Size 12 can definitely be hot!  Dang, if I were a size 12 right now, I'd throw a bikini on & do cartwheels down the street!

*poof* You are no longer tired.  In fact, you are so full of energy and having so much crazy fun...that you are picked up by the police, diagnosed as manic with psychotic symptoms and hauled off to the state mental hospital.  (sorry for all that but I'm a therapist!)lol

I wish I could go get a pedicure right now.

Well, thanks for all the replies...I completely realize its just my own excuse for having not ran...but you really can't control the things you feel embarrased about.

But, by golly, I will get out and try...either tonight after it's dark or first thing in the morning before sunrise (geesh...i sound like a vampire).  But I will update on how many minutes seconds I run.

Thanks for letting me complain!

Okay, I'm going to whine here for a second...maybe somebody else can empathize.  I would love, love, love to learn to run and start doing it as I feel it would greatly speed up weight loss.  But, I do not want to be seen running.  Now, I know a lot of people will say stuff about just "do it for your health","don't worry about what other people think", etc.  But, there is no way I will run in my neighborhood and let anyone see my 200 + lbs. running and panting down the street for 5 seconds at a time!

I did try running when I had a 24hr. gym membership last fall...and I loved it on the treadmill (I would get up at 4 a.m. so nobody would be there to watch me!) But now money is tight for the gym!

I have considered getting up before daylight to run around the neighborhood, but I'm a little concerned for safety reasons.  I don't live in a horrible neighborhood...but it's not the greatest either.

There, now I'm done complaining and making excuses.  Just wanted to vent for a second!  Anyone else ever have this issue?

No offense taken! I completely realized his anger after the fact, but it did not change the way it made me feel.  And, of course, I was just making the point of my female sensitivity versus his male...uh..not so much sensitivity.

And, as far as my daughter goes...I couldn't drag her off of the bench most of the season...I probably wouldn't have kept her out if I really did think she enjoyed it...but I'm afraid she inherited her mom's unathleticism!  Maybe I can convince her to be a "band geek" like her mom was (go trumpets!).  Okay, that's pretty nerdy of me since high school was 15 years ago!

But, anyway, back on topic...I totally think men are from mars and women are from venus.  In general, we are very different creatures, but usually, are differences complement each other.

Just a post to give an example about some females (myself) and sports.  I thought I would do a great thing this year and volunteer to coach soccer for my 6 year old's soccer team (city league) because they were begging for people to volunteer.  I let them know up front that I knew very little about sports, but was willing to help out.  I felt great about it, read all kinds of stuff on the sport, got my little clipboard and drills ready and went all out for it.

Well, practices went great...then the first game went great...then the 2nd game...I was up against another team with a male coach who did not know I was completely naive and new to this.  I apparently let my best kids keep playing even though we were badly beating the other team (I didn't even really realize this until after the fact because they do not keep a scoreboard at this age group)...and he got so mad...yelled at me in front of all the kids...told me I was the most unsportsman-like coach he'd ever seen!  I walked off the field in tears...I honestly didn't know that I had been doing anything wrong.

I tell that whole story to make my point about male vs. female.  I was just trying to be helpful and thought I was doing a great thing...he was a hardcore coach that thought I didn't know my job good enough.

Well, end of story...that was my last game that I coached...I was too embarrassed to go back...and probably the last time I will put my daughter in a sport...the whole thing left a bad taste in my for sports...and sorry to say...coaches.

Weight Loss McDonald's Foods After Ten Weeks... Jun 25 2007

Oh, just have to add one more thing.  When I was 16, McDonalds was my first job.  I remember sitting through the orientation film that we watched and they showed the food being made in the plant.  The chicken mcnuggets were little bitty dried up things going down a conveyor belt, then a big machine injected each one with fat to plump it up to normal size.  It grossed me out even back then...

Just have to laugh at this post...because my grandmother is still alive & kickin at 90 years old.  No health problems either.  So the funny thing is...she loves McDonalds french fries.  Been going there regularly forever just for the fries.  Kinda makes me think she may have preserved herself.  Haha.

I've had it & I thought it was very good.  It tastes like the regular version with a lot less cheese to me.  Sometimes I get that and the chicken sandwich that is on the weight watchers menu.  The soup is probably tastier than the sandwich is.
