okay, sounds boring, but when I was that age my friends (and now husband) used to stay up all night playing dominoes. We had a huge set and it came with instructions on various different games we could play. It was especially fun to play in teams. So if you know another couple.... maybe you could convince them to try it. Or maybe not. Just a suggestion. good luck.

Any body else every have the sound mess up? This season has been okay, but in season's past... sometimes the music is real loud and i can barely hear what they are saying. Is it just my cable network or is that a problem with Bravo? |

Suede thinks Suede is cool. Gosh, that is so annoying. Some how he will end up staying around just because he is annoying. (I do know his name though, guess he has that working for him) I agree I liked the black dress and the winner looked like something a barbie would wear. I didn't understand why she won. Maybe they didn't want to give the person with the black dress immunity, since she was in the bottom the week before? |

I really like the way fiber one honey cluster cereal taste. (although I haven't tried the Kashi GoLean that everyone raves about) I think fiber one taste like Kellogg's raisen bran, which i like. I really needed to up my fiber and fiber one really helped with that. I almost got kashi the other day, but noticed it did not have as much fiber as fiber one:( |

| Weight Gain | Theme parks and weight gain - how to calculate?! | Jul 31 2008 17:35 (UTC) |

First of all, have fun at the park. Take a small back pack and fill it with snacks you like. Then if you need a quick bite and your stuck in a line or the family isn't hungry, you can dive into your snack pack. I would take a day off from calorie counting and have fun. It isn't everyday you get to go to a theme park (well, not in my life). I know you are stressed about not getting enough calories, but give your self a well deserved break. Try to take plenty to eat and keep an eye out for lactose intolerant-friendly food. Hope you have fun! |

Hi! We are almost twins. I am 37. I am 5 foot 1 and a quarter. (every cm counts). I was 150ish! I started awhile back, so now I am down to 105ish. Anyway, I have to kids, so I understand the snacking issues. My downfall are cashews. My son loves them. (and unfortunately so do I) As far as calorie counting. It gets easier. You just have to be diligent. Soon you will know roughly about how many calories are in the foods you eat (after you have looked it up 30 or so times! lol) |

Where are the child's parents when the 4 year old comes over? Only recently did my almost 4 year old start going on play dates without me. I have two kids. My daughter is 6 and my son will be 4 in October. My 6 year old didn't have play dates without me until she was in Kindergarten. Anyway, I agree with juliemae2. I would say that is sound advice. II have never had a child over that acts in such a manner. On occasion there may be a disruption but it is usually minor and we just change gears and play something else. I would say that 3 and half and 4 are somewhat young for playdates. (only my opinion) My almost 4 year old has had his best friend from Preschool over a few times and even though they get along great there is a big difference between a play date with 6 year olds and 3 and a half year olds. I can not leave the room when the boys are playing without expecting some sort of controversy. (not even to go to the bathrooms!) At that age they are learning to interact. So sometimes they need a lot of guidance in that respect. Perhaps you can look into local play groups or consider preschool once or twice a week. That would give your daughter some more interaction with other kids her own age. Not to mention give your mother a break every once in a while.

I agree that you should report the guy. What he is doing is wrong, no it's, and's or but's. I would make talk to his supervisor. The EEOC (Equal Employment Oppurtuntiy Commission) website may be helpful to you ( http://www.eeoc.gov/ ) . Filing a charge with the EEOC would be a last resort. First talk to the immediate supervisor and let them know what is going on. Start documenting incidents. Writing down dates, times and exactly what happened and who witnessed the incident. If at all possible take that information with you when you speak to his supervisor. This may seem all overwhelming, and that is understandable. You shouldn't have to walk away from the job, but no one would blame you if you did. Well, I wouldn't pass judgement on you. As for your husband.... I am divorced and now happily married to a wonderful guy. Your husband is not being supportive for what ever reason and that sucks. Have you tried marriage counseling to talk things out? If he won't consider going, well, then perhaps you may really consider if you are in the kind of relationship you want to be in. Good Luck. |

| Foods | Fiber...not getting enough | Apr 09 2008 00:27 (UTC) |

You may want to up your fiber intake slowly. Too fast and it may do a number on you. Make sure you are drinking enough water, to keep things moving. Also, I noticed someone recommended the fiber one bars... although delicious I have know numerous people that can't eat them. (they can cause you to have flagellates at very inopportune times and frequent trips to the bathroom) Personally they make my stomach cramp. (just beware, maybe eat half and wait a few hours?) I do love the fiber one honey clusters cereal. That is what we have for breakfast every morning. That is half of your fiber for the day! Try high fiber bread, if you haven't already. Some tortillas have a lot of fiber. Popcorn, granola bars. I don't eat too many fruits or veggies either, so that is how I get it. Hope this helps.

Alright, at least you guys have given me a few laughs. (wow, I have no life) I know things could be worse, but think I will extend the pity party until midnight anyway *sigh* Okay, my pizza kind of sucked. They screwed up the toppings. Figures, huh? I wanted spicy Italian sausage and it was some regular hamburger. Of course I picked it off and ate some anyway. But to top it off, I just talked to my in-laws (whom I love dearly). They went to my favorite Japanese restaurant without me. Any more bad birthday stories would really cheer me up. (just so i know i am not alone, not that I enjoy other people's misfortune)

Thanks for the birthday wishes. As far as some one watching the kiddo? Well, my family is treating my son like a leper, so they won't get anywhere near him, hence no baby sitter until he is better. They were going to take me out to dinner tonight, but that is off. Hopefully he will be better soon. I am trying to work out getting my 6 year old to her soccer game Saturday. (if he is not better) She also had 2 birthday parties to go to and may miss them. I am really hoping she doesn't get sick too. Or me! My husband and I were going to try to go on a date, but it is all contingent on when he gets back and if the kids are well. I do think I will order pizza tonight. (and not worry about the calories:) |

Fiber one cereal is great. I find it fills me up and taste good also. Bananas are good. And a high fiber bread helps too. I was hungry at first, but after a few weeks it got better. I would just snack on carrots or a few cashews. I did eventually lose my baby weight! (45 lbs!) So it can be done, hang in there. |

Try cereal or a breakfast bar/granola bar in the morning. Fiber one cereal is great and would be great for everyone in the family. It would only take 10 minutes to eat a bowl of cereal and a breakfast bar you could eat as your walking to class (or whatever.) If you don't have lunch, bring some snacks to eat in between classes. I like to snack on cashews. You need to eat something during the day. Make a sandwich the night before if you have to. I am 5'2" and was 152ish. Now I am 108, so it can be done. Good luck. And I agree with erica, if your parents aren't helping you out try talking to someone else you trust. |

I too lied and said I was 140, but I was more like 145 (atleast) okay, probably 150. Now I am down to 120. I won't change it until it is time to renew. Maybe that explains a few looks I have gotten from cashiers. Hadn't thought about how different I look from my DL picture;) |
