::Chuckles softly:: I attributed this to quiting smoking, maybe I ought to rethink.  Anyways, try gum or chewing on straws. Worked for me.

Weight Loss Quitting Smoking Jan 25 2008

I quit using Chantrix on 9/10/07.  It was by far the easiest quit I've ever done, even when I wqs pregnant.  I don't think I'll ever go back, for the first time I don't miss it.  I did gain about 4 lbs but I made a concious decision to allow the excess calories.  Quitting smoking was more important to me.  Just monitor your calories, if your really worried.  Even when I went over I knew I was doing so.

Best of luck!

LOL! No, your not the only one that likes fattenning stuff.  Most people I know want chocolate or salty foods.  My downfall, plain ole carbs. Carbs are evil!  Pasta (only red gravy - no creamy anything), mashed potatoes, soft pretzels (warm, no salt), kraft mac & cheese... Yum!  Even fruits are carbs, LOL!

I still eat these, I'd be insane by now without them, but in smaller doses.

I've hit 2 both lasting about a month.  Interesting thing is they're the same weights I stopped at on the way up.  I tried changing my exercise, zig zag, you name it.  They seem to resolve just as suddenly as they started.

Salt will make you bloat & water weight gain.  As for fluctuating, we do that naturally. Water will help, but won't negate the double salt intake.

Well, I did but then hey I put it back on still eating for two LOL.

I know some that lost all the weight during or after breast feeding & some that didn't.  But I wouldn't cut back on anything while you're still bf.  Try to eat healthy, be as active as you can & hey we'll be here if it doesn't fall off afterward.

5' 8" @ 14.  I'm jealous.

Anyways, you are at a healthy BMI (24.4) for your age/weight.  I would suggest keeping track of how much you are eating, moderately active you need 2920 calories to fuel your body.  Make sure you are eating enough. Remember muscle weighs more then fat & the number on the scale is just that a number.

Let nature take it's course.  I know it's hard to hear, especially at your age but often weight fluctuates in pre-teens / teens wildly due to growth.  I know my step-daughter (13 yrs. old) gains weight (she floats from an 11  to a 5) then grows quickly thinning out & shooting up.  Though she believes the world is ending when she starts to pack on weight.  I remind her that the weight means more height & breast.  Try not to worry, healthy eating will always work out in the end.

LOL, funny you should mention tuna... I always thought I liked tuna fish (from a can only!).  I tried to cut down on the mayo to cut calories... turns out i only like the mayo.  Don't think i'll be eating that anytime soon.  It tasted like fish, yuck!

Oh! This is me to a tee...
I like everything very plain.  No cheese on anything, no seafood, no veal, no breading on anything, veggies: peas, corn, applesauce (okay not a veggie but on almost any veggie menu - no cinnamon or chucky either), only potatoes I like are mashed & they can't be lumpy or I won't eat them, PB & J must be cut into 4 squares or I don't eat it... think I qualify?

Usually I avoid the diet plans because I only like 1-2 things on the menu... not a recipe for success.  I remember being a teen & eating grapefruit for 5 days because it was the only thing I liked on this fad diet.  Needless to say, I was sick as a dog afterwards.

I too eat redundantly, especially if I have a taste for something.  Typically I've been eating dry cereal for breakfast - though at the moment I'm stuck on animal crackers (must be Barnum crackers).  Lunch is usually fruit.  Here I like quite a few so I'm lucky.  These are usually good for snacks too.

I save most of my calories for dinner.  Being picky I tend to eat my cooking - it?s safer.

I know what you mean about being told to try it anyway or choke it down.  Well for me if I choke down something I don't like it usually comes right back up. Can't see where that's healthy.

Nice to know I'm not the only one here.

I know exactly how your feeling.  I too lost 22 lbs like it was nothing then dead stopped for over a month.  I stuck with it.  Then just as suddenly it started comming back off again. I'm down another 8 lbs (which incidently came off just as quickly).  I figure this is just the way my body compensates.  Stick with it, & try to have patience.  Soon the weight will start rolling off again.

She knows she needs to lose weight, the tight clothes, not to mention the skinny clothes she has put away some where are indication enough.

Focus on the depression & you want her to be healthy & happy.  Suggest maybe she needs to see her GP, after all no one wants to be told they're mentally ill either.  Telling her you don't find her sexy isn't going to help & may depress her further.  My guess the lull in the sex has already told her that.

Suggest maybe she try an anti-depressant for a few months to see if she feels better.  Often  is enough to help snap a person out of a minor depression. & if it doesn't help the GP should reccommend something more drastic (then at least he's the bad guy).

Kraft free italian 15 cal for 2 tbls.  I'm not a big diet product fan, but this ones actually pretty good.  It's just spicy enough to add flavor.

BTW, the catalina free is terrible. Don't try this one.

Try preparing extra (unless you have a left-over king or queen)  you can just reheat it in the microwave. I do thing for my left-over queen. & hide my portion in the fruit drawer.  No way she'd look there.

I too hate exercise.  Instead of looking at it as excersise, why not try being active... walking, swimming, dancing... al of these things burn calories without having to watch all those too thin people & feel like an idiot.

I feel your pain, my husband has one of those metabolisms too, then he passed it on... both kids do too, someone is always eating in my house & worse they need too.

Try keeping low - cal snacks around - popcorn, grapes, things like that.  Though it may not be as satisying as the triple decker cocoa choclate cake its better then sitting there in a puddle of drool.  Also, if you control the food it, try buying things you don't like.

I go every 3 months or so, never knew I was losing all those calories, have to plan for a binge day next time.

BTW, I do have low BP, just make sure you use the little ball thing you'll be fine.

Also, if your worried about pain, go to a donor center.  this is what these people do for a living they're not the trainees you usually get when doing blood tests.  My veins are hard to find, I have been butterflied (ouch!) more then once, & have never had a problem or been stuck more then once when giving blood.

::chuckles softly:: Don't know if this will help your problem or not, but leave out the baking soda (Powder).  My step-daughter did this accidently a few months ago.  One thought about the rock cake I tried desperately to stomach because "she tried".  Haven't wanted home made cookies since.

Weight Loss Husband = Diet Sabotage Jun 11 2007

I feel your pain, though I have to give my husband his due... he doesn't bring any of the banned items into the house.

He has a very high metabolism & can and does eat anything & everything.  Even worse, he's passed it on & my son is underweight, while my step-daughter just makes a healthy BMI.  Sometimes a feel like a food pusher.  All the looking & none of the eating.

It's hard to choke down a salad looking at his burgers & dogs.  But, I figure, splurging once in a while is not going to sabotage anything & for the most part I control the menu.  Go this time, plan better next time.

I usually plan a splurge day for him once a week(shhh!).  I stop at his favorite hoagie spot, I am the truly wonderful understanding wife bringing home yummy greasy food with dessert even.  The trick is I pick out things I don't like so they don't bother me a bit.  Good Luck.
Weight Loss can everyone (women) become a size 0 or 2?? Jun 11 2007

My sister is very tiny, 4'11" @ about 95 lbs.  She has to sqeeze into a 0 but fits child 14 great, go figure... My hip bones are simply too large for that, hold them up against me & my hips are about 2 " too large even at my lowest weight, without even trying to get them on.  The only way I'm getting into a 0 is to cut to 1 out of the 10.

If you remember, most of us jumped from kids sizes to 3 -5 or so.  It simply depends on bone structure.
