Missy, I just took my first shot today. I am hoping to only use it for a short time because I don't want to have to take it for life. I had a close friend that heard about it from a close friend and it is working for both of them. I am excited, but feel guilty because ultimately I am trying to teach myself not to eat so much so I hope this helps "shrink my stomach" fast so I will eat less. Thanks for your post! Natasha |

First of all - CONGRATS! I am so thankful there is something like this to share the excitement as well as woes with people! Second...after loosing 20 pounds about 8 months ago, I am at a plataeu. I still need to loose 20-30 more, but I am loosing motavation and heart that it will ever happen for me. I have found that hearing stories of others has been the best motivation of all. Does anyone know where to look for inspiring stories? I need all the push I can get. Thanks! |

The Weigh Down Workshop is....well there are online classes, but I started with a local class. It has a "spiritual" base, but is nothing to be intimidated by. If anything I would encourage you to read "The Weigh Down Diet". This is not at all a diet book, but it is amazing, it teaches all the foundational principals about how to beat emotional eating. I was AMAZED that after YEARS of personal training and diets, that I lost 20 lbs. without restricting foods AT ALL! I still ate cheesecake, ice cream, etc. and I did it without exercising!!!! I still have 20 lbs to loose, but this has given me hope after years of failure. Go to www.weighdown.com thanks for starting this "blog" for 20's girls! |

Hello! I am 25 and so far I have lost 20lbs. I still have about 20 to go and I am at a bit of a plateau. The thing that helped me with emotional eating was a program called the Weigh Down workshop. It helped me get the focus off of food. I was so bad I would wake up in the morning and the thing that would get me out of bed was thinking about what I was going to get to eat! I would eat when I was bored, sad, happy, with friends, without friends - any excuse for a meal. It was horrible. I actually lost the 20lbs without exercising at all. It was amazing. Now I just need to do that one more time! It is nice to meet you and I wish you luck! ~Natasha |
