ninabeanah, so pretty much you eat a lot more than 13oo with how active you are!

Heehee - yes, I do try to eat back calories to make sure I have a minimum of 1200-1300 total for the day. I try lean protein (red meat is my weakness, and I really like dark chicken meat, not breast, but I'm learning to like it more) and whole grain wraps, pasta, salads and steamed veg.

My big problem is getting the time to eat properly! I can squeeze in the workouts whenever I can since the gym is just down the street. But I have so many meetings, fitings, etc with clients (it's busy wedding season and I am a fashion designer) as well taking care of my daughter, taking her to preschool and back....its hard to get some time to cook.

I think I eat far too much processed food unfortunately, but I'm trying to make som stuff ahead of time.

Well, I hit 134 this morning, so I'm coming down...hope I can crack the 12_s soon!!

I am doing high impact aerobics/dance classes one a week for an hour, Pilates three times a week, and ballet (I am a former dancer) twice a week. I want to add in spin classes twice weekly as well if I have time. I will have to eat more calories if I do that!

OK, nina, you have just thoroughly exhausted me, I'm going back to bed.......Foot in mouth

LOL!!! It's not that bad really! The Pilates program is on my home machine and is only 45 min long! Who knows if I can fit in the spin classes...I run my own business and am a full time mom of a preschooler. Not a whole lot of ree time kicking around :)

ninabeanah, are you counting calories, what kind of workouts are you doing?

Hi! Yes, I am counting calories :) I try to stay within about 1200 and 1350, more if I do lots of exercise. I am doing high impact aerobics/dance classes one a week for an hour, Pilates three times a week, and ballet (I am a former dancer) twice a week. I want to add in spin classes twice weekly as well if I have time. I will have to eat more calories if I do that!

I have a goal of 122-125 with muscle for this August :)

I was a size 2/4 mostly, but am now a size 6 top (big ribcage and bigger bbs since weight gain) and a 4 in bottoms and skirts.

Shirts are size small

I am a medium frame I think :)

Weight Loss Sorry really worried... Jun 08 2008

It could be a reaction your body is having to starting a new routine. If you kind of just jumped right into exercising and dieting, it might have shocked your body some.

I found that about 3-4 weeks after I cold turkeyed myself into a reduced calorie diet and started really working out, I got a slightly painful rash on my right thigh that acually turned into shingles believe it or not.

It was a stress reaction my body was having.

Only a doctor can tell for sure what yours is, but I would get it checked out if I were you. So, you don't think it could be a reaction to your workout clothing?

Hi - sorry you're having trouble...

where on your legs is the rash?

Could it be your workout clothes causing the rash? I am thinking maybe that when you are sweating, maybe the fabrics are not breathing well and perhaps causing a bit of a heat rash or irritation?

Is it itchy?

I'm actually 5'8" but close enough!

I was 122 at Christmas and then I gained due to surgery and no working out - now I'm at 136!!!!

I want to get to 125 and LEAN...

It's hard going since I am already classified as a healthy weight for my height, but I need to replace the fat with muscle and also lose a few vanity pounds :)

I am starting my workout routine again today and will be working out at least 5 days a week. Hopefully I can feel comfortable in that bikini again this summer!

Weight Loss Group? 10lbs by july?? Jun 06 2008

Is it too late to join??

I don't know if I'll do it, but I want to lose the 10 lbs I gained since Christmas - but by the middle of July!

I hope I can do it, but even if it's only 8 lbs I'll be happy. I used cc before Xmas and lost over 45lbs but got too skinny (I'm 5'8" and got to 119 before I knew it and was really scrawny). I upped my calories and kind of stopped working out so I ended up gaining over 10lbs. I'm now 136 and want to get to a toned 125.

Let's see if I can get there!

3500 calories equals a pound

so if you cut back 500 a day you should lose 1 pound a week...or you can exercise to burn part of that off.

Thank-you so much! I will do as much as I can , but I don't have access to weights...

