Hi Ildako,
So sorry to hear about all the tough things that are happening in your life right now. It seems that when tough challenges happen in your life, they seem to bring you to your knees! And that's where I'm going with my advice. Get closer to your relationship with God, give it all to Him. And it's normal to feel sad and depressed with what you and your husband are going through. So many people run to the doctor for drugs to numb the pain. But take it from me, it will only surface again at a later time. It's best to take things a day at a time, do all you can do at the present and don't worry so much about the past. God will be there with you through it all, you'll see. |

Hi ya Dollface!
I'm 52 and teetering between 148-150 lbs. I also am 5'3" so I'm starting to look a little chubby. I just finished a week of a diet called the cabbage soup diet. You can google it for the diet if you're interested. It claims that you can lose 10 lbs. in one week on this diet. Unfortunately, I don't have a scale, but I'm sure I've lost at least 10 lbs by the way my jeans are fitting...and my husband even noticed! Now that I've gotten a jump start on the 10 lbs, I'm going to be extra careful with what I eat. I also workout at Curves 4 times a week. I also want to start walking with my dogs on a daily basis. It'll do all of us some good! I really started packing on the weight when I tore something in my knee and had knee surgery last year. Being unable to be active and sitting around eating sure packed on the poundage...and it's a rough road back! But I'm trying to get down to about 120 lbs. I think that's do-able! I'm in Southern California. Married, no children, two lovable dogs. Don't have a job, but have a home-based internet business. I'd love to be your friend.

| That's cool denne! I learned how to do that in summer camp when I was a little girl. We used some kind of flat plastic strips and made key chains out of them. They make something now, I think it's called nifty knitters, but it's basically the same idea with different sized round hoops with pegs on them and you weave all kinds of things with it. I learned to knit and crochet from my mom. It helps me to get my mind off of worrying about things like not having enough money!!!!! It also keeps my hands busy so I don't munch when I'm watching t.v. at night :D My latest projects have been baby bankets and then I cross stitch the baby's first name on them for baby gifts. I make them blue or pink, depending on the sex of the baby and then embroider their name in white. My own creation! |

| Yes, I would definately complain to the cleaning company! Maybe they could buy you another Tasteycake or at least pay you for it! That's just not right!!! Maybe your DH could let the company know where he got it and they could order you another one. It's the principal of the whole thing!!!! | |||

| I've tried this before and it really works! If you need to get lipstick or a mark from pen or marker off of a white shirt, just spray the mark with hair spray! Then rub it off with a damp white cloth or paper towel. It's magic! | |||

| Oh yes....dogs are MUCH more fun than cats!! :D I have two big dogs, an akita and a lab/shepherd mix (see pics). They're the children we never had! And I'm sure much better behaved than most children! LOL. Anyway, I would totally recommend a lab or lab mix as a companion to you dog. They are the best family dog I have ever had. Very protective yet have such a big heart. My lab/shepherd (Lover Boy is his name) is highly intelligent and just a big LOVE! And I think it would be a good idea for Bestia to have a friend, whatever kind of puppy you get! | |||
| Weight Loss | Any success with apple cider viniger | Aug 07 2007 05:21 (UTC) |

| I haven't heard it used to help lose weight, but my husband uses Apple Cider Vinegar (Mother's Brand) to help with acid reflux. He swears it works. I don't believe in fad diets. Yes, you can lose weight initially, but you're not going to keep it off for the long haul, in fact, you probably will put it back on and then some!! The best way to lose weight is to just eat less and move more!!! Simple....eat what you want, just less of it and get up and move! |

| I don't have any children, but I am old enough to be your mom, so I'll give you my opinion based on just plain living experience! I think you're too young to make such a serious decision as to stay with one guy. That being said, have you two even discussed marriage? Is he wanting to make a commitment to you while you're off at college? If so, play it by ear for awhile. Keep in touch while you're away at college and see if he will remain true to you and see how you feel after you're apart for awhile. I think you'll know in time if he IS the one. |

