Hey there ladies, I am sorry for being gone so long but have been gone with Navy business doing travel and school. The best school I have been to my whole career..... RETIREMENT transition assistance program!!!! I do not know of anything else the Navy has for me over the next couple of months, but you never know. I am back for now, and will be hitting the gym hard for the next couple of weeks. Later, Papa |

Yes, I am still on the mend! This past week I was all the way up to the "heavy" weights on 4.5 lbs! It will take me about a year and a half to get back to full strength. My knee still every now and then will "remind" me that it is not as strong as it once was, but all in all I am doing well. You keep going with yours too, and we will get back to 100% about the same time! I am by no means going to push mine more than my body will allow me too. Have a great weekend. Papa |

Sorry about not being on to much this week ladies, I have been running around like a chicken with my head cut off. This has been my week...... 4am - wake up Dont get me wrong I love the little buggers! This is my fourth year doing camp and it is a blast but being 1 of the BIG 4 it turns into more than just showing up for the 4 hours the program is on. I have even been told this year by one boy that I am his favorite leader! Bad part of that is both his parents are Scout leaders! Makphl - Hey there! I enjoied it very much and it has only wet my appetite to move back there. PT is going good, I was realeased yesterday "under my own recognizance" I have to keep doing the same exercises but I can now do them on my own. Keep up the C25K and I know you will be running a 10k soon after! Lili - Hello and Welcome back! I believe we were team mates in BLC9. Summer = Comfort = Chips/BBQ/Beer! = Bad Juju! It is the same for me. I am starting back on the logging AND MEASURING of my food, just to keep myself in practice and giving myself a little reality check. See I am the second choice you listed.... I like my food, so I HAVE to work out. Efish - Hello and you are always welcome here. Don't just check in, get comfortable, kick your feet up, and PLEASE provide any input you want. If you need encouragement we're here, if you need motivation we got it (I am 6'2", 275 and I have a set of boots that need a good shine every now and then!) I can cyberly give you a kick in the backside if need be. Yes, it does work both ways, I need one every now and then so you feel free to do the same for me! Rocconess - You sound like me, I had knee surgery in Nov 08, and then blew my bicep tendon in April 09! But I am happy to say through both of them I held my weight somewhat stable! I am back in the gym again, just can't LIFT as much as before the last injury! Kirie - We have both been busy! Pain (as long as it is not lingering) is just the body telling you "Hey, Jack***, don't do that again!" It has been getting less and less the more I work on it. I am just glad you can't see my old pictures.... you say your a nerd, nah, I was the nerd! All I needed was the tape on the center of my glasses and I would have been ready for the leading role in "Revenge of the Nerds" All my tats can be covered also, I have a Native American armband on left arm, Heart with two teddy bears on left chest, My sons portrait on right chest, and a dragon on right shoulder. I will go in and post a couple of them in my gallery. Getting ready to get my fifth.... a Mariners Cross, it is half Anchor and half Cross. My mom bought my a pendant before I went to boot camp and it has been with me every sense, now that I am getting ready to retire I am going to get it put on my calf with "Watched over me, sailing the stormy seas" written above and below it. Jill - You can and I know you will! I have been stuck at 20 pounds from my goal (due to injuries) for close to a year now! Well, this guy has no advice for you on the nursing part, but I do agree with you on grabbing the glass of water before hitting the fridge. My wife used to get pissed that she could never lose weight and complained that she always felt stuffed when she woke up. Well, one night I stayed awake to keep an eye on her....... she was eating in her sleep! She got out of bed, walked into the kitchen and somehow without making ANY noise fixed a meal, AND cleaned up. Supposedly she didn't remember it, but she went to a doctor for it and it now only happens when she gets extremely stressed. Tamji - Number three the way we all are now days is going to be the hardest! Good goals and welcome back to C-C! No gain is a victory in my eyes! NO APOLOGIES HERE! You do what you can do and nothing more! The first time I apologized for something I had a two paragraph explaining why not to apologize. If you make it through the week and you reach all your goals and don't post a loss..... SO WHAT! You reached your goals! That is step one, the weight will come off, just maybe not as quickly as what most of us wish it would! This is a little longer post than normal, but then again I do ramble! Talk to ya later ladies, gotta get back to work. Papa |

