| Young Calorie Counters | the last 10 pounds? | Mar 19 2008 17:59 (UTC) |
|
| Answering your first question, yes, it is harder to lose the "last 10 pounds" because your body has gotten so used to your daily routine that it has settled itself, and this means your metabolism has therefore hit a plateau.
In other words, a slim person, just wanting to lose that last 10 pounds, will find it much harder than a larger person, at, say 200lbs, because the larger person is suddenly giving their metabolism a great big boost. Secondly, to answer your next question, yes, it takes time. You will not see instant results. And also remember that muscle weighs more than fat, so even if you're not losing weight, you are toning up your body. |

| Ok, so I haven't read all the posts but this is my advice;
As I was watching TV one day, this weird skin program came on. It said that if you are dieting and trying to lose weight, the last places that will lose the weight will be your thighs, stomach and hips. So even if you don't see a difference yet, in a few weeks time you'll look great. And you are actually at a healthy weight at the moment. |
