That really sucks :( I find that planning out what I will eat at certain times really helps me keep control over how much I eat. Maybe write down a schedule for eating, and try to stick to it closely. For example, I eat breakfast at 9, lunch at 11:30, snack at about 2:30 and dinner at 6... and I know exactly what I am going to eat ahead of time. It helps me, and I hope it can help you too!!

Haha, chill out! It's not that bad. (Although, I admit I like middle school better. But that was just me.)

The school seems big and confusing at first, but you get used to it really fast. I knew my way around in a matter of days.

Older kids don't really pick on you much, if at all. Homecoming is probably the most dangerous time for frosh, at least at my school.

Spanish is pretty easy for me. My teacher goes pretty slow, and a lot of spanish words sound like their english counterparts.

I don't have THAT much homework, since they go pretty easy on freshmen. I am, however, in the IB program, which starts in junior year, and I've heard about people pulling all-nighters and staying up to 2 or 3 because of homework. But that's not til I'm a junior.

Advice? Join clubs. Do sports (track is awesome! try it out!). Get to know upperclassmen, because they're actully pretty cool. Try not to procrastinate, and have fun!!

Oh my god, the same thing happened to me in the locker room at track last week! There's these two really thin girls with lockers next to mine, and they were just talking nomally as they were changing. One took off her shirt, and of course she has the flattest belly EVER. She started whining about how fat she was, and pinched this tiny bit of skin between her fingers, calling it 'blubber'. The thing that really pisses me off is that when she's at practice, all she ever eats is candy and junk food, and she's still underweight.

Also, I'm joining. I really want to be able to look great in a bikini this year! <3 And, let's see, at least one pound a week... that puts me right at my goal by the end of May! Let's see if I can do it! I'm pumped!

Lol thanks technicolor, but I'm having a hard time picturing how exactly to do that.. wouldn't lifting your bottom leg be lifting both legs, since the other leg is on top?

I never told anyone, but my mom noticed I was eating healthier, and she supported my fully. <3
My friends noticed too, and they make fun of me when I bring healthy foods like carrots or apples to the movies or mall, which is really getting on my nerves. It's like, hello, I'm being HEALTHY. Why is that funny??

Oh gosh I totally feel your pain. It's good you're still working hard though- I've basically completely lost motivation. I weighed about 128 at the start of last summer, lost 10 lbs, then gained it all back during the holidays. (now I'm slightly depressed :| ) I can't seem to keep weight off of my freaking body, it sucks.

Oh my gosh, I feel the same way after lifting weights. Right after I finish, I get in bed (I lift sort of late ;;) and I'm just sitting there, and I can feel my arms shaking for a few minutes...

I also like Snow Patrol (the songs Hands Open, Shut Your Eyes, Spitting Games), Muse (Supermassive Black Hole, Stockholm Syndrome), CSS (Music is My Hot, Hot Sex) ...lol
and a ton of other bands like Motion City Soundtrack, She Wants Revenge, Paramore, etc..

I also like listening to loud, upbeat songs in different languages (I have a ton of random stuff in Japanese, Spanish, and German on my iPod)

It's probably just fluctuation, or maybe even muscle that makes it look like you're gaining. Don't starve yourself - I've tried it, and I gained all the weight back plus more. It's not a good idea.

Good job!! It seems hard at first, but once you get going, and the weight starts to drop off (even if it does take months) it's a great feeling to know that you're actually getting closer to your goal.

whuduuupp, you're the same age and height as me and I think your weight is perfectly fine! You're basically at my goal XD. You want to lose 20 lbs?! That's a lot for your current weight! I think if you lost more than 4 or 5 lbs, you would be underweight... that's not good.

I know just how you feel; I'm an apple freak too! I usually eat them as a snack or part of a meal, though, wheareas you seem to make them your main dish. For breakfast today I had some Special K cereal, milk, and an apple. :) Sometimes I scramble myself an egg and eat it on whole wheat bread (accompanied by a piece of fruit, like an apple or banana) or make cinnamon toast... which is just toasting bread and putting some cinnamon on it. It's pretty good, though! I try to make sure my breakfasts are between 250-350 cals. If I come up short, I add dairy or fruit.

Oooohh can I join in? I'm 14, 5'2", and 119 lbs. My goal is about 112 lbs by...well, ASAP I guess! I don't have a date really... it was supposed to be before school started, but i doubt that'll happen, since school is getting closer by the minute...

You are defenitley not alone; I do the exact same thing. In the summer, both my parents are gone basically all day, so it's hard for me to control what i eat. Ice cream is probably the biggest lure for me...I just try to stay away from the fridge. XD