I agree with BHMoore on this one...... DO NOT GIVE UP!!!!!! All you need to do is read my bio to see perseverance. This challenge is based on teams, but I do not accept apologies, do what you can do and nothing more. If you gain one week, don't fret, you will lose it the next week. If you don't log your food or exercise for a day or two, jump right back into it with renewed vigor! The long range goal here is as individual as each one of us that make up the team (aka FAMILY) We are all here to make a change in ourselves, not for a team! I challenge myself among my teammates at the same time as we challenge the other teams! Last but not least is we are all here to encourage and motivate each other! I know that if I can make it through everything that I have and am still here doing my best to reach MY personal goal of 100lbs lost then anyone can. Papa |

Hey ladies, I guess once again I am the only guy in the group! No problem I can handle being surrounded by women! Kirie - I am trying to be as optomistic as I can, even though every time I go to physical therapy it hurts like *&^&*%! I will come through all this and be better for it. I can say at least I haven't gained that much over the last 9 months and two surgeries. Ok, I have to ask, since your reward for hitting 140 is a tattoo. What is it going to be? I currently have 4 and getting ready to get the 5th! Me personnally I think you look great in your picture! Jill - Watching what you eat should be the hard part! The exercising is the easy part with a 6 month old! Always on the go! Is this your first? If so, just wait till he learns how to walk! Then you will be running everywhere! I am still chasing my 12 year old. The weekends tend to be my downfall to (especially during the summer!) but I try not to eat past 630-7pm every night. We can all do what we set our minds to do! If you need someone who understands better than anyone about weight loss then you can talk to me, or if you need a shoulder to cry on, someone to beat on, someone to vent to, etc.... then I am here for ya. Talk to y'all later! Papa |

Hey there Kirie, I remember you from other BLC's! This is like my fifth one, and hopefully my first one without an injury. I have had two surgeries in the past 9 months that have really taken their toal on my work out routine. I am three months out from a bicep tendon tear so the weights will be at a minimum this challenge but I am still busting my bum in the gym doing aerobic activity. Thanks for starting the thread for the team, and hopefully we will have a very active group this challenge. Well good luck to you and to all our teammates! Talk to ya later. Papa |

Hey there ladies, MD - From all of your pictures I would have never guessed you age. I figured you were about 35. Can I say that when I saw your pic in the bikini and now that you gave me your age, all I can think of is the "Bowflex" commercial..... I am a grandma of 50 and wearing a bikini. Sorry about making you blush, but you look great in your bikini and I dont care what any of you say, YOU ARE ROCKIN THE KINI!!!! EVOO is great and gives everything a little added flavor. Frozen yogurt and sorbet are also good alternatives. Even shaved ice with a few fresh fruits added is good too. The competition thing got me today, I had already done 20 minutes on my "skating" machine and then wanted to end with a nice run on the ellitical well a girl and guy side by side on the treadmill were running about a 7 MPH clip and I ended up doing almost 2 miles in 15 min and burnt about 500 cals. Now my knees are sore, but they will be fine by tomorrow morning. Physical Therapy today was painful, they added another 30 reps. So I did the 90 the way I have been doing for the last three weeks, then added the extra 30 with half the weight and it killed me. The last 30 reps: start position of reverse curl, twisting through a hammer curl and end up with preacher curl, and reverse on the way back down. Good hurt and ended with a 10 minute deep tissue massage on the scar and healing area. I will end up back at the command I just checked out of. Jodifer - I am going back home to Arkansas to see family. I am staying at the same base as I have been at for the last three years. Hey there is nothing that says I can't high five family members right, I am here to cheer EVERYONE on, even a baby girl learning to go potty by herself! I finallly found the active game for Wii at the local Wally World and asked for it for Father's day. I don't know if I will get it since she bought me tickets back home for me and my son, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Malone - I don't know how many of you have read my profile but a little info about me. Currently I am 6'2" and 270 lbs and I am the RUNT of my blood family. The biggest I know of is 7'4" and 490, so I am doing very good by staying at 270 or below. keep an eye on it and you will be fine with the LDL and HDL. The more you exercise the more you will raise your HDL so every step counts. Just remember that and you will be fine. Have a great night ladies, |

