I don't think it is a 'gift grab' at all. My mother and father in law renewed their vows a few years ago. They got married in a courthouse when they found out they were pregnant with my now husband. And through years of struggling and 4 more boys later they could finally afford their big wedding. I don't think it matters how long you have been married whether it be a year or in my in-laws case 20 years. A wedding is about going together for the rest of your lives and professing you love for the other, what does it matter if it has been one, five, ten, or even fifty years. |

| I'm 5'9", my lowest weight was 137 but I have a large frame so looking back at pictures, sure I have some hips and stomach to lose but my chest and shoulders looked sickly! My goal weight is 150 I looked good then, some nice curves. | |||

| Well it isn't a cat, my both my older brother and dad are allergic to dogs; and just like your boyfriend they get sneezy and watery eyes. We have two dogs, and both my dad and my brother are find with them, it took a while but their bodies are bascially immune to them. They just took benadryl when they would feel sneezy or anything. Then after a while like a few months it got to the point where they are completely find with them, but still reacted to other dogs. But my brother moved out two years ago so when he comes back from his 2 month TDY's they bug him. So basically it is a temporary fix but not permanent. Hope this helps. | |||

Thanks p44657! My husband and I have actually already talked about it, and my only 'requirement' is that my son is for the most part out of diapers before we have another one, I don't want to pay for two kids worth of diapers. lol. I know, it has only been four and a half months but I love being a mom. All the smiles are so worth it! I wish it would disappear but then again I gained 57 pounds and I knew I wasn't having a 60 lb baby haha, only lost ten after delivery. But I am 25 lbs down and only 22 to get to prepregnancy, halfway there! Congradulations on your baby! When are your plans for baby #2? |

| I think the weirdest way I eat is eating in pairs. My husband makes fun of me, I have to eat an even amount so I eat the same amount on both sides of my mouth. I have to eat 3 m&ms on my right side, then 3 on the left, then right etc. And if i have like 5 things I either throw it away, or grab another one. And I always have to finish by eating on my left side, it can't be the right. | |||

Everyone i have ever met thinks I am crazy even my parents. I hate fruits...the only ones I like are green apples ( have to be really really sour) and oranges, bananas occasionally but not too much. But unlike my brothers, I LOVE veggies, corn, green beans, broccoli, raw carrots, peas, celery..yumm I could eat those all day. I also can't stand cheesecake, I love the ingrediants by themselves but put together, makes me gag. Oh and tomatos they make me gag jsut thinking about them. And it sucks because my hubby loves tomatos so I am forever picking them out of dinner. |

| Weight Loss | loss weight by surgery | Aug 13 2007 21:15 (UTC) |

| I personally am completely against gastic bypass surgery. Just six years ago my grandfather had gastric bypass surgery and died three days later. He bled into the stapled off portion of his stomach which eventually burst into his system. Because of all the stomach acid and waste that was in his stomach, eventually his kidneys failed and couldn't clean out his system. He was too weak and wasn't stable enough to do a dialysis on him. He actually died two days after the surgery but was kept on life support for a day. He had no brain function what so ever. Being 14 and literally watching your grandfather die, has completely turned me against surgical methods to lose weight. But that is just me, I know a few ladies that got gastric and they look great now. | |||

| My son, so he doesn't grow up and be lead with the same poor eating habits I did. And because I want to have more children and don't want to already be overweight when I get pregnant again. Also for myself, I went on a diet right before I found out I was pregnant so I never lost the weight I watned to before having my son, so now I have that and baby weight to lose :) | |||

| I had the best dinner the other night, a baked chicken breast seasoned with onion powder, garlic powder, and lemon herb, just by itself it was awsome! Then I had a whole bunch of steamed broccoli (my fave) with 0 cal butter spray. And with a big salad with italian dressing and hard boiled eggs, reduced fat cheese, and turkey slices it was awsome and for less than 400 calories. | |||

| Weight Loss | How do I keep myself from wanting to eat when I am not suppose to? | Jul 30 2007 17:09 (UTC) |
|
| I have the same problems I work 9.5 hour days in a very slow paced job. My problem is I am a bored eater, so I bring my own snacks and don't stray from that. I usually bring a granola bar for my morning snack (10am) and some sugar free jello with fat free cool whip for my sweet cravings(2pm). Luckily I don't work near a vending machine I would have to walk aways, also those little crystal light to go water flavor things help. I don't know what it is but when I drink that I kinda forget I want to eat...at least for a while.
Another thing I found helped, I am not doing it now because of finances, but taking a college class or two keeps you busy with school work. |

| I know how you feel! I hate it, I go to my moms house after work since she has an elliptical and treadmil and she can watch my 3 month old. But I hate doing it, I go to work at 630 am and get off work at 4 so I don't get home till 6 and I have to cook myself dinner (hubby works nights) and feed the baby and get him to bed I feel like my whole day is shot and I get no down time.
So I buckled down and went and bought a used elliptical for 200 bucks while we save and wait until we can afford a better one. It is now set up and I am going to start waking up at 4 and work out for 40 mins then go to work. That way I have almost no time to think of excuses not to do it and I am awake when I got to work. What I usually do...I just force myself and five mins in the workout I feel motivated. Listening to music or I watch a movie and that helps it go by fast. War movies are great cuz you get all into it and pissed you just go faster and harder. |

| I was kind of in your situation 4 years ago. I met him my freshman year, and both of us being army brats we got stationed in the same town and went to high school together. Well about a year later he moved to NC and I was still in AZ. Then 4 years ago when I started my senior year, he and I decided we would try a long distance relationship since the feelings were still there. It was HARD i am not even going to lie. Communication and trust are a huge thing, you have to have it or you guys will fail. As for me, we went three years long distance and he moved down here since I was going to college and almost done. Now we are married and have a beautiful son who was born this past April and we couldn't be happier. Personally I found it made us stronger in the sense we can talk about things easier, but harder when we started living together because we really didn't get used to each others quirks. Hope this helps and good luck! | |||

| I completely agree longliv! Right after I graduated high school I lost 30 pounds, I didn't count anything! I worked out 45 mins 5 days a week and had ice cream or cookies every night. I ate whatever I wanted as long as it wasn't pure chocolate ;) And now after gaining a lot of weight from my pregnancy I have already lost 13 pounds working out 3 or 4 days a week for 30 mins and just eating better, but I still have my ice cream!
My only problems is getting motivated to work out, I work 9 hours days starting at 6:30 am then have to pick up my almost 3 month old from day care and watch him in the evening while my husband finishs up his night shift. Makes me glad my mom has an elliptical and a treadmil i can use whenever I want :) |

| I was actually told I was fat by a lady I used to work with when she knew me before i got pregant, I gained 47 pounds since then, and a week and a half afte I delivered I saw her and she said, oh my gosh you have gained so much weight. I looks like you are going to have to go on a diet soon, and she said 'you are bigger than your husband now' I could just see the anger in my husbands eyes and I was about to cry. I was so upset I didn't want to talk about, my poor husband was trying to tell my I was still beautiful but I just didn't want to talk about it. Then last weekend I went into Sears again and she poked my side from behind and said oh my gosh you have gained weight, that time, my husband just glared at her and she walked away. It was horrible! | |||

| Hello everyone! I am 20 years old and 5'8.5" - 5'9", and since having my son 6 weeks ago I jumped to my all time high of 210. In high school 3 years ago i lost 30 pounds to get to 137 then gained it all back and planned to lose it all then I found out I was pregnant a week later. My goal this time is 148, I have a medium-large frame so 137 looked sickly as I look back at pictures. My husband is going to start working out with me so I don't lose motivation. Good luck everyone! | |||
