| Discontinue eating that brand and brush your teeth. I'm sorry, that's disgusting and I hope it's just a label misprint or something. But check to see if it has any other type of fruits listed... I doubt, though, that one bad cup of yogurt can make you sick or anything. Like, sick-sick, not that I wouldn't feel like puking too. call the company o.O |

| I curl my hair because I got bored with it and change is fun, and I've dyed it since I was 13 years old because I've had gray hair for that long... In my genetic pool, gray is persistant. My grandma's hair was gray at 24, my mother's at 16, her brother at 18, andmy brother at 19... I mind the grey because it looks bad and others would think I'm a little old lady =p even at 23! I feel your pain coconutboston... ugh. I'm envious of girls with their natural color, especially if their hair is curly. I just like having what I can't naturally have. and my brown/red hair is pretty, and it doesn't die when I go jet-black or blonde so why not have some fun? =] |

| Your boyfriend sounds extremely obnoxious, that's just what I see though... I don't know him or you but I'd certainly ditch him at the airport and suggest a body cavity search! I guess he could've over-reacted because he thought you were as consious as he was but I wouldn't have thought that much into it personally. I don't think it was okay for him to jump to conclusions or insult you with the hookers/old people/cancer patients comment. You handled it pretty well... From now, you guys should probably just act as kind as possible to each other so no one gets angry enough to go to the airport, though. Good luck and I hope you guys have a great time together. Maybe avoid the wig, although I'd wear it =] |

| oh boy. i cant even fill an A cup! I know I worked hard to get where I am... but sometimes I think I'd go back and stay the same for my b cup. =P i agree on that seeming crazy... Then again scientists are thinking of crazy new ideas about chemicals making breasts larger every day. Last week I saw a report about lipstick increasing chest size. I doubt you can find another country with the same averages as us. |

| I'd either go with the above or try some type of fake chicken by Boca or Morningstar. Morningstar Farms has a "chicken meal starter" which is strips of chicken to put in dishes, and it tastes EXACTLY like the real thing. I've fed it to my dad multiple types and he's never known the difference (even though he's a carnivore of 59 years). Good luck, and if you choose to eat natural chicken, don't think of it as harming an innocent animal because it probably got to live its life on a nice farm, just tell yourself it is WHAT YOUR BODY NEEDS. |

| honeycombs are 120 calories for 1 and a half cups, so the calories probably come more from the yogurt than the honeycombs themselves. I doubt it's very high in calories considering the lack of calories in honeycombs, but it sounds delicious so enjoy it =] | |||

| coldthindream: I hate my stubby legs too! Well not hate but... if I could be 5'8 instead of 5'2 you can guarantee I'd be ducking under doorways at this moment... Positivelinny: I'm so happy the Weight Gain Forum's up and running! I could've used it a while ago, but I'm sure it'll benefit people. torpidire- The muscle is a good thing =] How is it going with your family? Carmenxox- Ahh I wish I could go to Mexico! Glad it was great but the not going to the bathroom very often sounds a bit unpleasant =S Just keep up with recovery and you'll look healthy in no time. I agree with the scales=HORRIBLE invention. little_butterfly: What matters is that you want to gain weight for YOURSELF again! I doubt people will judge you as you gain, you'll probably get compliments on how you're beginning to look healthy again. There'll be highs and lows and you have to take the good with the bad. But we're here with you. On another note, I'm so majorly happy! Yesterday I went to a chinese buffet with dad and had one plate of food, half a plate of fresh peaches and pineapple and mandarin oranges, and a handful of sugar-covered almonds. THAT is portion control to the extreme for me. Today when I got up I ate totally normal, no restriction, and did about 73 mins weightlifting. Then I went outside and its SO NICE so I jogged for half an hour =] Im amazed, cuz I've always feared passing out from running haha. And the jogging probably got rid of the 2 handfuls of nuts I had with my lunch (I couldnt resist taking a purse-pocket full. :) ) I watched deadly Thin 3 days ago and I'm just really happy you're all safe and recovering. After seeing all the bad things on the news and TV, hearing about your recoveries is really reassuring that SOMETHING good is still happening. |