Hey there ladies, how are y'all doin today? Me, feeling like everything is spinning! They have finally figured out where I am going to be working for the next two years, but are dragging their heals getting me there! Going on leave (vacation for you nonmilitary type!) tomorrow afternoon and trying to get everything done before then! Malone - How is the weight loss now about 5 days later? Kirie - I know Roseburg, stationed down in the Bay area for 3 years back in the early 90's. MD - Ok, your only going to hear this ONCE!!!! Jumping around doing the happy dance for MD and her 5K! AWESOME! It's the compition factor! You are out there with everyone else and you subconsciencely try and beat them. I do it all the time running on the ellitical, if someone in front of me is going at a higher step rate than me, I end up matching them sooner or later. Jodifer - Giving your baby girl a high five! Small steps is better than no steps! Well, ladies I need to get back to work. I will check back in later. Have a great day! Papa |

Hey ladies, Malone - I thought the same thing, but when I tried it I did start losing again. Now I am over my two surgeries and on a jump start again. No more than 1500 cals a day and work out 6 days a week. Started that this past week and have one more to go. Then I will go back up to around 2000-2200 cals a day, more if I have a good long hard work out. This site told me to lose weight I needed to eat in excess of 4000 cals a day! I could not eat 4000 cals a day if I had to! I normally stay under 2500 cals a day and I fill full all day long. Kirie - What part of Oregon? My wife was born and raised in Oregon City, and her parents now live in Beaverton. Have a great trip! Jodifer - Truthfully you can lose 4 lbs of water weight in ONE day! When I hit the gym hard I can walk in at say 274 and walk out at 270. Just numbers I pull outta my head. I just have to remember to drink enough water to replentish what I lost at the gym. Ok, now on to the potty training. My son is autistic, so my battle was ten times longer. He was not fully trained until about the age of 8. I will put it to you this way, if he did not potty train when he did we would have been doing laundry every day. It was only #2, but that was enough. He finally learned that it felt better if he went potty in the toilet instead of in his pants. So if you guys get them to potty train at three good on ya! Next, heart rate monitors, I have a Mio watch/HRM/stopwatch! It is awesome. I, like Makphl look at mine all the time when at the gym (mine just died, no juice from battery right now) The one I have you can wear at all times and is water resistant. I do not know which model it is, but it is red and black. The thing I like about it is that I DO NOT HAVE TO WEAR THE CHEST STRAP!!!!!! I need to get back to work now, talk to you ladies later! Hey there ladies, Sorry, I wasn't around yesterday. Been busy at work, trying to cover two commands at the same time. Missjaylene - I agree with MD, plan everything out and it is easier to stick to. A big glass of water 15 minutes before a meal helps, it really does. I have adopted the mantra "Write it before you bite it" write down the info before you eat it and on more than one occation it has curbed how much I actually eat. (you can always go back and change the calorie intake after your done) Keep the attitude the way it is and you WILL do it! MD - Congrats on the PT'ing through the "laziness". As you can see from above I am having to help cover BOTH commands right now because my old command did not get a replacement for me. I think the new command is realizing they made a deal and they are going to HAVE to stick to that deal. I will be looking for the notification for the half! When I go for Mongolian BBQ, I sub cabbage for the noodles and I tell the cook NO OIL! That way I am getting nothing but the goodness of the veggies, and the natural oil of the meats (mainly Chicken). Spaghetti squash is AWESOME!!!!! I put a little green enchillada sauce over it with some green chilis and it makes an great side dish. Malone - Ok, what I am about to say has been told to me more than once. Maybe you are not eating ENOUGH! I know I dropped to no more than 1500 cals a day for about 2 months and dropped 45 pounds, but then when I went back up to approx 2200 cals and burning about 3000 a day I found the more I excerised the more I needed to eat. If I went on a day hike with the scouts I had to eat about 3000-3300 cals a day. When I adjusted that way I started losing again. The reasoning behind this is if you are not taking in enough your body will start STORING energy by going into starvation mode. You may feel you are overwhelmed, yes, but take it one day, one task at a time and things will be back to normal in no time. YOU ARE NOT FALLING APART! I can promise you that..... I have been through two major surgeries in the past 6 months. Knee and elbow! If I can make it through that you can do it too! I have faith in you!!!! Again, no apologies, if you are doing you can, then you ARE contributing to our team! The scales go up and the scales go down, as long as you are making healthier choices then you ARE winning for the long hual! Betzc - You are absolutely right! Change up your routine everyday! Run one day, bike, then elliptical low angle, elliptical high angle..... Your body does get used to doing the same thing every day, change is good! Makphl - I guess you and I are both HRM junkies! I check mine about every two minutes when I go hard on the aerobics! You are right about the elliptical the higher the incline the higher the heart rate (even though it seems easier!) Ok, ladies, I am signing off for the night! Everyone keep your head up and you eyes on YOUR goal! As long as you do that you CAN and WILL achieve everything you want! Papa

