Great job everyone on the weight loss!!

Every summer, I want to lose my "winter weight". I only achieve that at the end of the summer! Do any of you experience this?! I won't complain because atleast I lose it...but it sucks that it happens when I don't wear a bathing suit anymore!

Toniahayes: I have been wanting to buy a food scale for such a long time! After reading your post, now I really want one!

I caved this morning and weighed myself. I am down 5lbs! I am now at 120lbs. This made my day!

Hello ladies!

I apologize for my lack of posting. I have been really busy this summer!

I just got a gym membership at my work so I have been going at lunch. That solves my problem of never wanting to work out when I get home! I have also cut down on my portions and don't really eat junk except for the occasional slip! I haven't weighed myself in a while but I feel good in my clothes, which counts a lot!

Good job trixitrix!

My problem is i'm motivated in the day but as soon as I get home I don't want to do anything. I will try my best though. You girls motivate me when I read these posts!

Good job amyb and toniahayes! I am happy to hear things are going well for you!

I on the other hand have completely lost any motivation that I had. I haven't worked out in 3 weeks and have been eating really bad.

I'm that girl who can't say no these days. I miss the girl who used to be able to say no to chips at 10pm! I'm back where I was two years ago: not exercising and eating bad and not being able to help it. AH!

Yesterday:

breakfast - raspberries and watermelon

lunch - crackers and left over pork tenderloin

dinner- broccoli, zucchini, turkey stir fry with rice + hot and sour soup.

This forum is great for helping us keep on track! Whenever I feel like a binge, I can come on here and be reminded that I am not alone!

Yesterday - Ate well and little during the day since I was meeting friends for dinner. We went to a restaurant where you select your food then they cook it all together (Mongolian Village). Anyway, I loaded up on veggies and lean protein - turkey. It was really good!

Hi everyone, I was away for the weekend and didn't have a computer!

Dievans, toniahayes- thank you for checking in. Since the wedding I have been eating quite a bit more than usual. You would think that having to be in a bathing suit would motivate me but it doesn't. Instead I just don't go swimming. Which is sad. So, today I started off well. It's a new day and a new week. I hope I can eat well and stay motivated this week!

Amyb3517 - I think whoopass is in order! Hahaha! I defenitely need a kick in the bum!

Goal for today - eat 1250 calories. Climb stairs.

Butterfly - you don't look like you weigh what you say you weigh! so be glad! I am 5'4 and 123 lbs and look like I weigh 20 lbs more than you!!!

Oh man, the last couple of weeks have been really bad. Can't control what I eat and don't exercise.

I also agree about the naked thing. I look ok in my clothes but naked or bathing suit...not so much. Damn hips and thighs!

Nalani5 welcome! - 130lbs after 5 kids! That's pretty good!

Didn't weigh myself today but will do tomorrow if I remember!

Stayed within calorie goal yesterday -went to the movies and didn't buy popcorn!

Today - goal: 1200 calories!

About the 1-3lbs per week. Sometimes you'll lose more than that - it just happens. About three to four years ago, I cut down my carb intake for just one week and lost 5lbs! It was crazy! Oh, and I also cut down sugar...and kept it off. So it depends, if your body is used to one thing then you cut it out, you might lose fast.

Well, you can see the meal plans but it sounds ok. You're not depriving yourself from any food group, so it should be ok.

Decided to weigh myself on Saturday morning even though I had some drinks and a huge dinner on Friday night. I am still down 2lbs. Now I need to lose 8lbs. Hope I can do it! My motivation is LOW!

Your family means well - truth is: they're biased! My family does the same. I am not overweight but could stand to lose 5-10lbs and still be healthy. If it's going to make you more comfortable in your own skin - do it!

Does anyone have a link to this diet? Where do you get it from? I'm interested to know about it. Although I don't do "fad diets" it's fun to read them! Sometimes you can get some good meal ideas!

September weddings sound ideal - weather wise!

So, this week was hell! Didn't exercise and ate wayyyyy to much!

I was telling myself "well, the wedding is over, time to indulge". Not good! Next week, I hope i'll be back on track.

Hello everyone!

The wedding went well, my dress fit me perfectly! I don't know my weight - I haven't weighed myself in awhile...

Canada Day wasn't so good - Had lots of drinks and some doritos! Oh well, the rest of the weekend was ok.

Now - i'm really lazy. I don't want to work out at all!

Ok, so if my expenditure is 1600, and I ate 1500 calories yesterday and burned 200 while working out. Where does that leave me?

It's TOTM for many of us, myself included!

I worked out yesterday but ate 1500 calories. It's because of TOTM...I know it! Because I couldn't control it!

Anyhoo, tonight and tomorrow will be a challenge. I am part of a wedding on Saturday and tonight we are all going out for some drinks. Atleast i'm eating at home! Then tomorrow is the rehearsal dinner. Oh well, I know we're going to have a wonderful time, I just have to remember that I have to fit in my dress!!

Forgot to mention -

Goal for today = 1200 calories

No exercise, I am exhausted. Got home at 2:30 a.m. last nigth from the bachelorette and had to get up at 6:30 a.m. I will be going to bed early tonight!

Good job dievans!!! Congratulations!

I didn't eat so well this weekend, well actually, I ate healthy but more than my calorie goals.

Saturday I had a family thing on Saturday which equals lots of wine and lots of food!

Sunday I had a bachelorette party and a fondue before going. Good thing about the fondue is that it was fruit with chocolate fondue and I only had one drink because I was driving home. We also danced all night and that is good exercise!

On the plus side, I did a workout on Saturday, and a mini workout on Sunday. Oh, and Friday night we went swimming and helped friends move. So that could be considered exercise right?!

Good job everyone, we are doing well. Even when we think we aren't, we are better than alot of people.

I also think that it's ok to have some days where you're not counting and just enjoying yourself. We all need that from time to time. Right now it's my time of the month so i've also had cravings! Just keep in mind that you are not alone!
