Snack 1- Homemade hummus w/whole wheat pita and celery sticks

Snack 2- An organic chocolate raspberry Clif Nectar bar

Supper- A cup of vegan chicken noodle soup w/Annie's cheddar bunnies

My exercise is kind of freeform. Every day, I do ab-specific excercises for about 10 minutes, then I stretch for a few. I also go on a cross-country run for about 20 minutes or more, or I go for a half hour walk with my dad.

My favorite is a big mezze platter, complete with tabboule, hummus, baby spinach, carrot, olives, and pita bread. Very tasty.

My favorite non-homemade meal is Amy's mattar paneer dish. It is soo tasty. Not a fan of the rice, however...

Fake.... as in full of artificial fillers, colors, sweeteners... things like that?

If so, then count me in as well! I refuse to eat food labeled as "diet" unless it's cheese. And I haven't seen much "diet cheese", lawlz.

The Lounge A question about faith... Sep 05 2008

I'm an apathetic agnostic. No one has sufficiently proven the existence of any particular deity, and never have I had a prayer, wish, or thought granted. I have never seen anything which I could explain with any particular religion over any other, and I remain completely unaware of any spiritual force in my life. Maybe I'm "unlucky" or something, but I've never felt that I was being moved in any of my random flings with a religious creed.

For the time being, the god, gods, or goddess remains quite elusive and unnamed. I kind of like it that way....

Young Calorie Counters for those of you that prepare all of your own meals.. Sep 01 2008

I started cooking my own meals when I became vegetarian. My family always eats meat in some form or another for supper, so they completely understood why I wanted to cook for myself. Not to mention I told them I was analyzing the nutrition of my meals, so I needed to have a hand in my own preparation.

I used to eat with them sometimes, because my mum would leave the meat out of a helping of the main dish. That was cool, but my tastes have turned upside-down since then, and I doubt if I'll be able to go back to my family's cooking, lol.

When I started eating on schedule, (before 8 p.m.) my family would laugh and accuse me of being loner. I learned to eat my food when I wanted, and eventually they left it alone. I still attempt to eat when they do, however, and they are usually complimentary. They make jokes about the vegan foods I eat, at times, but I take it with humor. I doubt they are trying to be mean. ^^

I suggest not telling your mum and just doing it. Maybe, if she asks, you could tell her the truth. Like,"I wanted to eat a little earlier fom now on," or "Eating earlier fits into my schedule better."
