Weight Loss Sagging Breasts Nov 20 2009

Here's what I did for my chest after losing 30 lbs at age 21.

I spent the next 30 years with babies, nursing, Gravity and menapause and know what sagging really is.  But the funny thing is I like 'em more now.  It's just a little more difficult finding a good bra.

Should have been more specific:  I don't think 1200 is a "dangerous starvation diet" but it is the stated minimum calories on this site and I do think it slows the metabolism with the exception of very petite and/or older women.

It does bum me out to see younger people trying to get by on so little.  If I, as a middle aged (yikes!) women, can eat the calories stated earlier then I probably could have consumed even more than that in my teens, 20's 30's etc..

It never fails to amaze me how fiercely some will defend the necessity of eating only minimum calories.

I'm female, 51, 5'4, 155, lightly active, and still lose on 1400 - 1500 and maintain on 1800 - 2000.  It irks me now to think I was dieting on 1200 calories when I was younger.

When I see healthly young people dieting/maintaining on so little It just bums me out.

and you do realize that you are losing on a calorie diet ONLY 200 calories or 2 APPLES away from what you are calling a dangerous starvation diet?

Two things:

1.  I didn't use the term "dangerous starvation diet"

2.  Those 200 calories (2 BIG apples or, my favorite, wheat toast with peanut butter) really makes a difference when you've cut back to lose.

Also a little off-topic:

I'm reminded of the time I took my kids to McD's for the new Power Ranger toy Happy Meal.  When told the restaurant had run out of that toy,  my son's response was, "This isn't a Happy Meal it's an Angry Meal!"

P.S. it could have been a Pokemon toy from BK, too.  Can't remember!

.......and grab one of the low fat dressings that we have.  And a cup of water.  Drink the water, and then fill it up with low calorie lemonaide (it's like 15 calories per serving).

Ordering off the dollar menu is frugal.  But asking for a cup for water and filling it with lemonade is stealing.

Wow, you must have a really great life then. Have some perspective on this. It's only weight - there are much worse things that could happen.

No need to be a fxcking Negative Nancy, now is there?

I think merylwhite1's post is quite positive.

This time I decided to set up a reasonable lifestyle, both eating less and moving more.  I decided it didn't matter how long it took me to get to goal weight, because I was living the same way I would continue living once I was at goal (maybe with an extra treat once in awhile).

This is working for me, too.  Instead of thinking "I'm on a diet" try to adopt this philosophy.

This might be a silly suggestion but try watching the TV series (UK) Freaky Eaters. You can find it on clips on YouTube.  Perhaps there is some technique that you can use to get you over your aversion to vegetables.

P.S. I'm not saying you're a freaky eater.

I have this problem too but you should be careful about using too harsh substances on your skin as it will over compensate for having all it's oils stripped away by making more oils!

Agreed.

Had the same problem when I was young and I found that the more times I scrubbed my face the more oily it became.

Good afternoon everyone,

Rats.  I let myself get a little behind, wanted to be over 50 miles by now.  Plus a few days of rain is forecast so it will be difficult to catch up.  I know I can still make 100 though!!!

(I might even be able to walk a few more this evening.)