I have a wonderful daughter, and he's still my best friend (you cant choose who you love, can you? even though it sucks for me, I'm happy for the guy and the guy hes with. ha.) I wish it would've worked out even more because I think getting married young is just better and like you somehow put "makes you someone" sooner so you can get on with your life. I wish you luck, I just read you're engaged! CONGRATS! =] |

liza-lu: like others said, the journal is great! i suggest reading a really good book, or watching a tv series you like or something... to get off exercise id invite a friend over and we'd dance while we baked something, or watch a movie, or act like teenagers and play videogames and yell at each other =] if youve never read the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich I recommend it, it takes 1-7 days per book depending on your speed, theyre about 300 pages each, and they helped a lot, haha- she makes you feel good since shes a fast food addict and her partner at work is 250 lbs of "black fab". just remember that excercise is counter-productive, you can do this. coldthindream- congrats on eating intuitively, AND THE NEW MAN!! whoo! the crash mustve been terrifying though, glad youre okay. cass- its hard, but you can pull through. i was just like that, but once you accept that there is more to you than food and how you look, you can be free to pursue things that you truly enjoy. and what can i say, therapists dont work for me either... but im sure theres someone out there who you'll like and who can help, just try different people and dont stick with someone if you feel they arent accomplishing anything. keep truckin! i wish the very best for you oink! dayummm! you have some arm muscle goin on, too! i had that "what the hell" feeling today too and had some brownies. i feel great. recovery is a beautiful thing. and life isnt worth living if youre scared of chocolate, in my opinion. haha. yyonah- thats really odd. i didnt think someone could lose that much in a week. if youre feeling weak, id just cut out excercise all together till youre sure you can do it. maybe a couple light walks, but avoid cardio or weightlifting. i think increasing was a good idea also, but maybe aim 100-200 higher because according to the loss, 2100-200 is probably your actual maintenance level. good luck and keep us updated on how youre doing. everybodyyy! ive been eating intuitively for officially 3 days and i feel so free! ive had desert too, but i know ive been in proper range since ive been exercising. it feels wonderful. im not logging again, unless i yknow flake out and somehow gain 20 lbs. but ill still be checking in on you guys, have a good day : ) oh and torpidire- be satisfied with what YOU do, dont compare yourself to others because what really matters is how you feel. dont let others trigger you because you ARE doing great, and youre inspiring. try to get them on another subject, or tell them you're uncomfortable or bored with that conversation. dont have any doubts. and go listen to that one christina aguilera song. lol. |

| Don'tcha remember when you could eat all you want as long as it said "lowfat" or "diet"? and when you thought sugary cereal was good for you because it has vitamins put in it and had 9 g of whole grains? you might not, but i do =[ and everyone can agree thinking every filled-to-the-top bowl of cereal was one serving. so naive, haha. |

| Health & Support | Dr. ordered blood test results...help!!! | Feb 22 2008 20:58 (UTC) |

| i dont know anything about your conditions, really, but i suggest eating a couple bowls of Total cereal a day. 10% vitamin D, and with a healthy diet and being out in the sun, you should get to 100% no time. It also has 100% dv of Iron. I've read that your body can't absorb that many vitamins all at once, but that consuming them is better than a multivitamin or something. So I suggest eating one serving per day (half a cup twice a day). I do that on days I pig out on cookies or something and not too many nutritious foods, and assume it evens it all out. Good luck! |

| enia and oink- thanks for the reassurement, haha. I really thought I was nuts for that! Coldthindream- I agree with Oink. We're here for support and we'll help you pull through no matter what. I'm sure everyone agrees you can message any of us if you need to talk. Oink- You're a complete inspiration. It's great youre doing well, and birth control SUCKS. Also good luck with helping that girl. If you're not sure how to aproach her, Id just try flat out asking "Why would you do this to yourself?" and explain how you were once like her and how you never want to go back. That's what a friend did for me, although not because I made it well known I wasn't well, and it really helped me and made me a lot closer to that person. Stay strong everyone, and stay safe if its hailing and freezing where you are too! |

| Thank Gerard I don't eat beef. Oh lord, that's digusting and horrible! Sorry about the hotdog stories. I'd go nuts if someone let me eat one of those by accident. My dad made burgers a little while ago at family dinner and put an empty boca box on the table next to the plates. I go "You making burgers?" "Fake burgers. Just for you." "Then why are the packages from this box in the back of the fridge?" AHAHA. People can be dumb =] Although I don't approve of eating cow because of its health effects, I really wish the best for anyone who ate that stuff, and hope it was very well cooked! Poor kids, all the local schools got that shipped in and the principals announced it (also saying they cooked it well, while the neighbor boy insisted it's pink. EWW) |

