During the work week, I pack my lunch the night before so that I don't have an excuse whether I'm motivated or not. It really helps. A way you can tell if your metabolism is working is when you eat and then a couple hours later you feel hungry again. I still enjoy all the foods I love, except I cut back how much I eat. Instead of 5 pieces of pizza, I'll have one with some cottage cheese and veggies on the side. It doesn't hurt to go over your calories once or twice a week. Just don't go overboard. Going over my calories on the weekends by 300-400 or sometimes even 500 tricks my metabolism and so I either don't gain or I even lose sometimes.

sorry i'm a little late, but i'd love to join!

my weight now: 215

i average at 1200-1400 calories a day, and i plan to stick to that. EVEN ON WEEKENDS! Maybe. :)

100 calorie packs are yummy. i eat lots of veggies and fruits. Sugar free Jell-O, 10 calories. Sugar free Pudding, 60 calories. Sugar free popsicles 20 calories. Fat free pretzels. String Cheese 80 calories. Cottage cheese. Grapes & Lite Cool whip. Wheat thins. Dark chocolate. I could go on and on... Good luck!

I'm 5'5, 220 lbs and i wear size 17 jeans, 16 in old navy jeans.
large in t-shirts and xlarge in babydolls. yeah. i have a pear shaped body.

i need a restart. i couldn't resist pizza hut the other night. but hey, i didn't gain anything! it's so much easier doing this during the week, but weekends are real bad for me.

I started here on Monday at 225 and here it is Friday and I'm at 220. 5 pounds gone! It's been a struggle! I was at 170 my freshman year of high school, and after my 1st year of college, I weighed 225! That's a 55 pound weight gain! I'm hoping to lose those 55 pounds, but 30 or so more. It's going 2 be hard, if it takes 2 years, that adds probably 20 to my life. It's worth it. :) Good luck! Let me know if you need any help, and let me know when you get to be under that pesky 200 lbs!!! :)

I couldn't believe how much this sounds like my own problem.
I met my fiance at the same weight I started my diet on.
He loves me for who I am, and says that I'm beautiful, etc, etc.
I'm 5'5 and was 225. I started this diet and instantly he became
real insecure with me. He's by no means overweight. He's 6'2 and is probably 180lbs. Very good looking ;)

Anyways, I decided to lose weight because I want to have kids
and be able to have the energy to play with them. Plus, I wanted
to look and feel great. However, he said to me that he thought that
if I lost weight, I'd leave him. He thought that if I lost weight I would become so great looking that someone would come sweep me off my feet. THIS IS NOT TRUE!!! Like you, I don't want to find anyone "better" I don't even look at guys anymore. I just want to do this for myself, and I want to look great for him. He used to keep trying to feed me ice cream all the time, and my weakness, Pepsi.

So, what I've done is I've paid him extra, extra attention and
I have showered him with more affection. It seems to have worked. He now supports my diet and is even now eating my healthy meals that I cook at home.

And they say that girls are complicated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fruit sugar is good for you. Plus they have a lot of vitamins and most are low-calorie. I eat them in moderation. About 5 a week.

Good Morning!
I'm joining this club today, I just joined the website yesterday!
I'm 5'5, 223 pounds. My goal weight is 135, and so I have 88 pounds to lose. My short term goal is to be under 220 by Monday. I'm going to post stats once a week in this form: starting weight/current weight/goal weight. example: 223/223/135

My calorie goal today is 1000.
