| Yippeeeee!!! I weighed in this morning @ 155lbs. Last week I weighed in at 160 (down from 165) but I wasn't sure if it was water weight or not. Now that the scale says 155lbs, I'm sure I'm out of the 160's!! Good luck to all and keep up the hard work! I'll be talking to you in a 150's club. | |||

| I'm doing great!! I weighed in at 155 lbs this morning from 160 the last time I weighed in. I have also added jogging to my exercise routine (along with the Slim & 6 after work) in the mornings for 15 minutes before I get ready for work. I feel great and I can finally fit into some of my old summer clothes. This really helps my motivation and I will continue!!!!!!!!!! | |||

| Well, you do have a point. I have never been able to stop at just one peice of pizza in the past (that was hard though). I guess I should be proud of myself for accomplishing that. I still did manage to stay under 1500/calories for that day (including the peice of pizza), so I guess I won't re-start. Thanks for pointing that out! | |||

| Start over please. I did good all weekend until my boyfriend ordered a pizza and I couldn't resist and I ate one peice. I know it probably wasn't too bad, but I felt bad enough to start over. Here I go again. | |||

| I'm still doing it and feeling great!! I am no longer as sore thank goodness-lol I too am not seeing many results, but other people tell me they can see a difference. My clothes are getting looser also, but still in the same size. I'm definately going to keep it up though because I know it takes time. I finally made it down to 160lsb from the last weigh-in of 165 lbls so I know something is working. Keep it up and stay in touch!! | |||

| Well, I too work 40 hrs a week 8-5 mon thru fri and am also very exhausted by the time I get home. Not to mention that I have a 17 month old baby also. What I do is tell myself no matter how I feel I will get in at least 20 min of exercise when I get home. I have been doing the workout video slim & 6 for a few weeks now and I love it. The first stage in slim & 6 is only like 26 mins long and very easy to follow. Do you have digital cable with ondemand? If so you can find the first stage (it's called start it up) under the fitness section on ONDEMAND (thats if they haven't taken it off yet). This is where I started and ended up purchasing all of the videos. I must say though- even though I tell myself to do at least 20 min everyday, Once I get started I am able to do it much longer. I have now advanced to the last stage called Burn it up which is an hour long. I don't ever quite make it that far, but I am now able to go for approx 45 mins. Once I get started my energy level suprisingly boosts up and I feel much better. It the first step you need to take and once you do I'm sure you can accomplish it. Once more thing. If you miss a work out don't kick yourself in the butt. Just make sure to get back on track. The weekends are my downfalls because I have so much to do around the house & with my family I kind of get off track. However, I still continue to do my work-outs after work. Good luck and let me know how everthing goes! | |||

| I'm still clean. I ate a few more calories than my 1500 / day allowance this weekend, but I don't consider myself not clean unless I go over 2000 / day. So, so far so good! | |||

| Motivation | HELP!!! | Jun 07 2007 16:46 (UTC) |
|
| well anyways. When I was young I had my first child (16yrs). I know you probably r not that young but if your in the range up until about 23 then your metabolism may be about the same. I too weighed 120lbs before pregnancy and go up to 172 lbs. I dropped down to 140 lbs w/in the first month and was really depressed that I was still so big (at least i thought i was at the time: what i would do to be that size again-lol). The first thing you need to realize is that your body needs to heal before you decide to start dieting/exercising. Right now you need all the nutrients you can get (especially if your breastfeeding). After you feel completely healed and your doctor agrees, all you need to do is eat healthy and do light exercise daily. Also breasfeeding will help you lose weight. When I was ready to diet/exercise after about 2 months of giving birth, it only took me 4 weeks to get back down to 120lbs and I did it the healthy way. It probably melted off of me because I was so young though. just a thought. I hope all goes well and congrats on your new baby! | |||