| yoon2, i dont know you but congrats in your successful recovery! thats great! and yes. ive been getting that since i upped to 1500. ive started binge-ing on chocolate and honeycombs and such and its horrible. i suggest brushing your teeth when you feel the sugar cravings coming on- if i do, i dont pig out. if i dont... well, i just had about 700 calories worth of chocolate cookies on top of my other meals. -_- you can beat it, just find ways to distract or control yourself. im pledging today to not let it happen anymore, cause i know i worked too hard to let this happen. best of luck! which brings me to my downfall everyone... after those cookies (mum brought em over and i ate one piece to make her happy, but then i couldnt control myself and ate a countless amount) i tried to sacrifice'em back to the porcelain god. it was just an instinctal urge to vomit it out. like, not even with the thought of my weight or anything, and i dont understand it! im not proud of it but... nothing came out! i think my gag reflex is broken. i havent tried to purge purposely over normal food since i was thirteen! (ive accidentily eaten hamburger and barfed that up cause it made me so grossed out though. poor cow.) well im going, now, to talk to my best friend about it so he helps me feel less sick about doing that. least i know it doesnt work so i shouldnt ever try again. its weird that i dont feel very guilty about that, and that im not scared at all about all the chocolatey fat inside my body now. well i feel a horrible stomachache coming on, but still. just odd. anyone else have a strange experience like this...? |

| id consider that cheating, because fasting is not supposed to be for weight-loss. but i dont think you should be happy someone is losing weight the wrong way, and damaging their health. even though you want to win, i would try talking to that person about healthier habits and the bad effects of "quick-fixes". good luck with the contest, though! im glad you're doing it the right way. i suggest taking one day off exercising every week so your muscles can recover. |

| Heyy everybody! After my 6000-calorie binge (the biggest I've had in probably years! even on holidays i have self control!) I went back to my normal 1500... the scale says ive gained a few pounds, but I'm going off of my body- and feeling pretty confident, because besides an extra pinchful on my stomach, my bra is tight =] I hope you have fun in Mexico, Carmen! I'm way jealous! tahitisweetie123- i used to work out 2 hours a day during my athletica stage, but during summer swam 3-5. i was losing weight then, and had no idea it burned so many calories. now i do 40 minutes taebo 3 days a week, with an hour 2 days a week of weight training (with my pretty blue 5 lb dumbells haha) just recently i started taking an extra day off, so i wouldnt burn out. have a great weekend everyone, hope you had fun on valentines day! |

| I'm 5'2, and 98-103 lbs. I wear a 1/2. Or zero if I feel like sucking in. I don't know what that actually is, since America's making sizes smaller to make us feel less obese. I've got a couple handfuls of fat and skin on my stomach and inner thighs, but otherwise I look quite thin. Shirt size= small. If only I had a chest... *my turn to sigh* You'll feel much better if you don't compare yourself to others- no two people are the same, and you should aim for your own personal best. Lots of luck on getting back into a 3! =] |

| Wow! I'm really proud of you for eating more, and doing so well. The coffee and tea have insignificant calories, maybe 30 or 40 at most, unless you use sugar. Most people here use artificial sweeteners. You're doing absolutely wonderful. To remember how good you feel, you should print your post and put on a mirror or somewhere you see often. Seeing positivity about eating more helps a lot, I think. Today I had an apple and peanut butter instead of the huge tray of mini pink-heart-covered cupcakes on the table! That's the most successful thing I can think of, haha. Keep up the great work! |

| oh dear. I'm so sorry about all these experiences, no one should have to go through them. But I'm glad everyone's pushing on. I have tonnnnssss... many of them similar to these, but what sticks out in my mind- When I was only 12 1/2 I was completely in love with this guy, but I was overweight and anorexic so I constantly felt self concious. One night at his house, his mum came in and says "Lane I don't believe I have ever seen you eat, and you've been coming here every day but holidays for a whole year." And I was just like, I always eat before I leave the house. And the guy says "You are eating aren't you?" and I was like of course! Then my stomach growled reallllly loud and his mum offered me a huge plate of sausage and eggs. Oh boy, I couldn't deny it because I didn't want to be shunned because of my eating disorder. So I took a bite, and wanted to puke. But they just looked at me. Then I remembered what eating was like and how much I missed it. I scarfed down everything like a hungry MONSTER, then said I had to go home. I ran like the wind, and when I was in my house, I tried to vomit but no food came out. Then blood did and I was mortified and sat crying by the scale. Thank gerard I've grown up... And the feeling of having no energy and being like a newborn that can't walk definately wasn't fun, when I was lifting weights 2 hours a day with 1000 calories of nourishment. The worst now, ever, was yesterday. I ate the most I've ever eaten in my life, probably 8000 calories. I was crying and stuffing down food even though I wanted to puke. Today I still feel like dying. But this time a year from now, I know it won't make a positive impact so I'm trying to act as normal as I can and not restrict again. Good luck everyone! |

I know you don't like drinking calories, but you could make some fruit smoothies that'd have a lot of calories. Plus it's like eating sherbet ice cream! You look like you have a good balance of carbs/fat/protein, and good luck on gaining. |