MD - My "skating" machine looks and acts kinda like the elliptical but instead of going forward and back. Start position is center, then as you move from side to side, your foot travels out to the side and back at the same time. If you remember when you were a kid or if you still go now, the motion your feet make when you are skating is the motion of this machine. Hence "skating" machine! I can tell you this...... IT HURTS!!!!! but in a good way. Works your abuctors and adductors at the same time. My downfall is Mogolian BBQ! Though I have swapped the noodles for cabbage, and I now load up with more veggies than meat. Used to use very little veggies and a whole lot of noodles and meat. The new command is just upset that the old command didn't tell them about it and took it out on me. I will end up back at the old command in the end, and will more than likely retire from there. I can tell you I am far from being in the shape I could be in, but I am in the best shape (even with the injuries) I have been in for almost 10 years now. If I just go in to work out I normally go with resistance 9/10, for 30 - 60 minutes. Depending on the day is how hard I hit it, but I always keep the steps per minute above 130 steps. One of these days you just may do a half, and when you do I will be looking for my invite to come watch! You have a great weekend and your welcome! |

Well, ladies, it's almost half over and we are still in there! From what I saw we missed a few weigh in's this week. Use a little peer pressure and get everyone to weigh-in next week. Let's keep our heads up and hit it hard for the final four weeks! We all did very well this week! Way to go ladies, the green team ain't that bad! We have the intimidation factor....... we are the BLACK family and we WILL NOT back down!!!! Hit it and hit it hard the next couple weeks and we can pull this off! Later ladies, |

Hey there Ladies, I am glad everyone had a great weekend last weekend! The BBQ we were going to have turned into a bust! I HAD THE WHOLE VEGGIE TRAY TO MYSELF!!!!! I still have left overs. I think I did eat one to many brats though! This week has been heck at work, I transferred to a new command and was supposed to go right back to my old command. That is a long story in itself. Well when I checked in they changed thier minds and wanted to keep me, but after my elbow surgery I cannot work on aircraft so they were ticked with me. I told my old command what they were trying to do, and they are fighting now to get me back. Malone - Ok, I am jealous now, wish I could go camping more than I do, but the wife thinks camping is in a trailor, but I like the tent and sleeping pad, so we don't go that often. (That will change when I retire, if I have to I will go by myself.) Jodifer - Hope your tummy is feeling better by now! I only wish I could do a 5K, but with the bad knees I need to build them back up a little before trying to run again. MD - Japanese is not all bad, just the stuff covered in the sauces! Sushi/Sashimi is great for you! has everything you need in a nice little roll! Being in the Navy I have had to be as quick as a 10 min 1.5 miles! That was way back in boot camp 18 years ago though, but still now at almost 40 I still have to run 1.5 in under 14:30. I get the repreve by running it on the elliptical, only thing with that is I have to burn a minimum of 240 cals in 12 minutes! Can you say level 18 for the whole 12 minutes! Kirie - .2 pounds is nothing, you can do it! Pre-load on the good stuff and have it handy! I find that always works! Veggie trays save the day too, and you will be surpried at how many people will pick off of that instead of chips! Alcohol is another story...... key is moderation! If you have a drink, finish it and then drink a full 16 oz of water, then have another drink! The water helps in two ways, keeps you from drinking so much alcohol and wont allow you to eat too much! WATER IS NATURES DIET FOOD!!!! Makphl - I can fully understand the knee issues, had knee surgery last Nov. Good to hear about the weekend eating, and you are welcome for the advice! As long as you had a good time the bevvies you worked off during the hike. The elbow is coming along nicely. Great job this week ladies, I believe over all we all did very well over a long holiday weekend with all the BBQ and Bevvies! Let's kick it into HIGH GEAR for the final four weeks and win this thing! Later Ladies, |