Funny you bought your car in Temecula! Are you liking CT better than California? I'm sure it's beautiful there with the 4 seasons....but you can't beat this beautiful California sunshine!!! |

| I like cats and I've had some special ones that I loved...because they were more like dogs than cats! But I have two wonderful dogs that are our kids. Their pictures are in my profile if you'd like to see. I have a HUGE lab/shepherd mix named Lover Boy. He's about 110 lbs. and when he stands up and puts his paws on my shouders we dance together! Too funny! My husband named him and his name fits cause he definately is a Lover Boy. My other dog is a pure bred all white female Akita named Kita. Not too orginal of a name, but we got her when she was 3 and already named. She's special, but more of a prima donna. She even crosses her paws when she lays down, so femine! She's 13 now and not too active, but when she sees another dog, she perks up and her tail curls like a curly que pigtail! She is beautiful but more independent and doesn't need a lot of attention. She kinda has the personality of a cat! And purespark, Lucy is beautiful. She looks like a very special friend! |

| Hey ladies! I just got an e-mail WARNING kinda related to this subject I'd like to pass on. It was about an interview Sheryl Crow did on the Ellen D. show. She said that her breast cancer was caused by drinking bottled water from a plastic bottle left in her car. It seems that the heat melts some toxins from the plastic into the water and they have found these toxins in breast cancer. So the recommendation is to drink from a glass bottle or stainless steel thermos! Just thought I'd share! :) |

| Hi everyone! Yeah, I was wondering where everyone went too! Glad to hear from you. I finally had to turn on the air conditioner today! It's been really hot here the last 2 days. Woke up with a migraine, so I've been really lazy and just sleeping on the couch off and on today. But I have to get out and buy some dog biscuits for my dogs. They give me such looks if the cookie jar is empty!! (while I'm at it, I'm gonna get some sugar free fruit popcicles for me...yum!) :D I better get a father's day card for my step-dad too, almost forgot, shame on me! Have a great afternoon! |

| Wow gk! Sounds like you've come to rock bottom! I hope you realize that. A gift for your girlfriend is trivial at this point. What you need to do is get help. I was married to a man who would come home in a blackout too and do terrible things (thank God, he never hit me), but things that he had no recollection of the next day. He would always promise he would stop, but never happened on his own power. He was also involved with drugs, which ended up landing him in jail for 6 years. But before he got arrested, he finally admitted that he needed and wanted help and he was unable to do it on his own. He admitted himself into rehab and continued with AA meetings after he was released from rehab. He hasn't had a drink since and it's been 18 years. The best thing you can do for yourself and your soon to be family is get help! Learn to deal with life without hiding in a bottle. Your baby deserves a decent father. I don't know what will happen between you and your girlfriend. Will have to see after you get clean and sober. Good luck gk. Admit you need help and get it, please! |

| I have an older dog too (13) and she shakes so much her teeth chatter whenever I take her to the groomer or the vet. I feel so bad for her! I usually try to bathe her myself on the patio when the weather is warm enough and she's fine with that. But I have to take her to the groomers once in awhile to get her toe nails clipped (I'm afraid of doing that myself). But when I do take her to the groomers, I just try to have a happy, calm attitude (I think they can sense if you're nervous abouat it) and when she's done and home, I give her a treat (pig ears!) and tell her what a pretty girl she is and she seems fine with that. Another suggestion for the future, they have groomers who will come to your home and so they get the personal attention and no kennel for your doggie. She still may be nervous with that, but at least you're there with her through it! Good luck! |

| I agree....definately get a 2nd opinion!!! Seems like these dentists are out to "sell" you on lots of stuff you don't really need. Last time I went to the dentist, they wanted to replace all the fillings I had from years ago when they used silver....yeah, I'm no spring chicken....but anyway, they wanted to use some material that was better. All in all the bill was like over $2,000!!! I didn't have any cavities, so it seems the were trying to "create" some work! Anyway, my motto is....if it ain't broke, don't fix it!!!! Bottom line itailianprincess, go for that second opinion! Sounds like you take good care of your teeth and it's a little strange you'd have so many cavities all of a sudden? |
