i have set myself goals of 7lbs a time - it used to be 14 but considering i have so much to go - smaller goals are easier and you feel so chuffed when you have reached one - i am struggling at the moment to get to 28lbs total loss - my third effective mini goal of 7 but am determined to get there one day

we certaibly do that - this week she had full marks in a mental maths test (multiplication tables) and also in a spelling test.

this is the one thing that encourages her is praise and we are always full of that for her.

(Sorry if this sounds big headed) but i just cant help it when it comes to how well she is doing and how far she has come

in respect to libory - i have not been venting all my personal problems on the forum - i have just been asking advice about certain situations from people who dont know me and may be able to offer me some advice - i look and read every post and if there is something useful i will take it on board and use it.

i do talk to my husband about our situation lbblair - we are strong and united as a team but things do get strained - i am trying to keep up a strong front but it can be hard,

i want to cut my hours alayney - because i am never home at decent hours to see my daughter - up to next saturday 22nd september as of last week i will have worked three weeks without hardly any time off - one day i think. she wants me at home but unless i am earning there is not enough to give her little things now and then - i try not and spoil her - and also when i am off i am too tired to do much outside with her etc.

Weight Loss If you eat slower why is it better?? Sep 09 2007

personally i find its better to eat slowly - you enjoy your food more rather than just gulping it down.

i find if i eat too quick it gives me terrible heartburn and indigestion - which i suffer a lot of being the size that i currently am - just over 240 - have lost 22.8 since may 26th this year.

OK  so the USA lost to England - but it was not a flattering scoreline for the World Cup holders was it?

Look at what New Zealand and Australia did against their respective sides - thats what you call a good scoreline.

Well done to the USA for doing so good - i only hope that Wales (where i come from) can do ok against Canada - but best of luck to both sides.

thanks for the help - i appreciate it very much - the reason i wanted to know is so that i will not eat it again due to having now a very good idea of what it contains. it was a treat for me to have something nice without worrying too much about it - its not often that i do this - but when i do i want to make sure that i enjoy it

i do not deny myself anything but what i call the naughty stuff i try and limit it - if i overdo it one day then for the next couple of days i will try not to have anything naughty at all.

at the end of the day if you fancy something that you should not eat a lot of have it in moderation

i am 38 years old and am 5ft 4" tall

eat on average 1850 -1900 a day

i weighed 268 in may 2007 and currently am at 247.2

i am at sedentary activity level - due to being an office worker - i work in a travel centre - this is the level recommended on the original forum

excsuse me if i sound thick but do you mean

bmr(2200) - exercise (300) = 1900 meaning i should eat about 1400 a day

when i first started in may this year i was led to believe it was

bmr +exercise - calories eaten = decefit

i am confused - i so need to lose weight big time and i want to do it right.

if its 1400 a day for a person of my current size (247) i would really struggle

to me you are not eating enough - and going all day between breakfast and supper on just liquids is not healthy - have tried it and made myself bad.

eat small healthy meals and exercise - weight will stay off better.

you find you will lose weight with what you are doing but if you then start eating a bit more it will all soon go back on - have been through this too.

please be very very very careful

i am determined to carry on - i know that you can do it too

i would think that as long as you exercise and tone up as you go along you should be fine

i lost over 8 stones (112lbs) a few years ago and due to exercise i did not have loose skin over my midrif etc - did have cellulite but then most do no matter what their shape or size. i am hoping it will be the same again as i once again fight to lose my weight again

i second that - big time - we are here to support one another - not to put each other down etc etc (the first answer)

that is the whole point of the forum and after reading the answer from Robyn - i could not believe what i was reading - i have sent a pm to diorbaby asking her to reconsider - not to leave - i wont say what i personally feel about the two answers she listed - it would not be the right thing for me to do - all i want to say if that if she reads this - stay - dont leave - we are here to help - ignore the judgemental ones - they are not worth the time and effort