Hey Ladies, Malone - If you started lifting from never lifting before that may be true, especially if you are using heavier weights. If you are using lighter weights it could still be true if you notice your muscles being much more defined. You are not way off, when I started lifting three days a week back in late 99, I had 16" arms, 45" chest and a 15" neck, and three years later in late 02 I was at 19.5" arms, 53" chest and a 21" neck, but stayed the same weight of 240lbs. I had not lifted weights since high school and had a trainer that pushed me hard! I have since had to start special ordering my dress uniforms for the Navy. jodifer - The same trainer above wanted me to enter an amateur body building compitition with her as a team, but I did not think I was cut enough. Still had the stomach there and you could not see my abs. Great job on your run, after the knee surgery I find I can not run as comfortably as I used to be able to. Now, I am trying to get back into running but I am taking baby steps getting back into it. Well, for me I am down another 2 pounds this week so I am hoping that I can break back into the 260's by the end of this challenge. Keep after me y'all and I will do my best. Let's all start talking it up and we will all lose a bunch of weight! Later Ladies, Papa |

Hey Ladies, SweetJuney - You are Welcome! Always keep your head up and your shoulders back and hit LIFE full in the face! Jodifer - I guess I get to Patriarch by default huh!? No problem I will be here for my girls! I find clothing is the best indicator when it comes to losing or not. I keep my belt from when I weighed 350 and wear it everyday with my uniform as a reminder of how far I have come. (it is well over 12 inches from when I started my weight loss journey 3 years ago.) Jachid2 - Thanks for chimming in, there is onen place you forgot to get a measurement and the only reason why I noticed is because my wife has me help her when she takes that measurement. Breasts, she says that they are the last place to go, but she can tell they are smaller now that in Jan when she started her journey. (I pissed her off to get her started, you can read it in my profile). I have been doing this for over 3 years now and about every three or four months I will take out all my measureing cups/spoons and start measuring things out again. It helps "remind" you what a cup of this or a Tbsp of that looks like on your plate or in your hand. Never put them up and tell yourself you don't need them anymore. Keep up the great work! Kirie - NEVER STOP MOVING!!!!! I have gotten into trouble with my doctors after both of my surgeries, because I wouldn't stop moving. I had knee surgery back in Nov 08, and was back in the gym three weeks after it happened using the elliptical and bike. The elbow was much more painful so it took about a month before getting back in the gym, again the elliptial and bike. If for no other reason but to keep my cardiovascillar (my spelling is horrid!) endurance up. Both thimes though the doctors have told me to sit and not do anything for at least two months! I told them there was no way I could not do ANYTHING for that long. For me 1-2 pounds is nothing sometimes my goes 5 pounds either way. Mon is was 282 and today I was 273.5, if it would stay within 1-2 I would be happy. Makphl - Phys Therapy went go, and I can tell you this with lifting only 2 lbs, I FELT IT THIS MORNING!!! I did not want to move my arm it hurt so bad. I get to go do it all over again tomorrow! If it is pain from making myself just the least bit stronger and closer to being 100 % again, I am good with it. Don't get me wrong I DO NOT believe in the "No Pain, No Gain" slogan, but a little pain after the work out, it just reminds you that the muscle is there and is working. Well, ladies I will check in a little later after I get home and weigh in again. I am hoping for another 2 pound loss this week. Anyway, KEEP MOVIN!!! Papa P.S. Sorry these posts get wordy at times. |

