| I've been away for a while (only peeking in to this thread now and then), but I haven't stopped thinking about you and praying for you and your family. I'm anxious to hear what comes of the People's Court tape.
Thanks for keeping us posted Shannon. |

I was just wondering about the passport... Before that lady told you he showed his passport for ID, had you told her he didn't have his wallet? It seems like such a powerful lead. |

| I've been diligent for 7 months about logging calories, but have decided to give myself a break from Thanksgiving through Christmas, and probably New Years.
Right now, I'm only logging during the week. On the weekends I try to be careful, but I'm not going to log my foods... too much work... and too discouraging. After 7 months of keeping track, I have a good idea of how many calories are in most foods I eat. |

| Yes, what this woman did was horrible. It's dispicable that an adult would harrass a child at all or call them names, but I'm confused by what some of you think she is guilty of. Be careful how far you want the law to cross over into your speech and/or thoughts. | |||

Santa Contest
Split into two groups. Give each group a 10' roll of red paper, a 3' roll of black paper, a roll of tape, a bag of pillow stuffing, and scissors. Send each group into a private area where they will choose one team member to be Santa. Give them 15 minutes to put their Santa together. You be the judge as to who the winner is. We've also done it with Green Paper and strings of beads and markers to make a Christmas Trees. Either way was a lot of fun.You could put together a Jeopardy Game with topics like "Christmas Carols," "Traditions," "Foods," "Manger," etc. There are lots of quizzes available on line. |

| I love Christmas music and the whole Christmas season. Everyone seems so cheery. I know there are those that say it's depressing, but it just seems people are more friendly this time of year. Ok, back on topic... There are a few songs I can't stand.
#1 All time worst - "All I Want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth"... UGH! #2 "Do They Know It's Christmas Time" - These artistis are probably the same people that complain that Christmas is too materialistic, but this song implies without money you can't enjoy Christmas - Maybe they need to watch The Grinch. "It came without ribbons! It came without tags! It came without packages, boxes or bags! ... Maybe Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. Maybe Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more!" Oh and "thank God it's them" ...now that's the Christmas spirit (sarcasm!) |

Shannon, has anyone looked around home for his passport to confirm the possibility of this lead? I am so hopeful with this. Thanks for keeping us up to date. I will continue to pray. |

| HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! (Even to you, my Canadian friend!) Just want to tell you all I'm thankful for the friends I've made here. Most of all you have inspired me to spend more time with the Lord. I am happy to say that since our first challenge, in June, I have only missed 2 days reading my Bible, and both of those were because I had to get out the door for church (ironic, huh?) I know we've all been really busy, and the next month only holds more, but hopefully someday we can regroup. In the meantime let's try to keep in touch. |

| Might not hurt to try again... Maybe the lack of leads might draw some attention from AMW.
The "Blue Eyed" Chris doesn't look 34 and certainly doesn't look 44. Ok, Shannon said it wasn't him, and she would know better than any of us... But it does look suspiciously close. (Note the comment: "9 more weeks") I think in regard to the one known myspace account, the "SO UR MOVING WITH HER!" comment was in regard to his girlfriend. I seem to remember they had just moved in together shortly before he went missing. |

| See that Pam? I was right... you need to check out Beth Moore... Fruits of the Spirit, Humorous... right up your alley. Homework... ugh! That's why I've taken a break from my Women's Bible Study (which would've been Beth Moore). I need time at home, with this being my son's Senior year. My hubby and I are (supposed to be) in a couple's bible study, which has no homework. (We've had a scheduling conflict every week so far.) | |||

| Hey Pam... Didn't see you pop in there. You've got to check out Beth Moore. She's awesome!
And don't be insulted when people only lurk, but don't post. Sometimes the brain power (not to mention the time) to formulate your words is daunting. I can't mention how many times I've started typing something, and had second thoughts about how/what I was saying or whatever, so I just deleted it and went on to the next thing. |

| Hi there Ladies!
Lolo - I'm still praying for you and your housing situation, but don't put your trust in any of us. Your life is in God's hands. Let Him direct your path. Dili - I'm glad to see you're trusting your life in the hands of God (Ha! That kind of makes it sound optional.) I just replied to your PM. Pam - For fear of sounding like the boss of this thread, I've purposely stayed away, but when you guys are here it's so much more enjoyable to have discussions, rather than just one sided conversations. Deb - So, good to see you checking back in! Sounds like things are going well for you and your family. Perhaps the break you took did you all some good. I do miss hearing about your kids and their activiities. |

| Hi There everyone! Just popping in to see how everyone is doing.
We studied from 2 Timothy 2:1-7, at church today. "You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. And also if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules. The hardworking farmer must be first to partake of the crops. Consider what I say, and may the Lord give you understanding in all things."This week we focused on the "soldier." His priority is to please his commanding officers. Obedience is not a step to obtain something. It is an outward expression of the heart. It is not optional to obey, and we can not be selective in what we will submit to God. When Adam and Eve decided it was up to them to discover for themselves what was good or evil, they determined they knew what was right or wrong and that God was no longer the ultimate authority. I think next week the focus will be on the athlete, so I want to have my kids come with us rather than Youth Church. |

| First, I want to say welcome to CC to vintage. I see you just joined today. I've been here since May... hardly makes me an expert, but...
Anyway, my comment on your post... I've recently been studying what the Bible says is healthy (for our bodies). Actually, I just (re)read the book "What the Bible Says About Healthy Living." I find the more I get to know the Lord the more I see how He has a devine plan for our lives. God is more concerned about my inner being, what's happening in my heart, than in my flesh, but the more I concern myself with my heart and soul, the more I concern myself with my health. By no means, though do I judge another persons heart by what's going on on the outside. God's Word is filled with truth for every aspect of our lives. Ah, but it seems you know that. |

| Like bigpink, I've been trying to eat better. I do slip quite a bit, but when it comes to eating healthy, I don't expect to get much nourishment from processed food, but like I said I do still eat them, knowing all processed foods are junk food.
So, I'm not an expert, but I do know with bread or pasta, if it's not made with whole grains, it's enriched. Whole grain is far more nourishing than enriched. Never is enriched better. It just makes it sound like they've made it healthy, but all enriched bread is depleted of necessary nutrients.