| Thanks Scooterchicken, but that answer doesn't help. I don't have poor self control, I drink occasionaly because I enjoy it. Just like you probably do things because you enjoy it. My question was can you still lose weight when you have alcohol in part of your diet. Pretty much, will drinking sometimes offset everthing i am working for? | |||

| i too love beer, and this is probably one of my problems. Since I've started cutting calories I add in the beer to my calorie intake. One 12 oz budlight is 110 calories, so a couple doesn't hurt my intake too much. It's the weekends when I have the problem--lol I also like bacardi and diet coke which i usually just add 100 calories althoug I think it's really around 70 calories. Does anyone know if I do add the alcohol calories to my daily intake if you will still lose weight? For instance: yesterday I had approx 1100 calories worth of food and 400 calories worth of alcohol. Totaling 1500 calories. Can I still lose like this? I know it doesn't sound to healthy so please no critizism. This is not an every day thing either just an example for my yesterday. Thanks | |||

| si6 (Slim in 6) is a workout program made to make you slim in just 6 weeks, of course with a meal plan too. Although i don't have that plan. It comes in 3 stages with a couple extra videos for abs & stretches. I don't have the exact stages because I purchased the vidoes off of e-bay, but on one of these posts there is more information. If you by chance have on demand cable you can go to the exercise tv part and find the start it up video (this is the first stage). This is actually were i first found it and I liked it so much that i bought it. If you give it a try let me know how you like it. So far I love it!!! | |||

| I have also been wanting to join a 160's club but couldn't find one, so Thank-you Liney for starting this. I am currently at 165, I started this sight at 167. In January my new years resoulution was to lose weight from my pregnany where I got up to 217lbs. I dropped to 181 pretty fast and this is the weight I was at beginning of january. So so far I have lost 16lbs!!!!!!!! Oh, I was curious if anyone is willing to share their measurements. I finally measured myself for the first time yesterday and I wasn't to thrilled. Unfortunately I didn't measure myself to begin with so I have no comparison as of now, but I know I must have lost something. My love handles are outrageous. Anyways, I'm 5'4, 40" bust, 37" waist, 41" hips. Oh, one more thing. I don't understan why according to size charts according to my waist i would be in a size greater than 20. I'm not even close to that. Iwere a size 14. Can anyone explain??? | |||

| I started the siu about 3 weeks ago and did it every other day because my legs were so sore at first. I found the siu on the exercise tv on ON Demand if anyone has this feature it is a great way to start if you don't have the videos. I liked it so much so I purchased it off of e-bay. Last week I did riu for a few days and I decided to advance myself to biu because I like the feeling of more cardio and it gives me a better workout. I am finally past the getting sore and so far have done it a week straight (minus 1 day). I started at about 168 lbs and am down to 165lbs. I'm a little discouraged because I haven't lost more weight, but my boyfriend tells me he can see a difference. I wish I would have taken measurments before I started but I was not sure how to. So yesterday I posted "measurment help" and someone replied with a great website. So yesterday I took my measurments so I could start comparing. Bust 40", waist 37", hips 35" as of yesterday. Would anyone like to join me with our progress??? It would help because I am so discouraged with not losing more weight at this point. Also, I am sticking with a low-cal diet approx 1500 cal/day. | |||

| I AM ON THE DEPO SHOT AND IT IS NORMAL TO SPOT A FEW WEEKS BEFORE THE NEXT SHOT IS DUE UP UNTIL YOU GET THE NEXT ONE. EVERYBODY'S BODY IS DIFFERENT THOUGH AND I DO KNOW THAT NOT EVERYONE STOPS HAVING THIER PERIOD. I ASKED MY DOCTOR ALL OF THESE QUESTIONS AND HE SAYS EVERYTHING IS NORMAL. YOUR BODY MAY JUST BE AFFECTED DIFFERENTLY. IF YOUR WORRIED THOUGH, I WOULD AT LEAST CALL A NURSE TO SEE IF YOUR SYMPTOMS ARE NORMAL. | |||
