| Hey Loven_Hearts! No, I didn't think I had an abcess, a lot of people told me that those were very painful and I just had a slight throbbing pain every now and again for a couple of days- usually I would just take a couple of advil and it would be okay but I just thought it was where the temporary filling came out. I just called to have it pulled (because it was the very back tooth) because I knew it had to be done anyways and was bothering me a little. I guess I didn't have much problem with the abcess b/c it was caught so early. Why is your dentist wanting to wait another 30 days to re-check you for one instead of crowning now while you don't have an abcess? or putting you on antibiotics now just in case? If you do have one I hope they catch it early for you too, I had a friend that had one and it was really bad- his jaw swelled and he had to take loritabs just to get any relief- although even those weren't enough! | Hey Everybody! sorry I haven't been on in a few days, I went to the dentist last week for a tooth extraction and found out it was abcessed- yuck! so I've been dealing with that and had it pulled yesterday- needless to say I was dead to the world yesterday!
I haven't been taking the Phentermine for like a week now (because there are complications from that and the anesthesia to have the tooth cut out) so I couldn't be on it. During the past week I put on 3 lbs =( but its okay. I went and did my weigh in at the clinic and they were proud of me showing up to do it. I started on it again today and I'm hoping I can get rid of those 3 lbs plus more! I'm still down 8 lbs total though ( was down 12) so better than nothing right? | Yeah definately, I hear that! lol. Its not so bad once you get motivated to do it, its just getting there lol. I haven't been feeling well today- apparently I have an abcessed (sp?) tooth so my dentist put me on antibiotics and i have to get it pulled next wednesday =( not so much looking forward to that. Are you on Phentermine too with the weight loss clinic? Thats what Im on, but kind of bummed b/c I don't think I'll be able to take it again until next week (after the tooth thing) b/c if they end up having to put me to sleep to cut it out I can't be on it they said. I can really tell a difference in my energy level between being on it and not being able to take it! I did make a note to myself in my food log book that the week after next I have GOT to do my exercises. I think maybe I'll walk on my lunch break or something since I'm so tired by the time I get home, cook dinner, clean up, etc. Thanks for the advice, I really just need someone to just tell me to get my lazy butt up! lol. | Congrats Vicki! Thats awesome! I hate to exercise. I started my diet 2 weeks ago today and I haven't incorporated exercise into it yet. I have just been concentrating on calorie counting and getting on that track first before I change too much. I'm just not sure if I say that as an excuse for not exercising yet or b/c it actually IS better than changing a whole bunch of stuff all at once and then getting tired of it 2 weeks down the road and throw out the whole plan =/. I guess I should just set a date, maybe a couple of weeks from now, and really just do it uh? Any tips? Thanks! Katie | |||

Don't get down! You've already lost 28lbs and thats wonderful! More than I've lost and my 11lbs has been hard enough!!! I have the bad habit of weighing myself too often also, we really should break that habit uh? That way we'd be more suprised with our loss every week, or every month or however long we can go without looking!! haha! Don't beat yourself up though, you really are doing great and you don't want to lose too much too fast, then it will just come back. 1-2 lbs is good for a week and definately go to the YMCA, it will make you feel better and be good for you! Just take it easy since you've recently had an injury but every move counts! Let me know how it goes! Good luck =) Oh- PS a pants size, shirt size AND bra size! AWESOME!!! See there, your also losing inches!! If your workout includes strength training or weights your probably building muscle (which weighs more than fat) so even if the scale goes up, you're still losing fat! Take Care! Katie Katie |

| Hi Guys! My name is Katie and I am just starting my weight loss journey! I am full of fear, anxiety, depression, hope, excitement, and happiness all rolled up! I am PRAYING I can do it this time! I am 26 yrs old and started going to a phyisician assisted weight loss center on May 15th, 2007. It was 2 weeks today. The nurse prac. put me on phentermine (I take 37.5 mg a day) and I am really liking it so far. I am also counting calories (trying to stay around 1500 or so per day) but it doesn't always happen. The Phentermine really gives me an energy boost and seems to be supressing my appettite (usually I would snack ALL day!) I also take Chromium Picolate to help regulate my blood sugar and curb cravings (I seriously haven't touched a piece of chocolate in 14 days!) ANWAYS! I'm 26, 5' 7" and my weight 2 weeks ago was 303. I am now down to 294! (yay!) BUT have about 134 to go! Sometimes it just seems like such a hard goal to grasp ya know? I just need some inspiration and came across the forums here! Everyone seems so nice and willing to help each other, I hope I can become part of your community and lose the weight with you guys too! Good luck! Katie |
