| Oh wow, I really need to catch up on this thread. I just moved into a new place and we just got our internet on Monday so I didn't weigh-in last week. Here are my stats: SW: 143 LW: 133 Today: 132.5 I really need to get back to the 130 from 3(?) weeks ago! |

| I second the 'don't give up!' post. I actually think it's wise not to weigh-in the day after a true binge because the number (which is mostly water weight) can be very discouraging. I wasn't going to weigh-in because I am feeling really bloated (ttom, haven't been to the gym in 2 days until this morning, ate REALLY badly on Monday...) but stepped on the scale anyway. SW: 143 LW: 130 Today: 133.5 Next week, I hope to be back to 130. Exam week is always hectic, and I haven't been working out as much as I should. Plus, I don't have a car right now and no one has had time to take me to the grocery store, so my food choices have been limited. But, I'm starting summer school in a week and I will have a car and be back to my routine, so I'm not too worried. Keep up the good work, girls! |

| Oh gosh. I always complain about my roommates but they don't sound nearly as bad as yours. Mine are nocturnal...they wake up at 4-5 pm (even though they never go out), reach their peak noise level from about 10pm-3am, then go to bed around 4am. Obviously, they just about never go to their classes. One of them failed P.E. for the second time this semester because she never went... They are random roommates because two of the girls I chose to live with are studying abroad this semester. So, they moved in at the end of December and when I got back to school for Spring term, the living room was rearranged and everything was set up all different. All the sudden, it was their apartment. And I'm a total pushover so there you go. And the thing is, they never even go out...they just stay in and are crazy loud talking about nothing important or interesting at 2am when I'm trying to go to bed before my 8am classes! Luckily, I am moving out in two days and into a townhouse with my best friend...so excited! |

| I'm not sure how much it'll increase endurance unless you are talking about very brisk walking, but I would say absolutely it would be beneficial. It gets your metabolism and cardio going and you'll probably feel more energized throughout the day. Also, if you make this a habit, eventually you may work up to running in the morning. I say go for it! | |||

| That's great you still managed to lose! Weight loss is a funny thing...I know sometimes after a semi-pigging out day, I've seen a permanent loss on the scale. It's the best. Ok, my weigh-in: SW: 143 LW: 134 Today: 130 (this is the 3rd day maintaining 130 so I'm super psyched!) I think my cleaner eating of the last 2-3 weeks (for the most part) has really been helping. And I feel great too. Now, if only I could focus on my exams...the first of which I have later this afternoon. (What am I doing on CC??) |

| wonderswhy- don't worry, I'm not ready to show the world (or our club) my bikini body yet...way too much flab still. At least you're planning on it! And I agree, everyone here is gorgeous and already have hot bods! I am happy to report that my scale read 130 yesterday morning and this morning. (This is my lowest weight probably in 5 years...) I did weigh myself both times after working out and before replacing the water I lost--I sweat a TON during workouts--but I'm still pleased. The thing is, I'm not feeling or looking much smaller, which leads me to believe it is mostly water weight and probably muscle too. I still look really flabby. I know I need to start doing weights (I do some but not a lot) for me to see the results I want. P.S. Whoever it was that doesn't like her belly button, it's probably not as bad as mine. Mine's been this weird, squishy hole for as long as I can remember. I hate it. |

| Your best bet are organic chips, but even then you have to look at the label. Olestra is the stuff they put in fat-free pringles and Wow chips...there can be nasty side effects like horrible stomach cramps and (I've only heard warnings) "anal leakage." Gross. | |||
| Weight Loss | Question for all- Conscious Bingeing? | Apr 28 2008 15:46 (UTC) |
1 |
| I would say every time I binge, it's a conscious decision. I'm not one of those "before I knew it, I had eaten the whole bag of chips." I know what I'm doing the whole time and usually I'm thinking how I'm going to make up for it. For me, what I'm doing is definitely still bingeing behavior. (And I haven't done it in a while *knock on wood*.) |

| Thanks, Jen and everyone for your input on my change in diet. Unfortunately, this weekend disrupted the whole eating "clean" thing because I went home to see a concert and ended up going out to eat and...you know how it goes. So, I definitely didn't expect a loss this week. But, I'm getting back to eating the right foods because I feel so much better when I do. SW: 143 (August) LW: 134 Today: 134 Sorry about everyone's TTOM! Only a few more days, right? :) |

