| i want to be able to wear my hair up.
i feel like wearing my hair down is a way of hiding my fat face so i wear it down all the time. hair up makes youre body feel so exposed. the truth is i think women look the prettiest with thier hair up but to pull it off you need cheekbones and a neck line......anyone esle feel the same way>? |

| hey im im 18 turning 19 next week...
ive lost 35 pounds at my heaviest after leaving high school and ive been on for about a year! im now in my second year at college and two dress sizes smaller! ive gone from 172 to 136 (im 5 '3) so ive still got a long way to go! being the fat girl at college SUCKS i dont care what anyone says! i was made fun of but mostly just ignored. boys didnt look twice at me and made me feel worthless. girls made me feel ashamed to be confident and want to have fun. thats what GOT me motivated.... what KEEPS me motivated: walking into dining hall in a figure hugging outfit (i now have a waist and a sweet pair of tanned legs) and watching heads turn. boys who rejected you being told by thier friends 'god shes looking good' and that you 'got hot' knowing im just going to get better- theyve seen nothing yet... |

| Hi im a female, 5"3, 152 pounds
goal : 128 pounds, fit, more toned, more energetic and agile starting weight : 174 (before this site), 159 after joining site WHat im doing: 1hr slow/moderate walk daily, 1hr cardio four times week, eat what i want but less of it (normal meals instead of binging out of boredom and stress) What i want to do: drink 3L water daily, bump up the protien intake, limit cals from fat and sugar, limit sodium, eat more fibre, start some light resistance training 3 times a week. i gained weight this week because i completely neglected my cardio! wish me luck! |

| hey im 18, 5"3
I started college this year and was sick of being the 'fat girl'. Now im the 'very chubby girl'- but im getting there. I used to weigh 176 pounds (about 6 months ago). I am now 152 (through walking, and eating what i want but in moderation). Thanks so much for this post. I hear you girls, i get really put of by these skinny things who are 5"7 complaining about being 135! Even being really short - 135 would be a dream! I completely understand the family thing! Its sooooo hurtful when my dad would look me up and down in disgust and tell me to loose weight . Thanks dad, Its not like it helps! Being a teen, and overweight sucks. Im young, i want to be lean and confident- im ready to take control of my life. Wish me luck! oh and some advice: keep photos of yourself or take some of you now. I didnt think i had lost anything (or that it showed, since my grandma said i still looked fat) but looking at the photos really motivated me and i saw a huge difference- its really helped me keep in check how far ive come when it all seems overwhelming and hopeless. |

| Are you eating too little?
what happened to me was i was eating 1300 calories a day for about three months....(way lower than what i should have been despite being above 1200 calories)
I lost the weight quite gradually so i thought it wasnt 'starvation'- then my body randomly went nuts. I mean OUT OF CONTROL- i couldnt stop eating! i went four days straight binging- i mean - breakfast, lunch, dinner, dinner (2), DINNER (3).... WHat it was was my body having a reflux from being starved...aka the shitty side of starvation mode. you have a choice one month seems like a long time but it will pass either way. AT the end if it you wil either be: a) back to or partially back to where you were b) 4 pounds fatter than you are now - as a result of continued binging - from being depressed about the weight gain- its only one month. You can do it. Stick in there. |
