ive read posts about people who took it while cutting just to maintain strength.  Water weight accompanies certain forms of creatine though.

gnc is terrible never buy from them, there prices are way to high.  The best way is to find one of those little vitamin stores or the one by me called "total discount vitamins" they have less of a variety but half the price.

garnet, the same thing happened to me.  Im a 18 y.o. male 5'10, and was around 235 at age 17.  I started excersizing like crazy and was only eating around 1000 calories per day and I lost 65 pounds.  I went to college, still ate healthy but decided after reading a lot of articles that my calories were way to low so i figured I would up my calories a lot.  I just ate more healthy things probably ate around 2000 calories per day, and went from 170-185 still while doing heavy weight lifting and light cardio.  I got so scared of gaining the weight back I went to restrict my calories again and hurt my metabolism again.  About 3 weeks ago ive decided to just eat more and forget about the weight gain just see what happens.  I think it helps if i take pictures rather than look at the scale. But hopefully i can fix this.
Fitness Help me bulk up Apr 08 2008
00:57 (UTC)
a friend of mine when he bulks eats like 6000+ calories a day.

he eats a lot of oats and grilled chicken.  When i say a lot i mean like 5-7 cups of oats a day and maybe 8 pieces of grilled chicken, along with whey protein, casein protein, vegetables like sweet potatoes and apples and bananas, usually throws in some natural peanut butter and peanuts. google a bulking diet, youll find one.  he also eats about 6-7 times per day

same thing happened with me when I was on a diet.  I realize now that I restricted my calories way to much though.  Mid day, around 12 or 1 o clock I would have to drive home from school and take a nap because I was so tired.  I realized, once I began to maintain my weight and upped my calories a bit more I no longer felt that way.

I walked into the womans locker room once.   Totally just was not even paying attention strolling along and them BAM! I've actually seen a woman fall off of the treadmill once, this may sound horrible, but it was one of the funniest things I have ever seen.  She was alright though.

I was in a bad car accident on halloween night.  I was pretty sore the next day, mainly the left side of my hip from the seat belt, but I felt that going to the gym the next day kind of relieved some of the stress of what happened. Obviously if you cant move or something dont do it but if you feel okay might as well, it worked for me.

I posted something similar to this but i would just sprint for 30 seconds than straddle the thing for 30 and keep going on 10.0.  They said it wasnt so I switched to sprinting for a minute on 10.0 and walking for 2 minutes on 4.3 for about 20 minutes and i feel it works better.

I really like to limit myself to drinks during the week when I know im going to have a fun time.  You know, out with a group of friends, meeting people, hanging out.  But nothing beats those nights where you have a few cocktails and just let out the days stress.  I guess it really just comes down to where you are on your "diet quest".  Now im more of maintaining so a couple drinks as long as i excercise each day isnt going to kill me.  If you have to have those few drinks, make sure there low in calories, diet soda, rum.  Maybe even try drinking them slower, feel the ease set in a little bit more instead of just chugging them down.

I have the same problem.  I'm a male though and dropped a considerable amount of weight over the past year and a half.  I feel that as long as im good during the week, eating right, healthy, working out, 1 night a week usually saturday, going wild is a good thing.  The week is stressful so if a few hundred extra cals means releasing a week full of stress im not complaining.  I'm also in more of a maintenance phase, but while i was cutting i still gave myself 1 night.  I also tend to eat MASSIVE amounts of food after a night out, so lately ive been eating popcorn after, its healthy, tasty.

to be honest I really think that you can use google as your own personal trainer.  Theres thousands of articles on workouts and websites showing you correct form and eating habits as well.  I thnk its a waiste ofmoney to hire a person to tell you what you can find out easily on the internet.  But you neverknow even a couple sessions could get you on the right track if you dontmind paying.
Fitness Workout, Diet, and a Complex Work Schedule--Questions. Feb 19 2008

Hey Melkor, I was wondering if I could ask you a question.  Like you guys, I used to be a fat kid.  When I was 16 I was 5'10 235 pounds.  I was active though, I played football and wrestled and was good, but I just ate total garbage all the time.  The word "moderation" just wasnt really one I was acquainted with.  Well when I turned 17 I started hitting the cardio at the gym real hard for about 6 months, with light weight training and got down to around 205.  Than the next 6 months I started heavy weight training and more cardio and went down to 170.  I realized that the diet I was on was more of a crash diet because I was not getting enough calories, but I didnt care, I looked great, 6 pack you know the whole deal.

I recently started college and decided that over the winter I would begin to bulk to put on some muscle.  I went from 170 to 190 in 5 months and got considerably stronger in every aspect of my workout.  However, like typical bulking diets I did gain a little bit of fat.  Now I've started to cut.  Doing 25 minutes of HIIT monday tuesday and thursday along with a strict weight lifting diet.  I was curious though, at the end of the day, after i subtract what I estimate I burned off each day from training which probably is in the 400-600 calorie range, I only really have eaten 900-1500 calories, somewhere in there.  Ive read for my age thats nowhere near what I should have, but really Im not any more hungry, and I eat extremely clean.

My meals typicall are like this.

Morning 10 am: protein shake, 3 egg whites, and apple

workout

post workout:protein shake, half a banana

lunch: grilled chicken with some vegetables and maybe some tuna salad and a couple egg whites.

snack: anything high in protein, usually a can of tunafish

dinner: more chicken

the reason I eat so much chicken is because at school, if its not greasy, fried, fat, its grilled chicken from the salad bar.

than later ill snack on maybe some beef jerky or some nuts.

My question is how would I restructure my diet, to eat more calories, however also lose weight.  If im not getting anywhere near enough, if I add more will I just gain?

sorry this is so long lol. thanks.

buy some weightgainer protiein shakes, have one before bed or after you workout or both. that will make up for the calorie defecit plus if you mix it with milk youll almost deffinitly see a surplus of calories because they can pack on 1000-2000 calories per shake.

Maintaining Calories - running versus walking? Aug 28 2007

wouldnt the ammount of calories burned matter more on how hard your body is working.  You can walk a mile in 20 minutes and burn 100 cals or you could run one in 8 and a half and burn 200. Im curious because ive wondered this as well.

so what do you think is best? add on 400 calories starting tommorrow and start taking in around 1600 or waiting and gradually adding them on.  I also really have no idea where to get the calories from, where to add on more where to take of less etc.