| Hi everyone! It's been a while...I skipped last week's because I didn't make it to the gym (where my scale is) last Wednesday. But I did today... SW: 143 LW: 135 Today: 134 (although, I've been hovering at 133 for the last 3 days--I wasn't so clean with my eating yesterday) I know I shouldn't focus on the number, but I would love love love to be below 130 by the time I'm settled into my new place and summer school starts (May 15). I thought my diet could use a little switch-up, so I've started eating lots of egg whites, beans, veggies, yogurt, nuts, fish, and soy. I've been eating less fruit (maybe only an apple a day or a couple servings of cantaloupe) and almost no other starchy carbs. Is this ok? I think it's kickstarted me and I know this is weird, but my face already looks thinner. I don't want to go overboard though. Does anyone else eat really clean for a week or a few weeks, and then slowly add back in whole grains and fruits? And does it help? By "help" I mean do you notice a difference in the way you feel, look, workout, etc.. |

Please calm down...we have all had worse eating days. It sucks at the end of the day, but guess what? Tomorrow is a new start. You can't beat yourself up over food...put this all in perspective. This isn't the worst thing that could be happening right now, right? Is there anyone "real" you can talk to? A friend who is actually there with you? If not, there are suicide hotlines and you can talk to someone over the phone, which is probably better than online. Here is one: 1.800.442.HOPE Please feel better! |

| Wow, that was a really informative read! I didn't know that you were only supposed to weight lift the same area once or twice a week. Well, I hardly know anything about weight-lifting anyway. I want to take a class on it...sometimes I just feel like I'm making up moves, lol. And, bad me--I forgot to enter my weight on Wednesday but I did weigh in. I'm at 135, down from 139.5 the previous week. Mostly, if not all water weight but it's good to see that number again. |

| I also think the "eat consciously" is the most important rule, and that's the one I'm going to take to heart the most. (I probably won't be following the "eat only what you want" rule as strictly, because nutrients are important and I can't be eating a bagel or, like, cookies every day. | |||

But of course, that is no excuse for my week of indulgence last week... |

| Ok, after about a week and a half of being way off track (give or take a few days in the middle) along with it being ttom, my weight has sky-rocketed. Last week was my spring break and sadly, I gave myself a break after 5 weeks of being awesome with eating and working out. So I didn't even weigh myself last week, but my weight two weeks ago was 133. My weight today is 139.5. It's almost funny. But not. I'm calling half of it water weight. And I'm not worrying too much about it because I'm back on track and I have too many other things to spend my time worrying about (schoolwork!!!) |

| Weight Loss | so i ate 10k calories in 2 days.. | Mar 10 2008 18:07 (UTC) |

| This is crazy--I thought I was the only one! I had been doing so well for 5 whole weeks at school. Working out every day and eating really healthy...I go home for a one week break, and all hell breaks loose. All the weight I lost (which came off very slowly) piled back on in 5 days!!!! I know some of it is water weight, and I'm incredibly bloated from this disastrous week. I cannot wait to see the number on the scale and have my clothes fit like they did a week ago. I bring this on myself too--like, I went out and bought all these snacks, I made french toast, etc. And absolutely no working out. The thing is, this happens every time, and I lose it and go back to normal when I get back to school, so somehow I end up thinking it's ok. But by doing this, I never make any progress, and I just end up going backward! Aghhh. |

| I'm sorry about your accident, Rennai! I'm glad you're ok. I have to say, I feel like sometimes my body is more willing to shed the pounds when I work out less...so maybe a little break from cardio won't do much harm. :) Anyways, my weigh-in today made me really happy. 133! Down from 136 last week (when I was up a pound from the week before.) And that weight is from the gym when I had all my clothes on and my shoes. So, I got home and right before I took a shower, I stepped on my crappy analog scale and it said 130!!! Of course, I'm going with 133, but I can't help but remember that my crappy analog scale said 140 when I started being more serious about this 4 weeks ago...lol. |

| Well, I'm up a pound this week to 136. :(
I'm just finishing TTOM, so I hope that I'm still retaining water. I was almost at 140 at one point...then again, after weighing in at 135 last week, I was fluctuating between 134 and 137, so who knows? Still disappointing though... |
