for most of the day.

Put straws in your bottled/canned drinks (any sodas or colored vitamin water, etc.) But make sure to take out your trays for any teas or coffees.

Oh, pilates...where do i start! Pilates, with the right instructor, can be a wonderful exercise routine.  For me, it all depends on the instructor...some are better than others. So yes, i can agree that SOMETIMES pilates is in fact worthless, but others...its amazing! In the summer (because i cant go during the school year because im in class) I go to pilates 2-3 times a week and it actually does make a difference.  The legs are defined, the abs are great, and the arms are sculpted :). It's great to incorporate into your normal exercise routine!

any disordered thoughts can lead to ED's. i know i have had problems in the past with disordered thoughts and sometimes they can be just as bad as the thoughts that the severly ill ppl with ED's have...yet i was at a healthy weight then and no one knew how i felt. remember, looks arent everything! even in the case of ED's!

i binge frequently during pms weeks as well of when im emotionally unstable. the way i think of it is...one binge won't hurt, so dont fret. the next time i feel a binge coming on, if it's in the same week or whatever i just say, no whyy would i do this, im not even hungry! and i just go do something else to keep me busy. its about self-control and being aware of what your doing!

gi-jane, your post was very accurate until you got to one part...my friend. i was not lying about my friend and please dont accuse me of that... my friend is very ill right now and as been to three doctors already. she has nothing left to her body, unlike me who has done her best to battle this. i have had a very very hard home life but yet dealt with all the difficulties overcoming this issue with food. so please, id really appreciate it if you did not criticize my posts concerning my old best friend...because of her ED we have been unable to stay best friends but i still care a lot about her...

my brother had this condition as well. it started off not too bad but worsened over time. he had to see a doctor and had to go to quite a few to figure out the problem. he eventually had to be put on steriods. i believe its from malnutrition (he eats, but is extremely thin, he's one of those fast food eaters thats tiny).

hmmm...

-lose the two lbs i gained since school started

well hello friends! and yes thats fine if you all join! i was just trying to get a ballpark range of ppl gathered for a group because i was kinda tired of always wanting to post in a group and never have one :-P. haha sooo

berrykiss012-i sorta workout the same as you! i alternate what i do...always incorporate some sort of run (sprints or just a normal run) plus another form of cardio (usually the elliptical, bike, or stepper) and then i lift and do legs, arms, and ab exercises!

so everyone, hows it going?

yeah well...im not really the safest or best driver haha, and thats what my boyfriends for :) and my best friends haha they drive me everywhere and they really dont mind because im never outta the way to pick up. but awh i always wanted a personal trainer but i've learned my own workouts from observing others :P

why do i want to be skinny...because when i was younger i was "the skinny girl" because i'm used to the skinny comments because i loved my skinny clothes because i was meant to be skinny!

same! on an average day i eat 1500 sometimes a little less, sometimes a little more :) i used to work out 6 days a week but now with the winter its become like 3-4 :/ and it makes me so sad (im not allowed to drive in the snow so i cant drive to the gym) BUT im gonna try to make my parents take me up more :) cuz i loveee workin out! p.s. i dance too! but not much anymore