I do have a ballet barre and a pilates machine that works abs really well as well as glutes with resistance bands, etc.

I'll see how far i can get in 2 weeks!

Thanks again!

OK - I am now 5'8" and 126lbs. I am stopping now and not focusing on the 125 number. One pound is not going to make a difference and I am now looking a  little thin in the torso area. I wanted to look good in a bikini and now I look okay at the bottom (Still too big, I think) but up top I look actually a little sick...ribs and bones sticking out...not nice. Anyway, I am going to stop and just see if I can achieve the look I want with toning and no be too hard on my self this holiday season.

Goo dluck to everyone and Merry Christmas!

I'd be interested to know what to do as welll. I love Pilates, but I'm not sure it's slimming them any..

I have a YUMMY recipe for chicken breast stuffed with feta cheese...sooo good and very low cal and low fat.

You need the crumbled feta that has tomato and basil in it. You pound the chicken breast half until it's flat , then spoon 1.5tsp of feta mixture on half of it, a sprig of parsley, some diced green onion, then fold over the chicken breast. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs drizzle with .5 tsp olive oil and bake! Delish!! Serve over a spinach salad and you're set! My 4 year old daughter and my husband love it as well.

My husband also makes chicken in a foil bag with red wine, potatoes, mushrooms, small amount of lean bacon, garlic and spices - that's amazing as well :)

We eat a lot of chicken :)

Weigh in #4 for me:

height 5'8"

age:36

weight as of today 131...up .8  from yesterday...sheesh. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

Xmas Goal weight 125 - I really don't think I am going to make it there by Christmas, with the rate of loss really slowing down. I think I may be happy with 128 which I think is more realistic.

See you next Friday!

I know people are getting on your case a bit...I didn't read all the posts, but that was the idea I got from the first ones anyway...

girl...I soooo know what you're talking about! I was like that with an ex-boyfriend many years ago and I know the stress we girls can put ourselves under to "impress". So, you lied...I think i would have done the exact same thing actually.

As for guys not being able to estimate weight - that's so true! If you did your best to lose as much weight as possible, in the healthy way - and exercise to build definition in your arms, etc - I'll bet he won't be able to tell the difference. Find a great set of clothes that are really flattering, stand tall and gracefull, and you'll look way slimmer. Spanx are great as well :) lol!

Seriously, I wish you the best. I'm not sure if anything will come of the meeting, but you should be able to feel proud and enjoy meeting him again:)

Weight Loss What size do you wear and how do you feel about it?? Oct 18 2007

I'm 5'8" and 133lbs - I currently fit size 6 dresses (wide ribcage) and size 4 pants. I know what you mean about Old Navy's vanity sizing!! I wear a size 1 in their Sweetheart jeans!! I bought a size 2 and they are looking too big. Very weird..

Anyway, at this point i am happy with my clothes size. I do want to get down to 125lbs ,but toned, not flabby. I'm totally fine with staying in the same size. My ribcage won't shrink anyway, so my top size won't change :) I'm finding it hard to find the smaller sizes now, just like it was hard to find the bigger sizes a few months ago!

Thanks everyone! I actually did look into Old Navy and ended up buying a pair of size 2 long and they fit pretty well, but yes,  a little bit big in the hip and thigh area, but waaay better than the size 4 and 6 ones i was trying on before! And they were cheap :) I'll wait now until I lose the rest of my weight and then try on some of the other brands. Maybe the size 2 in the other bridmas will fit the best at my goal weight.

Thanks again!

Thank-you so much everyone!!! I really appreciate all the recommendations you gave me - I'm going to try this weekend maybe. Old Navy first, then perhaps Aritzia or whatever it's called. I'll shop around! Maybe I'll be able to find some of the American brands that were suggested as well. I think I remember Oprah mentioning her jeans and also Sevens - Oprah looks killer in her jeans so I'm sure they're great! At least I know there is hope!

Cheers!