Hey Ladies, Kirie - Thank you for the well wishes! Don't worry about the weight gain. It happens every time you excercise. The muscles absorb water to help repiar themselves, and the sunburn also causes water retention. I am also going to say the same thing I have always been told, NO APOLOGIES! You do what you can and if it's you best then that is all I ask (I can only speak for myself here). As long as you are moving and getting you excercise in and doing good on your nutrition then you are doing all the right things and soon enough it will come back off. Jodie - I do stay busy (makes time go by quicker) and about once every couple of weeks there will be a morning or two that I just don't want to get out of bed. The more I excercise the more energy I have. Ok, I will tell you the same thing about the weight loss, your body retains a little water when you work out. Keep going and it will come off. Thanks for the info on the electric mower, my wife and I have decided that when we have the money saved that is what we are going to get. Malone - Your welcome, that is one thing I try to do for everyone. Ok, FIRST DONT YOU DARE GIVE UP!!!!! I WILL NOT LET YOU!!!! Your statement here got me when I first started I thought the same thing, but if you think about a POUND of fat weight THE SAME as a POUND of muscle. The muscle just takes up LESS ROOM! Do not go on weight alone, start measuring to and you will see the change. Juney - Welcome to the Family, I dont like team to impersonal, to me this is a family for the next eight weeks (or longer if we want it too be.) Alaska huh, one place I have always wanted to visit, but haven't had the chance yet. My wife was stationed up there before out in Adak, one of the last little islands in the tail (if you didn't know that already, that is) You can do as many exercises indoors as you can outdoors, its just not as fun or scenic (especially in Alaska). As long as you keep your awesome outlook on LIFE then you will do fine! Ok, ladies, here is the theme for our FAMILY! As long as you do what you can do I (again speaking for myself) could care less about the competition! We are here to encourage, motivate, and if needed give a proverbial KICK IN THE PANTS to each other, and as long as we make strides to make OUR lives better however small we have won OUR COMPETITION! So no apologies will be accepted..... do what you can and if you feel better overall , YOU HAVE WON!!! and WE HAVE WON!!!!! Ok, I am gonna step down off my soapbox now! Later Ladies, Papa..... MD - Yep, 90% and it hurt like H**l! My wife said that she heard some four letter words the she had never heard before escape my lips that day. I start physical therapy with weights tomorrow. I hope to be down a couple more pounds by Thur. I have been doing mostly aerobic since I cant handle weights. Well, my new command has no choice but to send me back to my old command, it was actually work out at a much HIGHER level than what I am. My old boss worked it out with my new boss that he would send me back to keep doing the same job that I have been doing for the last three years. (If you want to see it, I posted pictures in my gallery.) Jodifer - Nothing out of the norm for me though. It is always full of stuff to do. My own stuff mixed in with my son keep me busy all week. Bowling two days a week, swimming one day, Scouts normally two days a week, then whatever we plan for the weekend! And that does not even include the time spent at work! It should start slowing up a little swimming is almost over, and bowling ends next saturday for the summer. I am hoping I blow through the 270's and hit the 260's in the next couple of weeks. Later Ladies,

Ok, ladies, I'm back after a week from h**l! I have been on transfer leave (vacation) and was told by my old command that I HAD to come in to work one day. That on top of trying to get ready to check into my new command. Plus, weighed yesterday but forgot to post until this morning. Had a good week all together 2 lbs down. Long story made short....... Mar 2006 - started out at 350 lbs, after three years light and limited in the Navy, Mar 2007 - 330 lbs. and this is after a year working with trainers at the gym, weight watchers, and nutritionists. Late Mar 2007 - Said **** it and sat down and made out my own work out and diet schedule. Went drastic, no more than 1500 cals a day for two months and work outs 6 days a week. Jun 2007 - 290 lbs. bumped back to 2000 cals, and still 6 work outs a week. Jan 2008 - 270 lbs. still at 2000 cals, 6 days a week, moving fat to muscle. Mar 2008 - 270 lbs. knee injury playing softball. Mar - Nov 08 - Physical Therapy and everything else under the sun before the Navy would acutally do the surgery. Dec 08 - 275 lbs. started back at the gym, got in trouble by the doc for trying to push it to hard, but told him that I WAS NOT going back to a physical therapy clinic that was having me do "wall seats" two weeks after surgery. April 1, 2009 - down to 268 lbs. (under 20 lbs to personal goal of 100 lbs lost) April 5, 2009 - Tore my left bicep tendon 90% of the way off the bone. Went in for emergency surgery 3 days later, and spent 3 weeks away from work not being able to do anything. May 1, 2009 - got back to the gym (again aginst doc orders, I am not supposed to do ANYTHING until Mid Jun, yeah right!) May 15, 2009 - down two pounds from last week, and getting ready to go drastic again. (If you want to whole story its on my profile) I see a lot of you ladies just doing aerobic excersices, I can tell you this the weight comes off quicker when you add weights into the mix. You do not have to lift heavy weights or worry about "bulking up" all you need to do is lift lighter weights but with more reps. Lifting this way tightens and tones the muscle structure you already have, but does not make it any larger. Me, I will not be able to even come close to lifting what I was lifting before the elbow injury for at least a year and a half, according to the docs anyway. So I will have to rely on working the lower half of the body and the large groups on the upper half that dont require any pushing/pulling of weight. My doc told me the best way for me to start building back up to lifting is by grabbing a large can/bottle of spaghetti sauce, you might be laughing right now, but I can tell you it puts more strain on your muscle than what you think, right now I can barely do 10 reps with one. let's all get out there and start hittin it hard! Push yourself to do one more rep, or one more minute of areobic, put the fork down one bite earlier or drink one more glass of water! We are in this together and we can do it. Let's pull together and help each other through it. Later Ladies, |

How come I’m not losing weight?
Your workout routine is commendable but you are eating too many calories to lose weight. 1500-1700 calories a day is more like a maintenance... Read more
