You're curious why people feel that it's necessary to defend her? Maybe because she's a human being. I feel that society/the media has painted her to be nothing more than a "crazy, dumb, ditzy, slutty, party girl" and that's not fair. Have you met her personally? How would you ever know the depth of her character? You wouldn't. You don't know what it's like to be a celebrity and have everything you say misconstrued and over-embellished. There are plenty of people who aren't the sharpest tools in the shed, there are plenty of people who telll lies (how apt would you be to speak publicly about your partying/drug use?), - but we don't persecute them. The real funny thing is how Paris haters complain about why she's even famous. Guess what? It's people like you who make her famous. People who like to make fun of her. I'm not trying to be argumentative but I hope you don't judge all people you don't know based on stereotypes and public perceptions. Sometimes there's a lot more to a person than you would think.

One guy who was saying she sounded dumb didn't even get the name for Mothers Against Drunk Driving right. It's because she's Paris Hilton - that's why everyone capitalizes on the slightest erroneous thing she may say. WHATEVER. Paris is loaded, hot, and free as a bird. Power to her!

I was really impressed after hearing Paris on CNN last night. She really is making a concerted effort to become a better role model and I think she spoke with eloquence! People fail to recognize that she HAS done things with her life besides make pornographic films. What about her NY Times best seller? Her perfume? Her [hilarious] TV show? She actually has made a name for herself. You don't hear half as much about Nicky Hilton and they were both given the same opportunities. Yeah, Paris has done some awful things, but I give her major kudos for the way she handeled herself last night. She didn't sell out any of her friends, which she easily could have done, and I thought that was admirable. :) I know no one will agree but I say leave poor Paris ALONE! lol

Hk were you saying you didn't understand why cs was comparing your opinion to assuming all overweight people are just lazy? I completely don't see any difference. Painting all supermodels with the same brush is simply unfair (and perhaps a sign of jealousy?).

Kathy - upon reading this thread I feel the need to comment on your holier than thou attitude. I think you should be a little less belittling to Kipp. Regardless of what happened, the issue is about the moderators and censorship. You just sound very rude to me.

Wow that's crazy...I'm 19 and we didn't start drinking until grade 9. My friend's parents would buy us alcohol and we'd be in a controlled environment which I don't really see as being too bad, but I can't believe so many parents would be willing to allow their kids to drink at that age - knowing it's wrong and being so secretive about it! From a kid's perspective I understand that they want to drink and have fun but as a parent I would never condone that either. Your daughter may be mad now but I'm sure it'll all blow over - girls can be so fickle!

I agree - the recipe's great! Mine did stick to the paper a wee bit - not enough to ruin them though. I could taste the diet coke but my family seems to like them! Woohoo. My icing didn't turn out that well, I used the fat free jello pudding and a bit of cool whip. I found it tastes really milky but again my family seems to like it. Maybe I'm just too picky :P

I think that depends on your dorm. For example, I ate nothing other than veggies and wraps and still gained weight. It was awful because the veggies were DRENCHED in grease! :(

I gained freshmen weight and lost it all so in September I'm just going to be trying to maintain. Woo, I no longer have a meal plan! I'm a vegetarian and basically all I ate at every meal was a wrap or veggies - the veggies were ALWAYS soaked in grease!!!! Sooo gross! I hope I keep fit in 2nd year...kinda nervous!
